Expect a low-key Touring road rally of about 75 miles with a number of checkpoints along the way. “Continuing Education” is a fun social event and exercise in simple route-following during which you will be timed at several locations along the rally route. Expect a rally of about 2-1/2 hours duration that both starts and ends at the Sunset Overlook wine bar and restaurant on Bluff Road in Columbia\, Ill. New to rallying\, or an occasional competitor? We believe you also will find the March Hare’s route an enjoyable Saturday-afternoon adventure. \nStart and finish: Sunset Overlook \nSize of the field: We are limiting the field to 25 teams. \nRegistration: Pre-event registration only via the registration link below. Entries are on a first-come basis. DESCRIPTION:Join the Santa Monica Sports Car Club\, an affiliate of the Sports Car Club of AmericaCal Club Region on Saturday\, September 12th in Moorpark\, for the North by Northwest Road Rally\, a Navigational Tour event.  Entry is limited to 35 cars\, and the event will run – rain or shine! \nThe object of a navigational rally is to follow the rally course at the assigned (legal) speeds and to arrive at each checkpoint on time; not early\, not late. Your score on each leg of the rally is based on how early or late you arrive at each checkpoint. \nCompetitors can check-in and receive their Route Instructions starting at 8:30 AM\, Competitor Meeting 9:30 AM\, with the First Car out at 10:01 AM. The rally will cover approximately 120 miles and 4 hours on fun-to-drive\, scenic roads following legal speed limits.  All road are paved and public. The rally will end at Bandits Grill and Bar in Thousand Oaks. \nThe entry fee is $35 per car. The Driver or Navigator must be an SCCA member\, however Weekend Memberships can be purchased for $20 which can be credited towards a full membership. DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Cascade Classic Rally & Tour\, September 11-13\, will be located on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula this year. \nThe Ocean Star Inn in Sequim will serve as our host hotel. Group rate for a king single is $166\, a double queen rate is $176. This includes breakfast. For reservations mention the CCR&T. \nOur rally/tour route will take us along the Strait and into the Olympic foothills on Saturday\, 9/12\, and back to Sequim. Plenty of enjoyable and scenic roads will be used. On Sunday\, 9/13\, we will visit local car collections and points of interest on the event tour. We will again have two rally classes followed by the tour cars on Saturday. The Classic Class will be for sporting motorcars 3 years and older while the Contempory Class will be for those younger than go years. \nThe 2026 CCR&T registration form is available at collegeplan.org/rally. Event costs will remain the same as in 2025. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join the SCCA Detroit Region for two 230-mile brisk time-speed-distance\, National Tour RoadRally(s) in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula with a separate sanction for each day. Many historic\, challenging\, and fun roads from the 1960’s and early 70’s Press On Regardless® aka POR will be used. The Richta GPS Checkpoint app will be used for timing. During the rally\, when each car reaches a checkpoint\, the contestant’s device will signal a checkpoint has been reached. The device will then display your time and score (early or late). Your total score for the rally to that point will also be displayed.The cumulative score from both days will determine the overall winner of the 2026 POR. You can expect around 100 checkpoints each day. \nFirst run in 1949\, POR is the oldest continuously run rally in North America. These straightforward (absolutely no traps) Tour RoadRally(s) will use a mix of unpaved (80%) and paved (20%) roads varying from smooth fast gravel roads to tight and technical single lane roads. While not a car breaker\, vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended. Liberal use of free zones and pauses help you navigate through any rough areas on the route. \nPre-registration is required and closes on Tuesday September 8 at 9:00 PM EST. \n\n30 car limit for each day.\nFriday Press On Regardless\, September 11\, 2026: SCCA member\, $100 per car.\nSaturday Press On Regardless\, September 12\, 2026: SCCA member\, $110 per car.\nNon-members must purchase a Weekend Membership. SUMMARY:FL: Around Again Road Rally\, Macclenny
