We woke to updates showing these times of delivery:

0544 AM —
Car 8 Brycen/Bretton Setzepfandt suffered misfires on Friday POR that were bad enough to justify pulling out and cleaning the spark plugs on a transit. The misfire improved but didn’t go away. The team is installing a new set of spark plugs for Saturday but Brycen admits the PCV system is suspected of causing some fouling. The team is currently leading G class.

0743 AM —
We spent the morning diagnosing Pertronix then gave up and reinstalled the factory points ignition. Parts stores dictated some creative installation, but the Corvair fired up just minutes before the driver meeting.

After helping with the WRX until 3am and getting out the door early this morning to collect the Vair, I’m running on about 3 hours sleep.

1122 AM —
Corvair made it through four stages today before the ignition problems caught back up with us. Car dead on the side of the road. We will have to collect it again.
