DESCRIPTION:It’s February\, which means Jeanne English will be the Rallymaster and celebrating her birthday! The rally will travel some of the Santa Clarita area canyon roads\, with the emphasis on fun driving. There are NO TRAPS on this month’s rally\, so be prepared to stay on time! The rally finishes at Topper’s Pizza Place\, 18417 Soledad Canyon Rd\, Santa Clarita (at the intersection of Soledad Canyon and Sierra Highway).  \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. The maximum penalty this month is 120 seconds (2 minutes) per leg.This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone.Go to the App Store or Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!   \n\n\n\nAlso\, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish\, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online at msreg.com/FFN022023 for the SCCA Cal Club\, Santa Monica Sports Car Club sanctioned rally. DESCRIPTION:Tanned\, rested and ready… A northeast Ohio tradition since 1966 is back! Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2023 Ohio Winter Rally. The ~165 mile route will traverse portions of northeast Ohio’s Lake Erie “snowbelt” counties.\n\n\n\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free\, Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with emphasis on precise timing at well placed controls. Columnar “tulip” style route instructions\, with Official Mileages for all action points (similar to a stage rally routebook)\, will be used.\n\n\n\nIn an effort to help teams with limited prior timekeeping experience stay on schedule\, and to mitigate the possibility of “double jeopardy” from carrying a timing error through multiple controls\, parenthetical perfect cumulative leg times will be provided at all speed change locations.\n\n\n\nThe rally will count toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division Rally Championship\, and the SCCA National Touring Rally Championship as Divisional Rally.\n\n\n\nTentative Schedule (all times EST): \n\n\n\nSaturday\, January 28\, 2023: 23:59 – Early entry cutoff \n\n\n\nWednesday\, February 1\, 2023: 18:00 – Registration closes. General Instructions\, and Richta password distributed via email. \n\n\n\nThursday\, February 2\, 2023: 20:00 – Competitor briefing / Novice Q & A session (via Zoom) \n\n\n\nSaturday\, February 4\, 2023: \n\n\n\n     13:30-14:30 – On-site registration \n\n\n\n     15:01 – Car #1 starts rally. \n\n\n\n      20:45 (approx) – Car #1 finishes. \n\n\n\nCompetition Classes: \n\n\n\n     E – Equipment unrestricted. \n\n\n\n     L – Odometer unrestricted. DESCRIPTION:The PCA Metro Porsche Club of America proudly announces that the 2023 Road Rally season will start on Sunday\, February 5th\, with the 67th Snowflake Rally. Snowflake is the premier rally of Metro PCA. It is reported to be one of the\, if not the oldest\, continuously run events in PCA. \n\n\n\nHistorically Snowflake has been a TSD (time speed distance) rally. Participants are given speeds to travel\, and the time they are to start each section of instructions given to follow the route. The more accurate you are at maintaining the speeds the better you will do when we record your due time at unannounced places.  \n\n\n\nThis year there will be two classes. The “Expert” Class is for those with rally experience\, and the “Touring” Class will teach how to stay on time with hints at many turns as you follow the route. \n\n\n\nThe Rally will end at the Birchwood of Polish Town for a Private Sunday Brunch. \n\n\n\nCome and join us for a fun-filled adventure as we explore some of the most scenic roads on Long Island’s East End. \n\n\n\nDriving a Porsche is not required (but encouraged) ALL cars and SUVs are welcome. (I will drive our Cayenne). Remember\, it is the Snowflake Rally\, so bring an appropriate vehicle for the weather. DESCRIPTION:The long-awaited Winter Challenge Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region\, by Rallymaster John Buffum. We encourage you to check the Winter Challenge Road Rally website for more information.   \n\n\n\nThe Winter Challenge Rally weekend\, presented by Vermont SportsCar\, will consist of a single SCCA New England Region rally running from 4 pm Saturday until 1 am Sunday with two breaks. Although no car-breaking roads will be used\, most of the roads chosen are rural\, unpaved roads\, which will undoubtedly be snow and ice-covered.  \n\n\n\nFor 2023\, the anticipated classes may be: \n\n\n\n\nClass A    Calculating equipment may receive direct input from a mileage-measuring device. Typical calculating devices in this Class include Alfa\, Chronar\, Timewise\, and Zeron rally computers.\n\n\n\nClass L    If distance information is acquired only from a mechanical odometer\, it must be manually fed into any calculation device; the distance measuring device must be separate from the calculation device.  (e.g. Curta calculators\, tables\, laptop computers\, electronic APP\, programmable and nonprogrammable electronic calculators. If the distance information is derived solely from GPS signals\, then any electronic APP may be used.\n\n\n\nClass S   Distance information must be visually acquired from the vehicle’s stock\, non-adjustable odometer in the stock location.

DESCRIPTION:The Annual Cascade Sports Car Club Road Rally School and Rally. \n\n\n\nThe Cascade Sports Car Club (CSCC) Road Rally School will be a Zoom Class on Friday evening\, February 17th. SUMMARY:MN: Land O' Lakes Region Flamethrower Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Flamethrower Rally is a Regularity Rally run in MN part of the Driftless area. The course traverses the Valleys flowing into the Mississippi River\, taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nOnly two people are allowed in the car. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is required. A smart phone with built in GPS will make it a lot easier and more fun. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021 and 2022. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event. It’s a Rally Computer app that does all the work for you to stay on time. \n\n\n\nRabbit Rally Info \n\n\n\nEntry fee is $40/car\, and another $15 for Weekend Membership if you are not an SCCA Member.In-person sign-in starts at 2:00PM\, First car out at 3:31PMLength: 5 hours\, 137 miles \n\n\n\nIt is recommended that you have Winter rated tires. Speed shall have no impact whatsoever on the classification. Regularity Zones (RZs) shall be set up where participants have to follow the established average speed and stay close to the ideal time throughout the route. Time penalties shall be handed down as points. The winner shall be the competitor with the fewest points at the end of the rally. The details of the itinerary and the various controls shall be set out in the time card.  \n\n\n\nAll registration material will be either online or emailed to you so you can fill out before arrival. The exception is the SCCA Waiver which we must witness.

DESCRIPTION:Find Another Opportunity\, the first TSD RoadRally of the 2023 Rally Season for the Southern Indiana Region\, takes place on Sunday\, February 26th\, by Rallymaster Bob Sonntag. \n\n\n\nThe route is all paved. Not all of it nicely paved; but\, it is all paved…except the antique bridge that’s more planked than paved. The route runs from Hardee’s in Evansville through Vanderburgh\, Warrick\, and Spencer counties to get to Turoni’s Pizza in Newburg\, Indiana. \n\n\n\nIf you’re new to TSD (Time/Speed/Distance) rallies\, plan on being at Hardee’s by noon. That’ll allow time for a bit of tutoring to make your afternoon more enjoyable. \n\n\n\nCheck-in around 12:30 PMDrivers meeting at 1:00 PM\, and the first car off after the Driver’s Meeting. \n\n\n\nThe Find Another Opportunity will use the Richta GPS Competitor app so you will need it installed on a smart device (phone or tablet) before you get to the rally. \n\n\n\nEntry Fees:SCCA Member Driver: $37SCCA Student Member Driver: $27SCCA Member Navigator: Free \n\n\n\nSCCA members should have an annual waiver or expect to be charged an additional $5. \n\n\n\nGuest Driver: $57Guest Student Driver: $47Guest Navigator: Free for the first SCCA event.Guest Navigator: $20 after the Free Trial membership is used. \n\n\n\nIt is expected that all participants are at least 18 years of age.
