DESCRIPTION:Ghouls Gambol Rally\, celebrating its 56th anniversary\, will run on Saturday\, October 29. Rallymasters Monte and Victoria Saager are planning a ghoulish affair. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll howl at the moon. Well\, maybe not that last part since it will be daylight. \n\n\n\n\n\nCascade Sports Car Club proudly presents the Halloween tradition. Ghouls Gambol is a fun drive on scenic country roads through the autumn-colored countryside and includes both tricks and treats. Who says you don’t have a ghost of a chance? Results will be emailed after all cars finish the course. \n\n\n\nEntry fees as $20 for CSCC members and $30 for our fellow rally enthusiasts. \n\n\n\nTo say more now would be a spoiler. An optional decorated car show will start half an hour before the first car is due out. DESCRIPTION:Cascade Sports Car Club’s 56th Mountains to the Sea Road Rally offers an easy-to-follow scenic drive on paved\, less-traveled roads starting in northwest Portland and ending at Rockaway Beach.  \n\n\n\nEntry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured driver\, a navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app (the app is free). \n\n\n\nAll events in the 2021 rally season are conducted in compliance with the Cascade Geargrinders Coronavirus Message. \n\n\n\nThe first car starts at 10:01 a.m. and should finish about 5 p.m. Weather and COVID permitting\, we hope to have a beach fire. Bring your beach blanket and a piece of firewood if you are inclined. Optional dinner boxes can be ordered ahead. Contact the Silver Sands Motel for lodging.  \n\n\n\nMore information about the rally can be found here. Registration for the “Rock(away) Lobster” Mountains to the Sea Rally closes at midnight on September 15th.

Due to the continuing pandemic\, the Saturday Series Rally will be Cascade’s tenth TSsD (Time Speed social Distance) road rally conducted in compliance with the Cascade Geargrinders Coronavirus Message. \n\n\n\nAfter completing online registration by the deadline of midnight\, July 14th\, you will receive an email providing further instructions\, including your car number assignment\, instructions for registering your car number in the Competitor Richta app\, and a link to e-sign the required event insurance waiver. Once you’ve completed these check-in steps\, we’ll email the route instructions on Friday. You’ll need to print them. Friday evening\, there will be a Q & A Zoom meeting. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday morning\, leave the start by your assigned out time. Follow the route instructions to the end. DESCRIPTION:Cascade Sports Car Club’s Saturday Road Rally Series offers beginner-friendly time-speed-distance road rallies\, lasting from three to four hours\, starting and ending in the Portland area. \n\n\n\nThe June 12th road rally begins at Milwaukie Lowe’s and ends at the Helvetia Tavern near Hillsboro. Torm Kelsey-Green and Kasey Klaus are your Rallymasters. \n\n\n\nEntry fee: $20 per car for CSCC members (either Driver or Navigator is a CSCC member)$30 per car for non-members   \n\n\n\nSchedule: June 12thFirst car out: 10:01 am First car arrives at the finish (approx.): 1:30 pm Results emailed: after all cars finish  Entry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured driver\, a navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app. \n\n\n\nDay-of-event on-site registration will not be available. Due to the continuing pandemic\, the Saturday Series Rally will be Cascade’s tenth TSsD (Time Speed social Distance) road rally conducted in compliance with the Cascade Geargrinders Coronavirus Message. \n\n\n\nAfter completing online registration by the deadline of June 9th\, you will receive an email providing further instructions\, including your car number assignment\, instructions for registering your car number in the Competitor Richta app\, and a link to e-sign the required event insurance waiver. Once you’ve completed these check-in steps\, we’ll email the route instructions on Friday. You’ll need to print them. Friday evening\, there will be a Q & A Zoom meeting. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday morning\, leave the start by your assigned out time. Follow the route instructions to the end. The Rallymasters will email the results after all teams have completed the course. Saturday evening\, there will be a rally debrief Zoom meeting.

DESCRIPTION:Happy Halloween and Welcome to Ghouls GambolFor over 50 years ghosts\, goblins\, spooks\, spirits\, the dead\, the undead\, and even the mostly dead have returned to haunt the Cascade Sports Car Club’s Halloween road rally. In years past rally teams have had to navigate through cemetaries to find hidden clues\, reach into a screaming victim’s chest\, or worse. There have been haunted locations – like the legendary barn on Pumpkin Ridge or the slaughter house. The slaughter house…they say if you listen on a cold\, crisp October night you can still hear the screams. \nThis year the rally explores Washington County’s farmland and autumn colors. Roads are generally paved with less than 3 miles of unpaved roads. Speeds are reasonable\, a rally is not a race. The rally includes a stop at Lakeview Farms*.  Take the train through Halloween tunnels\, see what lurks beneath the surface when riding the sternwheeler over the lake\, explore the hay maze\, pick up a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch\, and visit the fall harvest gift shop. Lots to do and see at Lakeview Farms. But keep track of the time – you’re still on a road rally! \nThe rally will include both tricks and treats – standard CSCC rally rules apply. And yes\, the event is suitable for beginners\, er\, victims. \nPrizes for first through third in rally classes plus best costume(s) and best decorated vehicle.\nClasses include: Unlimited\, SOP and Nervous. \nCost: $25 per car ($20 for CSCC members) \n* LakeView Farms activity costs not included \n#comeroadrally \nSubmitted by Victoria Saager