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our latest road rally for the 2026 Buccaneer Region SCCA Road Rally Championship! So far in our series\, the rally route instructions have contained street names\, increment mileage\, and CASTs for every instruction and have been classified as a Tour-style rally. This time we’re changing it up and introducing participants to the concepts of Main Road (a.k.a. Principal Road) style instructions with a Course-style TSD (Time-Speed-Distance). Instead of having street names and speeds for every turn\, you’ll have instructions that will read “Left at 4th opportunity.” For more information on main road rallies and what they entail\, review Article 22 and Article 23 of the 2026 SCCA NRRRs: https://www.scca.com/downloads/78459-2026-scca-roadrally-rulebook/download. \nEach car will drive on paved public roads using a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Richta GPS Checkpoints Road Rally mobile application. Participants will be scored based on their arrival time at each of the defined checkpoints. We will start at Burger King\, where cars will depart 1 minute apart. The finish will be Sixth Street Steakhouse\, also in Macclenny\, where scoring\, awards\, and lunch will be available (you are responsible for purchasing your own food\, we encourage everyone to eat and support the location). \nAny car is allowed\, such that it meets all Florida state laws and is insured to meet the state’s minimum requirements. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required at on-site registration. Each car is allowed as many people as there are seatbelts in the vehicle\, but each car is required to have at least 2 people\, a driver and a navigator. Drivers without a navigator will not be allowed to participate. There will be a starting location\, five (5) unmanned checkpoints\, followed by a sixth checkpoint at the finishing location. Team numbers will be assigned but the starting order will be determined at random. \nRegistration Fee: $25 for SCCA members\, $50 for non-SCCA members (includes required Weekend Membership). Classes will be Stock\, Limited\, and SOP. DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Southern Indiana Region hosts the 4th Championship Event in their 7-event Series\, on Sunday\, August 2nd\, with Tucker’s Trek Road Rally\, with Team Lehrschall as Rallymasters. \nThe starting point is Penn Station Subs\, with check-in at 12:30 PM\, followed by an Entrant meeting at 1:00P-ish. DESCRIPTION:Tulips by Night 2026 is an evening Monte-Carlo-style Touring RoadRally and social event of about 60 miles\, with the SCCA St. Louis Region. Rallymaster Jim Heine designed the event with the new/occasional rally team in mind. Expect paved rural Madison County\, Ill.\, roads\, easy-to-follow tulip diagrams for route instructions\, and checkpoint locations identified by official mileages and arrival times. Timing will be in minutes and seconds\, with checkpoint arrival times calculated to whole minutes. After the rally\, stick around to enjoy conversation and hospitality at our finish location. \nStart: Troy Park & Ride \nFinish: Vitale’s Hideaway on historic Route 66 (today\, Illinois 4) outside Staunton\, Ill. Vitale’s Hideaway has been a stop at Route 66 and the “Worden Y” since Route 66 was established in the 1920s. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Tour de Force Rally\, a Texas Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Social Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) tour rally over scenic paved backroads of Somervell County and Hood County. The rally starts and ends at Motorsport Ranch (MSR)\, in Cresson\, Texas. All entrants are welcome. No prior rally experience is necessary. \nA precision driving event at fun speeds. This is not a speed or racing contest. Course following is easy with GPS mileages on every turn; there are no tricks or traps on the course. We assign speeds to drive. Your goal is to follow the rally route using written route instructions and arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the correct time.  We will score you on how close to the perfect time you arrive.  Get one point for each second early or late; low score wins. No calculations necessary. \nWe will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. This app will monitor your car’s position during the rally and will record the precise time that you pass each checkpoint on the rally.  Once you have passed a checkpoint\, the app will calculate your score for that leg and announce it to you.  Scores are automatically reported to the Rallymaster.  