DESCRIPTION:The Road Rally program of the  Cascade Sports Car Club\, also known as Cascade Geargrinders\, offers beginner-friendly time-speed-distance road rallies that last three to four hours\, starting and ending in the Portland area. The motorsport of Road Rally is a game you play while going for a drive in the country. Play the game that takes you places.\n\nThe June 7 rally is the third of six in the Cascade Geargrinders 2025 Saturday Road Rally Series. Teams that run three or more of the six rallies are eligible for Series Awards. Please take a look at our 2025 Geargrinder Season Flyer.\n\nEntry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured Driver\, a Navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Richta GPS Checkpoints app\, available for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.\n\nThere is no on-site registration; more information and online registration can be found at MotorsportReg.com. There will be a Zoom Q&A Meeting on June 6\, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. All communication about the Saturday Series is conducted via email. DESCRIPTION:Rallymasters Torm Kelsey-Green and Kasey Klaus are planning a beautiful tour-style route starting in Milwaukie\, traveling down the valley and over the Coast Range to Seaside\, for the Cascade Sports Car Club’s 59th Mountains to the Sea Road Rally.  \n\n\n\nThis all-day time-speed-distance road rally includes GPS-timed checkpoints and time-of-day restarts using the Competitor—Richta GPS Checkpoint app. Most route instructions are accompanied by official mileage. Checkpoints are identified in the route instructions. \n\n\n\nResults will be announced and trophies awarded to top finishers at Mo’s Seaside on the Prom turnaround soon after all the teams finish the rally. After the awards presentation\, share rally stories while you enjoy s’mores around the beach fire\, weather permitting.  \n\n\n\nPlan to stay overnight because\, wait! There’s more! A block of rooms is available for rally teams at the Hi-Tide Oceanfront Inn. After spending the evening on the beach\, warm up in the Inn’s heated pool or hot tub. Then get a good night’s sleep\, because there’s more rally on Sunday.  \n\n\n\nRise and shine\, grab some complimentary breakfast\, then gear up for a second rally. DESCRIPTION:Rallymasters Monte and Victoria Saager have laid out a fun cruise in Clark County’s scenic rallyland\, for their Rally by the Numbers Rally. The rally starts in northwest Portland and ends in Brush Prairie\, Washington. The route is about 90 miles long and takes a bit over three hours to complete. It has a little rally puzzle fun\, just enough to tingle your rally brain. The drive is exhilarating\, the puzzles are fun to solve\, and the scenery is spectacular. \n\n\n\nEntry is open to any type of street-legal car. You don’t have to be a club member to enter. And no prior rally experience is needed. You need to print them. On Friday at 7 pm attend a Zoom Q&A meeting. Take advantage of the Q&A meeting to ask questions. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday morning\, leave the start by your assigned out time. Follow the route instructions to the end. Soon after all teams finish the rally\, winners will be announced\, and prizes will be awarded at the ending location. DESCRIPTION:The Annual Cascade Sports Car Club Road Rally School and Rally. \n\n\n\nThe Cascade Sports Car Club (CSCC) Road Rally School will be a Zoom Class on Friday evening\, February 17th. The school will review the Generals for the February 18th Road Rally and allow teams to ask their rally questions; teams will be provided the link after Registration.  \n\n\n\nThere is no onsite Registration\, and all teams must register on MotorsportReg and sign the e-Waivers. All official communication for the CSCC rally is via email.  \n\n\n\nEntry fee is $20 per car for Cascade members and $30 per car for non-members. The entry fee includes the virtual rally school on February 17 and the practice road rally on 18th.Register online by midnight Wednesday\, Feb. 15:  http://msreg.com/CSCCRallySchool23 \n\n\n\nTeams will be able to gather after the event at the ending restaurant\, standings will be emailed in the afternoon\, and there will be a Zoom session Saturday evening to talk about the rally with the Rallymasters.

DESCRIPTION:Ghouls Gambol Rally\, celebrating its 56th anniversary\, will run on Saturday\, October 29. Rallymasters Monte and Victoria Saager are planning a ghoulish affair. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll howl at the moon. Well\, maybe not that last part since it will be daylight. \n\n\n\n\n\nCascade Sports Car Club proudly presents the Halloween tradition. Ghouls Gambol is a fun drive on scenic country roads through the autumn-colored countryside and includes both tricks and treats. Who says you don’t have a ghost of a chance? Results will be emailed after all cars finish the course. \n\n\n\nEntry fees as $20 for CSCC members and $30 for our fellow rally enthusiasts. \n\n\n\nTo say more now would be a spoiler. An optional decorated car show will start half an hour before the first car is due out. DESCRIPTION:Cascade Sports Car Club’s 56th Mountains to the Sea Road Rally offers an easy-to-follow scenic drive on paved\, less-traveled roads starting in northwest Portland and ending at Rockaway Beach.  \n\n\n\nEntry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured driver\, a navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app (the app is free). \n\n\n\nAll events in the 2021 rally season are conducted in compliance with the Cascade Geargrinders Coronavirus Message. \n\n\n\nThe first car starts at 10:01 a.m. and should finish about 5 p.m. Weather and COVID permitting\, we hope to have a beach fire. Bring your beach blanket and a piece of firewood if you are inclined. Optional dinner boxes can be ordered ahead. Contact the Silver Sands Motel for lodging.  \n\n\n\nMore information about the rally can be found here. Registration for the “Rock(away) Lobster” Mountains to the Sea Rally closes at midnight on September 15th.

DESCRIPTION:Happy Halloween and Welcome to Ghouls GambolFor over 50 years ghosts\, goblins\, spooks\, spirits\, the dead\, the undead\, and even the mostly dead have returned to haunt the Cascade Sports Car Club’s Halloween road rally. In years past rally teams have had to navigate through cemetaries to find hidden clues\, reach into a screaming victim’s chest\, or worse. There have been haunted locations – like the legendary barn on Pumpkin Ridge or the slaughter house. The slaughter house…they say if you listen on a cold\, crisp October night you can still hear the screams. \nThis year the rally explores Washington County’s farmland and autumn colors. Roads are generally paved with less than 3 miles of unpaved roads. Speeds are reasonable\, a rally is not a race. The rally includes a stop at Lakeview Farms*.  Take the train through Halloween tunnels\, see what lurks beneath the surface when riding the sternwheeler over the lake\, explore the hay maze\, pick up a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch\, and visit the fall harvest gift shop. Lots to do and see at Lakeview Farms. But keep track of the time – you’re still on a road rally! \nThe rally will include both tricks and treats – standard CSCC rally rules apply.
