DESCRIPTION:Registration is open from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Beginners Meeting (an introduction for newcomers) will be held at 7:45 p.m. First car starts at 8:01 p.m.; cars leave at 1-minute intervals. \nWe start from the rear parking lot of the Bank of America\, on Devonshire Street\, just east of Sepulveda Blvd\, Mission Hills. \nEntry fees are $15 per team of Driver and Navigator\, both of which must be SCCA Members. A free Weekend Membership is available for non-SCCA Members. \nThe rally is designed to be completed in about two hours and covers 50-75 miles.

SUMMARY:IL: Return of the G.O.A.T.S. Tour
DESCRIPTION:A number of years ago the Chicago Region SCCA held a tour-type rally to LaCrosse Wisconsin. Several of the entrants had their private radios with them to communicate with each other as we traversed the tour route. Conversation over the radios was minimal\, then suddenly the silence was broken! A voice came across the airways shouting “goats\, goats\, goats\,” and then it went silent. What we all found out later that day is that a small heard of goats were on the road just past a curve. Apparently the noise from the car and its driver yelling as loud as possible on the radio scared the goats away because no one else observed this obstacle.   \n\n\n\nNow\, we can’t promise you that same level of excitement\, nor do we want you to experience it for yourself on this Chicago Region SCCA Tour.  However\, if you join us this coming Saturday\, May 15\, 2021 the Chicago Region and its G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) backroads tour series will provide you with an enjoyable day of driving\, using great Wisconsin backroads providing scenic views and plenty of turns and elevation changes. The drive will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete ending in Paoli\, Wisconsin\, where there will be options for lunch and some socializing. Join us\, won’t you\, for The Return of the G.O.A.T.S. \n\n\n\nWhen: Saturday May 15\, 2021 \n\n\n\nRegistration:  Pre-event registration is required. Registration on opens April 12\, 2021. click on the link to MotorsportReg\, the entry deadline is Saturday May 8\, 2021.  \n\n\n\nEntry Fee per car: $14.00 SCCA Members\, $30.00 Non-members (Weekend membership for all non-member drivers is required (fee is included in entry). DESCRIPTION:We’d love to have you join your fellow car enthusiasts for the 2021 Do It Again Rally (aka TSD or “The Social Distance”)\, sanctioned by the SCCA Finger Lakes Region.  \n\n\n\nWhat is it: We have an opportunity for a little fun in these trying times. We are offering a unique Social Rally\, just for fun. It is not part of any series or serious points race. \n\n\n\nWhere: Starts and ends at Tom Wahl’s on Route 5&20 in Avon \n\n\n\nWhen: Sunday\, 5/16/21.  Check In: 12:30-1:30pm\, First car off at 2:01 (more on timing below) \n\n\n\nHow much: The entry fee is $20/car plus $5 for each weekend membership. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Avon Food Pantry to help the local community. \n\n\n\nEvent Day Details:  \n\n\n\nThis is a ‘minimal contact’ event. Click here to register online through Hagerty MotorsportReg or email the info to the Rallymaster if you want to enter. There is a limit of 45 cars.The rally is:You follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit.As you follow the route\, you will be timed at locations unknown to you. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them.)The course is approximately 31 miles and should take about 56 minutes to complete.Teams then repeat the course route at 3:00+car #.For the second time around the route\, checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again. The score will be how close the minute and hundredths are to the time you passed on the first loop (if you did it the first time\, you should be able to do it a second time\, right?)If you take a TA on the second passage\, text it to the phone number on the routes with a mileage where it occurred. Once a TA is taken\, the TA time applies for the rest of the second loop.Cars will have window chalk or magnetic number on each side of the car so the checkpoint worker can identify the car as it passes.The entry fee is $20/car plus $5 for each weekend membership. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Avon Food Pantry to help the local community.A waiver will be placed on a picnic table behind and outside Tom Wahl’s. Everyone that competes must sign the waiver. We ask everyone to bring their own pen and sign it individually\,Routes would be emailed to teams on the morning of the event.There will be a short driver’s meeting at 1:45\, before the event.The results will be calculated after the event and emailed to all competitors.There will be a ‘print your own trophy’ for all participants.  (In the interest of social distance.)We may even do a Zoom Meeting (virtual happy hour) for results to share rally stories and enjoy some after the event.\n\n\n\nIn light of the current COVID-19 situation\, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. SUMMARY:TX: Texas Tulip Run Road Rally with the SCCA Lone Star Region
DESCRIPTION:The Texas Tulip Run RoadRally\, with the SCCA Lone Star Region\, starts with viewing the inventory of classic cars for sale at A&E Classic Cars. The initial portion of the route meanders through Central Texas from New Braunfels through Marion\, Santa Clara\, New Berlin to the edge of La Vernia. There will be a stop at Texas Tulips (the entry fee is included with the rally) to enjoy the colorful flowers\, yet buy all the stems and bulbs you desire. The Road Rally will continue taking the scenic route to La Vernia\, St Hedwig\, Schertz\, and other communities until we reach Harmon’s BBQ in Cobolo\, where we will have our social meeting. \n\n\n\nA non-speed social Road Rally\, the route will be along paved roads\, although some have not been paved recently. Registration between 1:00 and 2:00 PM will be at A&E Classic Cars\, so come early and look over the fine classic vehicles. After a safety briefing at 1:45 PM\, cars will be released at intervals to proceed on their scenic journey. It should take between 90 minutes and two hours for this Road Rally as you learn about the history of Central Texas. Questions will be asked along the way\, yet awards will not be based on questions or a car’s finish position. This Road Rally is a fun social outing and a learning event. Children are welcome\, yet insurance requires a waiver signed by both parents. Minors may be either navigators or drivers.  \n\n\n\nThe Social Road Rally fee for this event is $30.00 (the same for both SCCA members and non-SCCA members).  \n\n\n\nThe GOAL of the SCCA is to Have Fun with Cars!