No score sheet to fill out. We will send you information on the app after you pre-register. There are 37 timing checkpoints in about 70 miles of rally route. \nWe plan to conduct a virtual Rally School via Zoom (currently scheduled for March 29th) to help prepare for the rally (for details and to pre-register for the School\, go to https://msreg.com/TFR26RSmsr ) . Preregistration is required; there is no onsite registration. Drivers register first and then the Navigator. Please\, do not bring someone who is not registered. Guests should use the SpeedWaiver process during registration.\n\nThe route is all paved. Nearly all of it nicely paved. There’s spot about 40 feet long of “tough winter” and it’s not a problem.\n\nThose with good memories may remember last year’s Scrambled Legs and this second helping is a different take on much of that route.  Oh sure\, there’s a visit to Buente Road\, a touch of Trapp Road\, a little counting of Opps at Ts\, some loops\, and one other little thing to see who will drop shell into their omelet.\n\nAdjustments have been made for the 90s that aren’t “CASTable.”\n\nWith breaks & no mistakes\, the route runs about 97 miles and will take about 3.25 hours to get to Los Bravos on Evansville’s west side.\n\nJoin us and see if\, as a friend put it\, if this rally is all it’s cracked up to be.\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The Winter Challenge Rally\, by Rallymaster John Buffum\, will take place February 28th and end in the early morning hours of March 1st. The rally will generally follow the NER (New England Region) Road Rally Regulations (RRR)\, which can be viewed at (NER.ORG). We have condensed the RRR’s and these ‘Generals’ should be all you need to follow the correct course. Interested teams can find more information at winterchaallengerally.com. \nRally Philosophy: \nWINTER CHALLENGE RALLY (WC) is not a ‘trap rally; it has a couple of thinking situations in Section 1) – don’t overthink every NRI. There will be 15-20 Regularity Sections (RS) throughout the day (night).  The controls at the start of Regularity Sections are called CZT’s (Car Zero Time); you should self-start (at 1 minute intervals) at your start time. No penalties will accrue at these controls. Within the RS’s\, starting at the CZT\, there will be timed portions (Legs). \nYou will be penalized for every SECOND you arrive early or late at timing control points in these Legs. There may be multiple controls in each timed portion (leg). After the last timing CP or the notation “End Regularity timing” (whichever comes first)\, there are no controls and competitors can travel at their own pace. Driving normally\, you should get to the start of the next RS 2 minutes before your RESTART time.  The Route Instructions will show the RESTART time for Car 0. Your Richta phone will show your ideal RESTART time.

SUMMARY:WI: Spring Scamper Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Milwaukee Region is delighted to announce that the Spring Scamper car rally is scheduled for Sunday\, July 27\, 2025. This 130-mile rally will start and finish in Verona\, Wisconsin\, 10 miles southwest of Madison\, and will explore the scenic country roads northwest of Madison.\n\n   This year’s event will follow a brand-new route\, crossing the Wisconsin River to explore the great roads in Sauk County\, Wisconsin.\n\n   Spring Scamper is a charity fundraiser for the Dane County Humane Society. This great organization provides care and finds “furever” homes for thousands of dogs\, cats\, and other animals every year. Your rally entry will help support their work.\n\n   The entry fee is $20 per person\, and a minimum of two people are required per car. Any type of street-legal vehicle is permitted\, and you do not have to be a member of the Sports Car Club of America. Registration is now open at msreg.com/SpringScamper2025.  There is a 30-car limit\, so don’t delay in getting registered today!\n\n   There will be four classes: Computer\, Calculating\, SOP (Seat of the Pants)\, and First Timer. For more information\, please visit our registration page. Scoring will use the Mojo GPS checkpoint system to record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  Once you register\, you’ll receive information on how to download a custom app (Mojo Competitor) to your smartphone.\n\n   Laser-engraved Pilsner glasses will be awarded as trophies to the top teams in each Class.\n\n   Bring that car you love to drive and explore new roads with us. DESCRIPTION:The Road Rally program of the  Cascade Sports Car Club\, also known as Cascade Geargrinders\, offers beginner-friendly time-speed-distance road rallies that last three to four hours\, starting and ending in the Portland area. The motorsport of Road Rally is a game you play while going for a drive in the country. Play the game that takes you places.