SUMMARY:CA: Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Roadrally
DESCRIPTION:The First Friday Niter Road Rally\, a five-decade tradition\, is sanctioned by the SCCA\, Cal Club Region\, and the Santa Monica Sports Car Club!   \n\n\n\nWe are posting this to “save the date” and will provide more info when received. \n\n\n\nThe following has been standard info on their past events (stay tuned)! \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. This month’s maximum penalty is 60 seconds (1 minute) per leg. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store\, Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!  \n\n\n\nIf you want to see all the scores at the Finish\, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online here on MotorSportReg.com. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start. We start at the Bank of America rear lot; in-person registration opens at 7:00 PM\, with the first car out at 8:01 PM; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 PM. SUMMARY:CA: It's a Pie Run Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join the SCCA San Diego Region on Saturday\, September 14th\, for a navigational TSD (time/speed/distance) Road Rally on public roads at assigned (legal) speeds. A score will be awarded based on your correct arrival time at checkpoints. \n\n\n\nOur 75-mile route for the It’s a Pie Run Road Rally takes on the twisty back roads of San Diego County and finishes at The Cooler\, Tap & Tasting Room near Julian\, CA. \n\n\n\nA beginner’s video will be shared online the week before the event. You will need paper\, a pencil/pen\, a watch or clock with a second hand\, a stopwatch\, and a clipboard. A valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance are required. Your vehicle must meet basic safety standards (e.g.\, lights\, brakes\, windshield wipers\, and horn must work). The Driver’s meeting will be held on the morning of the event around 8:00 AM. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $30 per car and requires a street-legal vehicle\, a Driver\, and a Navigator. The Driver or Navigator must be an SCCA Member; Weekend Memberships are available for $15 during registration and can be used for credit toward a full SCCA Membership.   \n\n\n\nResults will be posted online.
