SUMMARY:IN: More Scrambled Legs Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Southern Indiana Region kicks off their rally season on Sunday\, March 8th\, with More Scrambled Legs. The event will start from Hardee’s in Evansville\, and Rallymaster Bob Sonntag encourages you to arrive a little early if this is your first rally or first rally in a long time.; there will be some brief tutoring to make your day more fun!\n\nHere’s the link to information and registration in MSR:  https://msreg.com/2026-RALLY-1. Preregistration is required; there is no onsite registration. Drivers register first and then the Navigator. Please\, do not bring someone who is not registered. Guests should use the SpeedWaiver process during registration.\n\nThe route is all paved. Nearly all of it nicely paved. There’s spot about 40 feet long of “tough winter” and it’s not a problem.\n\nThose with good memories may remember last year’s Scrambled Legs and this second helping is a different take on much of that route.  Oh sure\, there’s a visit to Buente Road\, a touch of Trapp Road\, a little counting of Opps at Ts\, some loops\, and one other little thing to see who will drop shell into their omelet.\n\nAdjustments have been made for the 90s that aren’t “CASTable.”\n\nWith breaks & no mistakes\, the route runs about 97 miles and will take about 3.25 hours to get to Los Bravos on Evansville’s west side.\n\nJoin us and see if\, as a friend put it\, if this rally is all it’s cracked up to be.\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Southern Indiana Region presents their next summer Road Rally on Sunday\, June 23rd\, and will incorporate “Straight as Possible” as the only Main Road Rule. \n\n\n\nRally #3\, the Hill and Dale Road Rally will start at Penn Station Sub Shop in Evansville\, IN\, before heading out to explore some of the best paved roads in both Warrick and Spencer counties. It will incorporate federal highways\, state highways\, county roads\, and streets in small towns as well!  \n\n\n\nIt is just short of 100 miles long and will take roughly 3 hours to complete\, with the included breaks. The Rally Masters are Harold and Karen Davis\, and the rally will use the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints app.  \n\n\n\nWe hope to see you there!  And remember\, online registration through MotorsportReg only\, no walk-ups. DESCRIPTION:The Cabin Fever Vaccine Drive is a simple Time/Speed/Distance drive for lunch to The Overlook in Leavenworth\, Indiana. It’s a vaccine without pills or needles and has now been approved by the RRSS (which is not the FDA). \n\n\n\nThe route is all nicely paved and is nearly overloaded with checkpoints.  In a break from our norm\, the event will be scored in six sections with cumulative scoring within each section.  (If you don’t understand\, don’t fret.  It won’t be a problem.) \n\n\n\nThink of the vaccine as a simple drive with lots of feedback on your ability to maintain a constant speed. The checkpoints come so often that there’s little time for much correcting between some of the checkpoints. There are few speed changes. Free zones are through congested areas\, so there is no CAST issue stress there. With the number of checkpoints\, high checkpoint scores (without WORKING to get them) should be rare. Total scores may be another thing because there are SO MANY checkpoints\, and the cumulative scoring ripple. \n\n\n\nThis 80-mile route even has two bio break opportunities. \n\n\n\nThe starting point is the McDonald’s on Bartlett Ave. in Evansville.Check-in at 9:00 A.M. DESCRIPTION:CASTastrophic Times is a fairly brisk rally and is mostly run on the fun roads of Henderson County\, Kentucky. The route is about 100 miles and takes just under 2.5 hours. \n\n\n\nThe gathering point is in the Hardees. Entrant check-in and tech will be from 12:30 to 1:00 PM\, with the first car out about 1:30. \n\n\n\nFollowing SIR/SCCA COVID-19 policy\, the event is motorsportreg.com online registration only. You must register before 6:00 P.M. Saturday. The driver must register first. The navigator then connects to a registered driver. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $32 per car. There’s an additional $10 charge for non-SCCA member drivers. When payment is processed after the event\, SCCA member or not\, the SIR ‘Pay to Play’ discount will be applied. That’s a $5 saving to those that have run the previous rally…and running this rally gets you ‘Pay to Play’ for our next rally. \n\n\n\nThe main road rules in use will be following the center line and straight as possible. There’s no T rule and thus no counting of opportunities at T’s. There are lots of references to road numbers throughout the route. It should be easy to follow. \n\n\n\nNovice tutoring will be offered at about noon. If you’ve only tried autocrossing\, this rally could open your eyes to how much late braking and heavy throttle application it takes to maintain a 48-55 MPH average on roads that have hills\, bends\, and some sharp turns! \n\n\n\nPS:  On the Apple or Android smartphone or tablet device of your choice\, please have the newest Richta Competitor application installed. A new version was released recently. It’s a free app. Teams MUST devote one device to running the application to be timed at the checkpoints.  The route has been tested with Android version 1.20.
