After an absence of two years because of the pandemic, the St. Louis Region’s RoadRally program is back in business with a Region social event May 15 and the return of its Gateway National RoadRally Weekend Sept. 2–4 (Labor Day weekend).
Designed to reintroduce the sport, Sunday Drive #1 is a fun tour of about 40 miles over country roads that takes participants from a start at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, Ill., to Schlafly’s Highland Square pub/restaurant in Highland, Ill. (Located on Highland’s historic—and charming—town square, Schlafly’s Highland Square is the newest of the St. Louis brewing company’s eating and drinking establishments.)
Also having its starting point in Collinsville, the Region’s 2022 Gateway National RoadRally Weekend will offer Regional and National teams three distinct championship road rallies: the Tulips by Night Divisional Tour Rally Sept. 2, the Kaskaskia Trails National Tour Rally Sept. 3, and The Avenue of the Saints Divisional GTA Rally Sept. 4. All three are part of the SCCA’s 2022 National RoadRally Championship Series.
