SUMMARY:OK: NE Oklahoma Visite des Piste de Course Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The day after Veteran’s Day 2022\, Saturday\, November 12th\, the NEOkla Region Sports Car Club of America will present the Visites Des Piste de Course. This is an ‘Average Joe’ SCCA Social Road Rally that will tour Oklahoma’s former and current permanent road race circuits! \n\n\n\nBeginning at the Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza parking lot atop Crybaby Hill in Tulsa\, Oklahoma the route will cover Avery Drive (named after the Route 66 icon\, Cyrus Avery)\, most of the hilly\, winding Coyote Trail in west Tulsa County\, make a lap or two of the housing development that used to be the Warbonnet Raceway Park\, followed by a cruise through two 129-year-old towns in south Pawnee County. The rally will end at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit.  \n\n\n\nOnce in the facility\, participants can join in on Hallett’s Veterans Celebration Day where there will be a car show\, food trucks\, the Finish Line indoor cafe will be open and parade laps around the 1.8 mile circuit will be offered at lunch time. SUMMARY:OK: NEOkla 2018 Road Rally School & Eagle Eye Rally
DESCRIPTION:The NEOKLA Region of the SCCA will present a Road Rally School and the Eagle Eye Rally on Saturday\, February 3rd.\nCome join NEOKLA for a Saturday afternoon Road Rally school followed by a short ROAD RALLY to put your newly acquired knowledge to the test!!  The class is FREE\, and it’s only $5 per car to enter the Road Rally that follows! \nA Road Rally is NOT a RACE\, but an automotive competition in which driving skill\, timing abilities and your powers of observation can make your TEAM a WINNER! \nEach TEAM is made up of two people.   Usually\, one member is the DRIVER and the other member is the NAVIGATOR. Their challenge is to cover a prescribed course\, which is described by a set of written instructions\, at the LEGAL speeds prescribed in the written instructions. Any street-legal car or truck may be entered. \nEntrants will have TWO CLASSES to choose from to enter. STOCK CLASS is for those who wish to run the traditional DRIVER/NAVIGATOR team in which the DRIVER only drives and the NAVIGATOR only navigates. UNLIMITED CLASS is for those who wish to ‘swap seats’ at the prescribed points during the event. There will be a LIMIT of TWENTY (20) cars in the field. \nWe will assemble for the Rally School class at noon. The class will cover the Road Rally forms\, the conventions or rules that most rallies follow and a glossary of the nationally recognized terms. There will be plenty of time to order food and/or drinks during the class/Q&A. The Eagle Eye Rally kicking off some time after 2:30PM and will take just over an hour to complete.
