The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. It is available on the App Store or Google Play Store or at https://richtarally.com/. A score will be awarded based on your correct arrival time at checkpoints. \n\n\n\nOur 75-mile route for Avocados\, Vines & Country Lines Road Rally will start in Fallbrook (near the intersection of the 15 and 76) in northern San Diego county. It will take us through a two-hour tour of the scenic back roads of Temecula. We’ll end at Prohibition Brewery in Vista. \n\n\n\nA beginner’s video will be shared online the week before the event. You will need paper\, a pencil/pen\, a watch or clock with a second hand\, a stopwatch\, and a clipboard. A valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance are required. Your vehicle must meet basic safety standards (e.g.\, lights\, brakes\, windshield wipers\, and horn must work). The Driver’s meeting will be held on the morning of the event around 8:30 AM. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $30 per car and requires a street-legal vehicle\, a Driver\, and a Navigator. There is no need for advanced math and no riddles\, compasses\, maps\, or gimmicks. We will rain or shine on May 18\, 2024. \n\n\n\nThis is an SCCA Cal Club-sanctioned Regional “Trek” format cruise event sponsored by the Into the Night Rally Team. It’s a non-competitive\, untimed driving event. You can run alone or with as many passengers as your vehicle has working seat belts. \n\n\n\nThe “Trek” format is a “follow-the-leader” type cruise event. There will be a lead car\, and we’ll all basically just stay in the queue behind them. Just follow the car in front of you and enjoy the roads. We will hand out a brief\, written course description at the Start to help you stay with the route if you decide to stop or whatever. You can stop anywhere for any reason: a break\, sightseeing\, photos\, etc. \n\n\n\nRegarding photos\, this event will go through the heart of the southern California wildflower area. With the rains we’ve been having\, it should be a super bloom and should still be going strong on rally day. We have found an especially scenic spot on the course in this area\, and we will have a professional photographer there to get some high-res pictures of you and your car surrounded by the wildflowers. We’ll then send each of you your photos after the event! \n\n\n\nThis event has been designed to be extremely EV-friendly. A score will be awarded based on your correct arrival time at checkpoints. \n\n\n\nOur 75-mile route for Hernandez Hideaway Road Rally will start at Hernandez Hideaway Restaurant and then head into the twisty coastal roads of San Diego County\, finishing at the Hernandez Hideaway Restaurant. \n\n\n\nA beginner’s video will be shared online the week before the event. You will need paper\, a pencil/pen\, a watch or clock with a second hand\, a stopwatch\, and a clipboard. A valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance are required. Your vehicle must meet basic safety standards (e.g.\, lights\, brakes\, windshield wipers\, and horn must work). The Driver’s meeting will be held on the morning of the event around 8:00 AM. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $30 per car and requires a street-legal vehicle\, a Driver\, and a Navigator. The Driver or Navigator must be an SCCA Member; Weekend Memberships are available for $20 during registration and can be used for credit toward a full SCCA Membership.   \n\n\n\nResults will be posted online. It’s a course rally that will test your ability to stay on course and on time. The rally will run primarily in San Bernardino County. There will be no absence of the sign traps and no lettered instructions. There will be ITIS (If There Is Such) instructions and a sign Aristotle (as per SMSCC Generals). There will be variable main road determinants\, but no more than four at any time (often only two). In fact\, you can run Highway Robbery using the SMSCC General Instructions with a short addendum instead of the RRRs if you want to. These are mostly the same generals we used on previous Highway Robberies. Jeanne English\, Rallymaster\, expects most contestants to do most legs correctly. We’re not sure which coasts\, yet on Saturday\, May 6th\, teams will take on the challenge of the Coast to Coast Road Rally\, an SCCA-sanctioned TSD (Time-Speed-Distance) RoadRally. The object of a navigational rally is to follow the rally course at the assigned (legal) speeds and to arrive at each checkpoint on time; not early\, not late. Your score on each leg of the rally is based on how early or late you arrive at each checkpoint.  \n\n\n\nTeams will gather at the La Costa Avenue Park & Ride in Carlsbad with a Driver’s Meeting at 8AM.
