SUMMARY:NJ: Second Hand Roads Divisional Course RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Join the SCCA Northern New Jersey Region on the 85-mile Second Hand Roads Divisional RoadRally with easy-to-follow route instructions. The event will start at Subaru World of Newton (NOTE: This is a new location for 2026). \nFor those looking to enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition their is a Regional Tour event for you. Those wishing to compete for SCCA National Course RoadRally Series points this Divisional event (26-RRDC-66587) will be just the ticket. \nThe Richta GPS Checkpoints system is free to use and will record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  You’ll keep this app open while you run the rally and it will use the GPS signal from your device to record your arrival time at each checkpoint. \nOnce you pass a checkpoint\, the app will automatically calculate your score for that checkpoint and announce it to you!  No more waiting until the end of the rally to see how you did.  You’ll see your score at each checkpoint as you go along. \nGeneral Instructions and details about the Richta GPS Checkpoints App will be emailed to all registered contestants two weeks prior to the event. \nDivisional Entry fee is $35/car. \nRegional Entry fee is $30/Car. \nAnother $20 for weekend membership paid to the National Office if no one on the team is an SCCA member. \nIn-person sign-in starts at 10:00 AM \nDrivers Meeting: 10:45 AM \nTime: First car out at 11:00 AM \nADDITIONAL DETAILS \nEVENT CLASSES \n\nREGIONAL\n\nSOP (Seat of the Pants) – No timing calculations may be performed\, except for comparing your actual time to the car zero time as shown in some route instructions.\nNovice – Same equipment restriction as SOP\, but in addition neither contestant may have competed in five or more TSD rallies.\nBeginner –   Same equipment restriction as SOP\, but in addition neither contestant may have competed in more than one TSD rally.Regional trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd per class.\n\n\n\n\nDIVISIONAL\n\nPer the SCCA RoadRally Rules – Equipped\, Limited\, GPS and Stock – Microsoft Word – RRRs Abridged- 2023 Dec 23 2022 (connectsites.net)\nDivisional Course Points will be based on the RRRs\nTrophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd per class. SUMMARY:NJ: Second Hand Roads Divisional and Regional Tour Rally
DESCRIPTION:Second Hand Roads is a 75-mile straight-forward Tour Rally with easy-to-follow instructions. The event will start at Subaru World of Hackettstown and end in Long Valley\, NJ. The rally is designed so that newcomers to the sport can easily complete the course\, with all turn instructions supported by official mileage and associated Car Zero ‘Key Times.’ \n\n\n\nParticipants will check in at Subaru World of Hackettstown at 10:00 AM and receive their Route Instructions\, which include turn-by-turn directions\, at 10:45 AM before setting out in their personal vehicles to drive the route. The rally will conclude at approximately 3:30 p.m. \n\n\n\nThis is a “Tour” rally\, and there are no traps or tricks—drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery\, and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up to monitor how well you follow the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams that best arrive at the checkpoints at the proper times. This rally is designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nA Divisional rally will be offered for those wishing to compete for SCCA National RoadRally Series points. SUMMARY:NJ: SCCA Northern New Jersey 32nd Teddy Bear Rally
DESCRIPTION:For the past 32 years\, SCCA Northern New Jersey Region has been hosting this annual event. Over $27\,500 in toys have been donated to the United States Marine Corp Reserve toy drive since the 1st Teddy Bear Rally in 1990. SCCA-NNJR’s Toys for Tots Roadrally is the longest continually run charity event conducted by SCCA. \n\n\n\nThis year’s event will be 55 miles and be a two-and-a-half-hour novice-orientated rally. It will utilize written instructions and photo clues to determine the trophy winners. \n\n\n\nThis is not a timed event. DESCRIPTION:Did you know that the mountains of the New Jersey Highlands used to be higher than the Himalayas? Have you ever wondered about the geological history of the beautiful state we are lucky enough to call home? The diverse natural beauty of the Highlands and the patterns of human settlement are determined by its geology\, whose beginnings were dramatic and violent and subsequently sculpted by 3 glaciations. All of the Highlands’ history is illustrated by features of the current landscape\, which we will interpret for you. \n\n\n\nJoin the New Jersey Highlands Coalition’s Spring Car Trek and learn about local geology\, all while experiencing the natural beauty of the Highlands firsthand. Participants will begin their trek at the High Marques dealership in Morristown and will wend their way through 65 miles* of New Jersey nature\, learning about the region’s geology! \n\n\n\nWe provide you with step-by-step directions so you don’t get lost. It’s not a race; you can drive the route at your own pace. There will be several engaging stops on this self-guided tour where you can jump out\, take a walk\, and snap a photo. So grab a friend\, buckle up\, and join us on March 27th at 10 am at High Marques Motor Cars for this exciting educational adventure! It’s gonna rock!
