RoadRally Back in the National Press
Should you need confirmation that RoadRally is well on its way to being an important program within the SCCA again, the latest edition of SportsCar delivers that proof. In addition to the five-page article on the USRRC and Rick Beattie’s column, RoadRally is given affection by Randy Probst in his Probst Position article. Philip Royle gives it the fourth mention in his From The Editor column, found on the last page. There was even a RoadRally ‘month’ in the annual calendar which accompanied this edition of SportsCar. I do not remember this breadth of coverage in all the years I’ve been reading the magazine.
Call me crazy if you must, but I feel we have some real momentum within the Club. That results from years of hard work by people on the RRB, NEC, Rallymasters, Safety Stewards, and others. 2021 presents us with more opportunities to grow the program, including things like the great participation in sessions at the virtual Convention, the revived Regional RoadRally Development Committee getting up to speed, and National Staff members interested in what we do. Please take a moment to feel good about this, and then get back to it!
