260927 00:58AM — Green Heck was delayed about 20 minutes when Zero found a tree across the road on RS6 Anchor-Matson. The tree was not present during Zero’s Heck-Check this morning, reinforcing the importance of their lead car role. The tree was reportedly big enough that all six competitors had to stop and help remove the obstruction!
That even comes after car Zero (a stage rally recce car) lost an ignition coil and the photo/RRSS vehicle had to fill in as zero for the first five stages.

We are indebted to Rock Creek General Store for opening their doors to the rally outside of their normal business hours, saving us about 40 minutes of transit for the midpoint regroup break.
02:11AM Update — Car 2 Frame/Johnsen took a wrong turn onto Height of Land and had to slam into reverse to stay on time!
On the other hand, Car 4 Onofre/Terry missed a turn onto Kanten Tr, sending them a few miles in the wrong direction.
So far sweep has been doing a great job of keeping the crew together, and despite worries earlier in the day, most roads are turning out to be in pretty good condition.
