SUMMARY:WI: Roads Scamper National Tour RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Milwaukee Region presents the Roads Scamper National Tour RoadRally\, on Sunday\, June 6\, 2021. Join your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180-mile time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads north of Madison\, Wisconsin. \n\n\n\nThis rally will use the Richta GPS checkpoint app. Contestants will download the app to their smartphones in advance of the rally. During the rally\, this app will use the GPS signals and automatically record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then display your score to you!! No more waiting until the rally is over to find out how you did. A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide you with many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations. Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180-mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone to run this event. If you’re planning to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device. The Richta GPS checkpoint app needs to be the only app running on your phone during the rally; you can download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. \n\n\n\nThis is a tour-type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. Rallymaster Jim Crittenden encourages you to register straight-away\, as there is a twenty-five car limit on this rally\, and it is expected to sell out!  \n\n\n\nThere is also a Milwaukee Region event on Saturday\, June 5th\, called the Roads Scholar National Course. \n\n\n\nHeadquarters Hotel:  Should you decide to come in the evening before\, the Country Inn and Suites\, has a block of rooms (with two queen beds) reserved for contestants at a special rate of $79/night plus tax\, but only until May 13th. This includes a hot breakfast buffet. Ask for “SCCA Car Rally” to get this rate! \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in – 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM \n\n\n\nFirst Car Off – 8:31 AM  Saturday \n\n\n\nFirst Car Finished – Approx 3:45 pm \n\n\n\nCost: $75/car for SCCA Members\,  $90/car if neither contestant is an SCCA member. Two people per car required. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. General Instructions will be emailed to all registered contestants two weeks prior to the event.

SUMMARY:OR: CSCC Saturday Road Rally Series
DESCRIPTION:Cascade Sports Car Club’s Saturday Road Rally Series offers beginner-friendly time-speed-distance road rallies\, lasting from three to four hours\, starting and ending in the Portland area. \n\n\n\nThe June 12th road rally begins at Milwaukie Lowe’s and ends at the Helvetia Tavern near Hillsboro. Torm Kelsey-Green and Kasey Klaus are your Rallymasters. \n\n\n\nEntry fee: $20 per car for CSCC members (either Driver or Navigator is a CSCC member)$30 per car for non-members   \n\n\n\nSchedule: June 12thFirst car out: 10:01 am First car arrives at the finish (approx.): 1:30 pm Results emailed: after all cars finish  Entry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured driver\, a navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app. \n\n\n\nDay-of-event on-site registration will not be available. Due to the continuing pandemic\, the Saturday Series Rally will be Cascade’s tenth TSsD (Time Speed social Distance) road rally conducted in compliance with the Cascade Geargrinders Coronavirus Message. \n\n\n\nAfter completing online registration by the deadline of June 9th\, you will receive an email providing further instructions\, including your car number assignment\, instructions for registering your car number in the Competitor Richta app\, and a link to e-sign the required event insurance waiver. Once you’ve completed these check-in steps\, we’ll email the route instructions on Friday. You’ll need to print them. Friday evening\, there will be a Q & A Zoom meeting. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday morning\, leave the start by your assigned out time. Follow the route instructions to the end. The Rallymasters will email the results after all teams have completed the course. Saturday evening\, there will be a rally debrief Zoom meeting.
