SUMMARY:NY: The Long Way Home RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:It is again time to enjoy the winter roads of the Southern Tier with the Finger Lakes Region’s 2025 Winter Rally Series. The first rally of the SCCA Finger Lakes Region Series consists of approximately 180 competitive miles using mostly unpaved roads in the New York Southern Tier. \n\n\n\nEntry fees are $45 per car for SCCA Members + $15 should you need a Weekend Membership if one team member in the car is not an SCCA member. There is a 35-car limit\, so pre-registration is recommended. Series classes are Equipped\, Limited\, Stock\, and Novice. \n\n\n\nSnow tires are recommended (all-season tires may limit your speed group eligibility). A tow rope/strap and 90 minutes of flares or one DOT triangle are required to compete. \n\n\n\nStart/Finish location: Wadsworth Grill\, 3901 Main Street\, Wadsworth\, NY\, on Route 36 South of Route 63. Registration: msreg.com/longway2025 \n\n\n\nEvent Day: Check-in is from 2:30 to 3:30 PM\, the Driver’s Meeting is at 3:45 PM\, the First car starts at 4:01 PM\, and the First car finishes at about 10:30 PM.

SUMMARY:NY: Do It Again RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Finger Lakes Region invites you to join them for a little Spring Rally fun\, with its Do It Again RoadRally. It is a Social Rally and not apart of any series or serious points race. \n\n\n\nHere are the details: \n\n\n\n\nYou follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit.\n\n\n\nAs you follow the route\, you will be timed at locations unknown to you. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them.)\n\n\n\nThe course is approximately 31 miles and should take about 56 minutes to complete.\n\n\n\nTeams then repeat the course route at 2:00+car #.\n\n\n\nFor the second time around the route\, checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again. The score will be how close the minute and hundredths is to the time you passed on the first loop (if you did it the first time\, you should be able to do it a second time\, right?)\n\n\n\nIf you take a TA on the second passage\, text it to the phone number on the routes with a mileage where it occurred. Once a TA is taken\, the TA time applies for the rest of the second loop.\n\n\n\nCars will have a window chalk or magnetic number on each side of the car so the checkpoint worker can identify the car as it passes.\n\n\n\nRoutes would be handed out to the teams at Registration\, at the event.\n\n\n\nThere will be a brief Driver’s meeting at 12:45\, before the event.\n\n\n\nThe results will be calculated after the event and also emailed to all competitors in case you have to leave.\,\n\n\n\nWe will do results at the finish as quickly as we can so we can share rally stories and enjoy some after event camaraderie.\n\n\n\n\nClasses:    Experienced (if any team member has done more than 5 rallies)    Novice (new to rally where neither team member has done more than 5 rallies) \n\n\n\nRegistration is online with MotorsportReg and you can click here for more information\, too. SUMMARY:NY: Slip Sliding Away Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the final event of the Finger Lakes Region SCCA Winter Rally Series\, Slip Sliding Fever 2023 — on Saturday the 4th of March\, 2023. In keeping with the Winter Rally Series format\, this is an evening TSD rally run at speeds within the local speed limits. This event will run about 200 totalmiles of paved\, dirt\, muddy and possibly(?) snowy roads. \n\n\n\nAt least two people make up a rally team—a Driver and a Navigator. Route instructions are provided in Tulip diagram format (line drawings of each intersection) with mileages provided. Teams should have a wrist or stopwatch\, a calculator\, flashlight\, and a pen. A novice school will be available prior to the drivers meeting to help first-timers out. \n\n\n\nAll cars are required to have all-season tires in good condition\, but are strongly encouraged to have snow tires. All teams and cars are also required to have a valid driver’s license\, a current inspection sticker\, proof of insurance\, a tow-rope\, and flares or a reflective triangle.

SUMMARY:NY: SCCA Finger Lakes Region Fall Fling Rally
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our annual Fall Fling Road Rally\, hosted by the Finger Lakes Region SCCA. This Time / Speed / Distance (TSD) rally will serve as a great introduction to the sport\, as well as provide veteran rallyists a chance to dust off their skills in advance of our Winter Series starting in December. This is a ±70-mile tour-style rally on mostly paved roads (some gravel) with amazing scenery! \n\n\n\nFor this event\, we will be running two classes: Experienced and Novice\, and one speed group: C-Speed (36 mph).
