SUMMARY:WI: Roads Scamper National Tour RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Milwaukee Region presents the Roads Scamper National Tour RoadRally\, on Sunday\, June 6\, 2021. Join your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180-mile time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads north of Madison\, Wisconsin. \n\n\n\nThis rally will use the Richta GPS checkpoint app. Contestants will download the app to their smartphones in advance of the rally. During the rally\, this app will use the GPS signals and automatically record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then display your score to you!! No more waiting until the rally is over to find out how you did. A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide you with many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations. Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180-mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone to run this event. If you’re planning to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device. The Richta GPS checkpoint app needs to be the only app running on your phone during the rally; you can download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. \n\n\n\nThis is a tour-type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. Rallymaster Jim Crittenden encourages you to register straight-away\, as there is a twenty-five car limit on this rally\, and it is expected to sell out!  \n\n\n\nThere is also a Milwaukee Region event on Saturday\, June 5th\, called the Roads Scholar National Course. \n\n\n\nHeadquarters Hotel:  Should you decide to come in the evening before\, the Country Inn and Suites\, has a block of rooms (with two queen beds) reserved for contestants at a special rate of $79/night plus tax\, but only until May 13th. This includes a hot breakfast buffet. Ask for “SCCA Car Rally” to get this rate! \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in – 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM \n\n\n\nFirst Car Off – 8:31 AM  Saturday \n\n\n\nFirst Car Finished – Approx 3:45 pm \n\n\n\nCost: $75/car for SCCA Members\,  $90/car if neither contestant is an SCCA member. Two people per car required. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. This year’s event will use both Numbered and Lettered Route Instructions. There will be a variable Main Road rule. Experienced rallyists will find this rally to be one of the easier National Course rallies of the year. However\, it is not recommended for people who have never rallied before. SUMMARY:WI: Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this five hour\, 110-mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nStart and finish location:  Nagawaukee Shopping Center\, just north of I-94 at the HWY 83 exit\, Delafield. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens at 9:00 AM. The first car departs at 11:01 AM\, and we anticipate the first car finished at approximately 4:15 PM. \n\n\n\nCost:  $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. General Instructions that explain more details about how the rally works will be emailed to all registered contestants 2 weeks prior to the event. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT:  This event uses automatic scoring and GPS checkpoints. You will be timed automatically as your car passes the checkpoint location and your score will be immediately displayed. Contestants need to use a smartphone during the rally\, running the Richta competitor app. Please download the app from the Google Playstore (Android) or Apple Store (Apple).  Please read the Appendix of the General Instructions for further details. \n\n\n\nSound interesting?
