The Knox County Knock About Rally is on Sunday\, April 16th\, starting from the Arby’s in Vincennes\, IN. Check-in opens around 12:30 PM\, the Drivers Meeting at 1:00 PM\, and the first car will depart on the course after the Driver’s Meeting. \n\n\n\nThe route\, approximately 107 Km in length\, is just under 2 hours\, and visits to the exotic locals on Verne\, St. Thomas and Iona. CAST (Change Average Speed To) are somewhat brisk but easy to maintain. Roads are in good repair with no gravel. DESCRIPTION:Find Another Opportunity\, the first TSD RoadRally of the 2023 Rally Season for the Southern Indiana Region\, takes place on Sunday\, February 26th\, by Rallymaster Bob Sonntag. \n\n\n\nThe route is all paved. Not all of it nicely paved; but\, it is all paved…except the antique bridge that’s more planked than paved. The route runs from Hardee’s in Evansville through Vanderburgh\, Warrick\, and Spencer counties to get to Turoni’s Pizza in Newburg\, Indiana. \n\n\n\nIf you’re new to TSD (Time/Speed/Distance) rallies\, plan on being at Hardee’s by noon. Rallymasters Suellyn and Dave worked to eliminate potential delays at traffic lights and railroad crossings. The instructions and generous street name revelations should result in fewer off-course incidents.  \n\n\n\nRegistration 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM at the Penn Station Subs restaurant located at 4827 Davis-Lant Drive\, Evansville. Drivers meeting 1:00 PM. \n\n\n\nFirst car off after driver’s meeting. DESCRIPTION:This is the 4th point rally for SCCA’s Southern Indiana Region. \n\n\n\nIt starts near the Dairy Queen restaurant on HWY 144 on the east side of Owensboro\, KYRegistration is from 12:00 noon – 1:00 PM\, with the first car off after the Driver’s meeting. \n\n\n\nThis is a rally that will use the Richta GPS App. Go to your smartphone store\, find the ‘Richta Competitor’ rally app\, and download it on a connected device. The app will be used to score the event. \n\n\n\nThe entry fee for SCCA members per car\, one driver & one navigator\, is $32The entry fee for a non-SCCA member per car\, one driver & one navigator is $43  \n\n\n\nPre-event registration is required.  We will not be doing registration on-site. SUMMARY:IN: CASTatrophic Times Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:CASTastrophic Times is a fairly brisk rally and is mostly run on the fun roads of Henderson County\, Kentucky. The route is about 100 miles and takes just under 2.5 hours. \n\n\n\nThe gathering point is in the Hardees. Entrant check-in and tech will be from 12:30 to 1:00 PM\, with the first car out about 1:30. \n\n\n\nFollowing SIR/SCCA COVID-19 policy\, the event is motorsportreg.com online registration only. You must register before 6:00 P.M. Saturday. The driver must register first. The navigator then connects to a registered driver. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $32 per car. There’s an additional $10 charge for non-SCCA member drivers. When payment is processed after the event\, SCCA member or not\, the SIR ‘Pay to Play’ discount will be applied. That’s a $5 saving to those that have run the previous rally…and running this rally gets you ‘Pay to Play’ for our next rally. \n\n\n\nThe main road rules in use will be following the center line and straight as possible. There’s no T rule and thus no counting of opportunities at T’s. There are lots of references to road numbers throughout the route. It should be easy to follow. \n\n\n\nNovice tutoring will be offered at about noon. If you’ve only tried autocrossing\, this rally could open your eyes to how much late braking and heavy throttle application it takes to maintain a 48-55 MPH average on roads that have hills\, bends\, and some sharp turns! \n\n\n\nPS:  On the Apple or Android smartphone or tablet device of your choice\, please have the newest Richta Competitor application installed. A new version was released recently. It’s a free app. Teams MUST devote one device to running the application to be timed at the checkpoints.  The route has been tested with Android version 1.20.
