MI: Press On Regardless National Tour, Gaylord

You are invited to join the SCCA Detroit Region for two 230-mile brisk time-speed-distance, National Tour RoadRally(s) in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula with a separate sanction for each day. Many historic, challenging, and fun roads from the 1960’s and early 70’s Press On Regardless® aka POR will be used. The Richta GPS Checkpoint app will be used for timing. During the rally, when each car reaches a checkpoint, the contestant’s device will signal a checkpoint has been reached. The device will then display your time and score (early or late). Your total score for the rally to that point will also be displayed. The cumulative score from both days will determine the overall winner of the 2026 POR. You can expect around 100 checkpoints each day.
First run in 1949, POR is the oldest continuously run rally in North America. These straightforward (absolutely no traps) Tour RoadRally(s) will use a mix of unpaved (80%) and paved (20%) roads varying from smooth fast gravel roads to tight and technical single lane roads. While not a car breaker, vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended. Liberal use of free zones and pauses help you navigate through any rough areas on the route.
Pre-registration is required and closes on Tuesday September 8 at 9:00 PM EST.