\n\nThe June 7 rally is the third of six in the Cascade Geargrinders 2025 Saturday Road Rally Series. Teams that run three or more of the six rallies are eligible for Series Awards. Please take a look at our 2025 Geargrinder Season Flyer.\n\nEntry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured Driver\, a Navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Richta GPS Checkpoints app\, available for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play.\n\nThere is no on-site registration; more information and online registration can be found at MotorsportReg.com. There will be a Zoom Q&A Meeting on June 6\, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. All communication about the Saturday Series is conducted via email. Watch for emails and respond promptly.\n\nThe first car departs from the Milwaukie Lowe’s at 10:01 AM and is expected to arrive in Ridgefield\, WA\, around 1:30 PM. SUMMARY:CO: Rallye Glenwood Springs
DESCRIPTION:The Rallye Glenwood Springs\, now in it’s 73rd year is the longest continually-held car rallye in North America. It brings cars and drivers of all marques together for three days of driving fun. Friday June 6 is our TSD Rallye from Denver to Glenwood Springs\, followed by a Welcome Dinner for participants. Saturday’s event is a scenic gimmick rallye starting and finishing in Glenwood Springs\, and Sunday includes a car show and funkhana. The entry fee for those team competing in all three events\, and the car show\, is $99.00.\n\nThe rallye is a traditional Time Speed Distance (TSD) event and is challenging and devious\, but probably not diabolical. Our Ministers of Misdirection and Skullduggery (Rallye Masters) have avoided hard-to-see signs and other annoyances to ensure a fun and challenging rallye experience. Like last year\, we are using a GPS-based smart phone app called the Richta GPS Competitor to score Friday’s rallye\, which is a free and easy to use app that is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Be sure to download the Richta GPS Competitor app before arriving on Friday morning. \nAs always\, please bring a clipboard\, pen/pencil and paper\, stopwatch\, and a well-read copy of the Rallye General Instructions (downloaded from our website). Also bring a charger for your smart phone that you can use in the car.  The GPS function uses more power than the phone alone. One or more experienced rallyists will be available at the start location to answer questions and get you on your way. \nAll assigned speeds will be at or below posted speed limits. There will be breaks along the route\, including a lunch break. \nRallye Classes:\n\nNovice SOP (Seat of the Pants) – Rallyists are eligible for Novice class until they win a First Place or have competed in THREE TSD Rallyes. Pencil and paper calculations only.\nIntermediate SOP – Rallyists are eligible for Intermediate class until they have won First Place in Intermediate class.  Pencil and paper calculations only.\nExperienced SOP – No limit on experience. Pencil and paper calculations only. Rallye charts and tables are permitted.\nVintage – Any equipment must be period correct. Cars must have been manufactured before 1970.\nComputer – No limit on equipment.\n\nParticipants are expected to properly determine their Rallye class and enter it in Richta GPS Competitor. Failure to indicate your class in Richta GPS Competitor will place you in Experienced SOP class. \nAwards are given for first through fourth places in Novice and Intermediate classes\, and first through third places in Experienced\, Vintage\, and Computer classes. \n\nAll car brands (and their drivers) are welcome and no experience is necessary! Hosted by the MG Car Club – Rocky Mountain Centre\, this long-running and reasonably priced event includes fun competition\, beautiful roads\, and great cars.

DESCRIPTION:The AROO CUP Mini-Rally Series\, sanctioned by the Alfa Romeo Owners of Oregon\, is starting with the first of four rallies on March 2nd\, followed by April 13\, May 4\, and June 1\, in their 2025 season. Everyone is invited to try a 2-3 hour TSD road rally!\n\nTSDs (time-speed-distance) navigational drives are fun and challenging. They begin at 10 AM at Cook Park in Tigard. Plan to arrive about an hour early for the social aspect and the Drivers’ meeting. Every rally ends at a BBQ or Pizza joint for debrief and decompress. Roads are awesome\, and it is a challenge to pass each checkpoint exactly on time.\n\nRegister by sending an email to: paul.eklund@alfaclub.org.
