SUMMARY:TX: Tour de Force RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Tour de Force Rally\, a Texas Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Social Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) tour rally over scenic paved backroads of Somervell County and Hood County. The rally starts and ends at Motorsport Ranch (MSR)\, in Cresson\, Texas. All entrants are welcome. No prior rally experience is necessary. \nA precision driving event at fun speeds. This is not a speed or racing contest. Course following is easy with GPS mileages on every turn; there are no tricks or traps on the course. We assign speeds to drive. Your goal is to follow the rally route using written route instructions and arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the correct time.  We will score you on how close to the perfect time you arrive.  Get one point for each second early or late; low score wins. No calculations necessary. \nWe will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. This app will monitor your car’s position during the rally and will record the precise time that you pass each checkpoint on the rally.  Once you have passed a checkpoint\, the app will calculate your score for that leg and announce it to you.  Scores are automatically reported to the Rallymaster.  No score sheet to fill out. We will send you information on the app after you pre-register. There are 37 timing checkpoints in about 70 miles of rally route. \nWe plan to conduct a virtual Rally School via Zoom (currently scheduled for March 29th) to help prepare for the rally (for details and to pre-register for the School\, go to https://msreg.com/TFR26RSmsr ) . For those who can’t join the live session\, we will post a YouTube video recording of the session. We encourage you to attend the School. \n\nStarting Place:  Motorsport Ranch (MSR)\nFree time to check out other ongoing SCCA activities – Time Trials on the 1.3-mile circuit and Spring Fling Majors club racing on the 1.7-mile circuit: 8:30 am 12:00 pm\nRegistration/check-in: DriveXotic facility classroom: 10:45 am to 11:45 am on Rally Day\nLunch break (on your own):  11:15 am to 12:30 pm\nEntrant orientation/safety briefing: DriveXotic facility classroom: 12:35 pm\nCars leave from MSR: 1:00 pm plus your car number\nCars leave the timed start in Granbury:  1:30 pm plus your car number\nLength: approx. 72 miles (~2 hours)\nFinish: MSR\, (DriveXotic facility classroom) where we will gather for announcements and awards\nOptional Track Tour Laps on the 3.1-mile track: 5:30 pm\nOptional Dinner Party ($20 per person – payment at pre-registration): 6:30 pm\nRally type: TSD Tour.  A smart phone\, as well as a clipboard and pencil are all you need. No timing calculations needed (unless in Calculating Class – see below).\nRoute: paved roads in Hood County and Somervell County\nVehicles: Sports Cars\, Family Cars\, Classic Cars\, Antiques\, anything with 4 wheels that’s street legal is OK in this Rally. Our Road Rally is sponsored by THE DORIS BOVEE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION. Doris Bovee was an environmental enthusiast and our road rally is a tribute to her. \nSimilar to previous years\, the Doris Bovee Memorial Road Rally fuel economy event is open to all fuel types with classes for stock production\, stock hybrid\, stock plug-in hybrids\, modified production\, EV Sedan\, EV SUV and exhibition. All entries are subject to approval by the Board of Directors. \nThe autocross portion of the day\, however\, is open only to production and modified hybrids\, plug-in hybrids\, EV Sedans\, EV SUVs\, and Ecomodders to be considered on an individual basis. \n  \n

SUMMARY:NJ: Second Hand Roads Divisional Course RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Join the SCCA Northern New Jersey Region on the 85-mile Second Hand Roads Divisional RoadRally with easy-to-follow route instructions. The event will start at Subaru World of Newton (NOTE: This is a new location for 2026). \nFor those looking to enjoy an afternoon of friendly competition their is a Regional Tour event for you. Those wishing to compete for SCCA National Course RoadRally Series points this Divisional event (26-RRDC-66587) will be just the ticket. \nThe Richta GPS Checkpoints system is free to use and will record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  You’ll keep this app open while you run the rally and it will use the GPS signal from your device to record your arrival time at each checkpoint. \nOnce you pass a checkpoint\, the app will automatically calculate your score for that checkpoint and announce it to you!  No more waiting until the end of the rally to see how you did.  You’ll see your score at each checkpoint as you go along. \nGeneral Instructions and details about the Richta GPS Checkpoints App will be emailed to all registered contestants two weeks prior to the event. \nDivisional Entry fee is $35/car. \nRegional Entry fee is $30/Car. \nAnother $20 for weekend membership paid to the National Office if no one on the team is an SCCA member. \nIn-person sign-in starts at 10:00 AM \nDrivers Meeting: 10:45 AM \nTime: First car out at 11:00 AM \nADDITIONAL DETAILS \nEVENT CLASSES \n\nREGIONAL\n\nSOP (Seat of the Pants) – No timing calculations may be performed\, except for comparing your actual time to the car zero time as shown in some route instructions.\nNovice – Same equipment restriction as SOP\, but in addition neither contestant may have competed in five or more TSD rallies.\nBeginner –   Same equipment restriction as SOP\, but in addition neither contestant may have competed in more than one TSD rally.Regional trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd per class.\n\n\n\n\nDIVISIONAL\n\nPer the SCCA RoadRally Rules – Equipped\, Limited\, GPS and Stock – Microsoft Word – RRRs Abridged- 2023 Dec 23 2022 (connectsites.net)\nDivisional Course Points will be based on the RRRs\nTrophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd per class.
