SUMMARY:PA: Lenapehoking Challenge Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Philadelphia Region will hold seven rallies\, three just for adventurers curious about or new to road rallies and others for current and aspirant Divisional and National competitors\, over the October 11-14th Weekend. Many\, many covered bridges and beautiful horse farms abound.  \n\n\n\nOn Indigenous Peoples’ Day\, Monday the 14th\, As the Crow Flies\, a Regional rally\, is excellent for families as it requires no calculations\, visits several Chester County historical sites\, and allows you to choose the roads your team will use. All rallies start from The Courtyard by Marriott in Coatesville\, Pennsylvania. \n\n\n\nMark your calendars today! Online Registration will open no later than July 30th. \n\n\n\n\nThe Lenapehoking Challenge 2024 rally names\, dates\, and types below are daunting: National\, Divisional\, Regional\, Course\, Tour\, and GTA. Your options will be easy to see when Registration goes live on July 30th. We will update you with the links as soon as they are available. \n\n\n\nFri\, Oct 11th\, Afternoon • Brandywine Creek Navigational Scatter Divisional GTA Rally\n\n\n\nRallymaster Bruce Gezon • This rally runs along Brandywine Creek\, yet you can choose your route to the selected waypoints! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSat\, Oct 12th • “0” (As in Zero – the Checkpoint Score You Want!) National Tour Rally\n\n\n\nSat\, Oct 12th • “0÷2” Regional Tour Rally\n\n\n\nRallymaster Bruce Gezon • In addition to the rally traveling through the countryside of covered bridges and horse farms\, we’ll stop at the National Watch & Clock Museum. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSun\, Oct 13th • Little Appalachian 51 National Course Rally\n\n\n\nSun\, Oct 13th • Littlest Appalachian 51 Regional Course Rally\n\n\n\nRallymaster Clyde Heckler • As a Course Rally\, this is a “run in the country” on those scenic roads\, with the challenge of the National Course Rally Rules added to the game. Explore parts of Chester County you have not seen before! As the Crow Flies is a shorter version of the Divisional GTA Rally. There is no limit on the number of people in the car for the GTA rallies.

The SCCA is the premier motorsports organization in the United States\, with more than 65\,000 annual members. SUMMARY:PA: SCCA Heck's And Back Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Heck’s and Back Roadrally is sponsored by the Philadelphia Region SCCA with the cooperation of Blue Mountain Region. The Heck’s and Back GTA RoadRally is a question-and-answer Divisional Rally that will traverse some scenic back roads in Berks County\, many of which will feature hex signs common in the area. Rallymasters Bruce Gezon and Clyde Heckler have designed a course that features some questions containing a few tricks (traps) to separate the scores.  \n\n\n\nWe offer two classes: Experienced (team members have run five or more rallies combined) and Novice.  There will be awards (hex sign themed) for first and second in Experienced\, and first through third for Novice entries.     \n\n\n\nOur route will cover approximately 70 miles\, and you will have 4 hours to complete it. The route is totally paved\, so there are no worries about dirt/rocks. \n\n\n\nAfter you register\, approximately two weeks before the event\, you will receive general instructions explaining the rules for the rally\, how to follow the course\, a glossary of terms included in the route instructions\, scoring\, etc.  General instructions will also eventually be available on this webpage.  \n\n\n\nStart:Saucony Creek Brewery Company + Gastropub in Kutztown\, PA.    \n\n\n\nSchedule of Events:10:30 am Registration opens at Saucony Creek Brewing Company + Gastropub.   \n\n\n\nPlease park in the parking lot to the left of the outdoor patio as you enter the parking lot (not in the front). Your registration packet will include the route instructions and publicity material for other upcoming events in the area. All participants must sign a liability release\, and non-members must fill out the Weekend and Trial Membership forms and Minor Waivers for anyone under 18.  You may only have two adults in the car.  A child under ten does not count against the adult limit.   \n\n\n\nYou may depart whenever you are ready and satisfied with your route instructions. If you would like to have breakfast\, the Airport Diner (15110 Kutztown Rd) is less than a mile away\, but allow extra time as they are typically very busy on Sunday mornings.        \n\n\n\nFinish: Saucony Creek Craft Brewing Company + Gastropub. The non-member fee includes a $ 15-weekend membership fee\, which includes a $15 coupon toward Annual Membership if redeemed within 60 days. \n\n\n\nCars must be in working order and be insured with an auto insurance policy with liability limits of not less than $20\,000 /$40\,000/$10\,000 (no exceptions). Each entrant must certify that the car entered is legally on the road and is either owned by the entrant or used by the entrant with the owner’s permission.  Any participant under 18 must have an SCCA Minor Waiver\, printed in color and signed by all parents/guardians. \n\n\n\nNon-members are encouraged to complete their Weekend Membership forms before the event and bring them along to expedite registration.

SUMMARY:PA: ChesMont Historical Trek
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Philadelphia Region presents the ChesMont Historical Trek on Saturday\, June 17th.  \n\n\n\nThe ChesMont Historical Trek is a tour of several Chester and Montgomery Counties sites. This is a NON-COMPETITIVE EVENT. That is\, there are no trophies to be won and no pressure\, just a leisurely drive through the countryside. You can spend as much or as little time as you want at any stop. Or come back another day with your instructions when you have more time. The nearby Valley Forge National Historical Park is the first site we’ll visit.  Several\, but not all\, other sites\, such as the Paoli Battlefield in Malvern\, will have a Revolutionary War connection.  \n\n\n\nOur route will cover 60-70 miles (depending on which optional sites you visit). The route is paved\, so there are no worries about dirt/rocks. \n\n\n\nStart: We’ll gather at Panera Bread in the Gateway Shopping Center at 10:00 AM and handle Registration outside. Your registration packet will include the route instructions and publicity material for other upcoming events in the area. All participants must sign a liability release\, and non-members must fill out the Weekend and Trial Membership forms and Minor Waivers for anyone under 18 (please call Clyde Heckler before the event for Minor requirements). You may have as many people in the car as there are seatbelts in the car. \n\n\n\nYou may depart whenever you are ready\, but we encourage you to grab a bite to eat/drink at Panera and review your route instructions.   \n\n\n\nFinish: The Schwenksville\, PA area\, where several restaurants are available for lunch and are listed in the route instructions.   \n\n\n\nQuestions about the event can be sent to the Rallymaster Clyde Heckler (or call him 609-923-6306). \n\n\n\nEvent Requirements\n\n\n\nThe cost is $20 per team if at least one person is an SCCA Member and $35 per team if there are no SCCA Members.
