DESCRIPTION:Dogwood Daze II is a time speed distance rally designed specifically for beginners but fun for non-beginners too. This Tour-style rally uses the Competitor – Richta GPS Competitor App for timing. SUMMARY:IN: Putnam Purple Cow Precision RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Putnam Purple Cow Precision is a Tour RoadRally designed to be run by individuals attending the SCCA Time Trial event at Putnam Park Road Course the weekend of July 1-2\, 2023. While the goal on track is to go fast\, the goal of a RoadRally is to drive with precision and observation. The course will take participants into Cloverdale and back to Putnam Park while highlighting some of the amenities and unusual sites in the area. The entire course can be driven in less than an hour.  \n\n\n\nThe rally uses Richta GPS Checkpoints\, and participants may run it any time at their convenience from registration on Saturday until mid-afternoon on Sunday\,  If you are joining us for pizza in Cloverdale on Saturday evening\, you can drive the first part of the rally from Putnam Park to Cloverdale on the way and then finish the return trip whenever you would like. \n\n\n\nThe cost of the RoadRally is $25 per car for members. If you are not an SCCA Member but are running the Time Trial Event the same weekend\, then your weekend membership also covers this event. If you are not an SCCA member and have not purchased a weekend membership covering July 1-2\, you must pay a $ 15 Weekend Membership fee at event check-in. \n\n\n\nTo make things interesting\, live scoring for the RoadRally may be viewed with the Richta GPS Competitor system all weekend. If you run the rally and think you could do better\, we will assign you a new car number for a $10 donation to the rally pot\, and you can rerun the event. The event winners will get 50% of the rally pot\, 2nd place will get 30%\, and 3rd place will receive 20%. \n\n\n\nThe only class for this event is Stock. You must use your car’s odometer. A simple calculation device is permitted. The rally is designed so that you can get a good score just by following the directions and maintaining the correct speed between checkpoints. It is designed for those who have not rallied before but is also challenging for experienced rallyists. DESCRIPTION:Our mission\, on the Holiday Shopping Shuffle GTA Road Rally\, is to gather food for a holiday meal and be back at the time that the Rallymaster says we should be back. The catch is that each item must come from a different town. To make it a little easier\, the Rallymaster gives us tasks to complete along the way that can extend the time when we have to be back.  \n\n\n\nThis is a fun event and to make it even better\, the registration fee is waived if you bring a new\, unwrapped toy to donate. (Non-members will still need to pay the $10 weekend membership fee for insurance purposes.) Please remember to bring a little bit of money to purchase food items. All food items will be donated to a local food pantry after the rally.

SUMMARY:IN: Indianapolis Region Hoosier Byways: The Bridges of Putnam County
DESCRIPTION:The Bridges of Putnam County is a Divisional Tour Rally that is part of the SCCA Great Lakes Divisional Championship. It is a challenging Tour rally using GPS checkpoints. The route includes many well-groomed\, yet curvy\, gravel roads and crosses several covered bridges in Putnam County. Although designed to be challenging for Divisional competitors\, the rally can be run by anyone who would like a full afternoon of road rallying with some spectacular scenery. The route is well defined and the challenge is to stay on time. \n\n\n\nThe route includes a tire warm-up followed by a 12+ miles odometer check that contains paved and gravel roads. There is no headquarter hotel for this event. Should you would like overnight accommodations\, the rally committee suggests using a hotel near State Rd. 267 and I-70 (exit 66). SUMMARY:IN: Main Road TSD Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:This is a Time Speed Distance (TSD) Course Rally. It will require the use of some logic and observational skills to follow the correct route. Because each leg of the rally will have an On Course route and an Off Course route\, you will need to use the Main Road Determinants given in the General Instructions to know which way the Main Road goes at each intersection. You should only execute an instruction from your route instructions if it takes you off of the Main Road.  \n\n\n\nThe rally is set up so that even if you take the Off Course route\, you will arrive at the On Course control\, just at the incorrect time. SUMMARY:IN: Monte ReDeux RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Indianapolis Region heads out on the Monte ReDeux Road Rally\, on Saturday\, May 1st.  \n\n\n\nThe Monte ReDeux is a time-speed-distance rally designed specifically for beginners but fun for non-beginners as well. This is a Monte Carlo Tour-style rally that uses the Richta App for timing. At each restart point\, you will be given the mileage from the restart point to the subsequent checkpoint\, and the exact time in minutes and seconds that you should take to get there.  At each restart point\, you will re-zero your trip odometer and leave at the beginning of the next minute\, as observed on the Richta App. After you leave the restart point\, the App will tell you what minute you started on. Simply add the leg time given in your route instructions to that restart time\, and you will know the exact time you need to arrive at the next control. It is quite possible for Novices to score very near zero on controls. And if you just want a nice drive in the country that ends with food and comradeship\, the event will end at Squealer’s BBQ in Mooresville. \n\n\n\n1:00-1:30 P.M   Registration (waivers and weekend member forms will be in registration packets) \n\n\n\n1:45 P.M.  Mandatory Safety Meeting (call in from your car) \n\n\n\n2:00 P.M + Car Number   Start of Rally \n\n\n\n4:00 P.M + Car Number   Should arrive at end point  \n\n\n\nItems Needed: \n\n\n\nPen/pencil/highlighterClipboardOdometer/GPS or some other way to calculate your mileageCalculator might be helpful