DESCRIPTION:Uh\, oh! The April First Friday Niter is on April Fool’s Day! Come on out to the Santa Monica Sports Car Club\, a Chapter of the SCCA Cal Club\, and see what Rallymaster Larry Scholnick has planned for you. He said\, “The rally is short on miles but long on traps.”   \n\n\n\nTranslated\, ‘It is a short rally\, only about 40 miles; there are\, indeed\, numerous traps…BUT\, there is only one trap per leg\, they are mostly easy to figure out (here’s a hint for one of them – make sure you know what SOL means)\, and all trap values are less than a minute (some much less). What’s really amazing\, is that all of the traps are different! It’s an excellent chance to see how good your rally skills are! \n\n\n\nThe rally finishes in Camarillo at Topper’s Pizza Place\, 425 Arneill Rd\, (805) 385-4444 (call ahead on your way to the finish so your pizza will be ready when you get there). \n\n\n\nWe are using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. The maximum penalty for this FFN is 3 minutes (150 seconds) per leg\, and all checkpoints are referenced in the route instructions. Before you arrive at the start\, please download the Richta Competitor app to your phone; it’s a free download for Android and Apple devices. There is no need for additional timing equipment\, your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nPlease register here on MotorSportReg at msreg.com/FFN042022\, it helps us plan for how many cars will be attending and makes registration quicker for you. DESCRIPTION:The Johnson City to Fredericksburg Road Rally is a non-speed social Road Rally whose route has a lot of scenic views of the hill country. Registration for this SCCA Lone Star Region rally will be 11A-12P in the parking lot of Johnson City Dairy Queen. Cars will be released at intervals to proceed on their scenic journey after the 1145A Safety Briefing.  \n\n\n\nThe route will leave Johnson City and go 15 miles north to Round Mountain\, where there will be a stop to view the classic cars at Hans Derocher’s. The route will continue up TX 71 to Llano and back south on TX 16. The route winds through ranch country along Crabapple Creek just south of Enchanted Mountain. The route finally takes us to Eaker BBQ on Main Street in Fredericksburg\, where we can discuss the ups and downs of this route and all other things automotive.  \n\n\n\nExciting towns you visit along the way include Crabapple\, Eckert\, and Willow City. Questions will be asked along the way\, but awards will not be based on questions or a team’s finishing position. The route has several country roads that have not been recently paved\, and there are18 cattle guards. This Road Rally is meant to be a fun social outing and a learning event. Children are welcome\, but insurance requires an SCCA Waiver signed by both parents. Minors may be either Navigators or Drivers.  \n\n\n\nThe Social Road Rally fee for this event is $25.00 (the same for both SCCA and non-SCCA members).  \n\n\n\nThe GOAL of the SCCA is to Have Fun with Cars!

SUMMARY:TX: Twin Sisters Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Come early and enjoy the games\, snacks\, and the two-level karting track at Andretti Karting\, our registration site\, before the Twin Sisters Road Rally. \n\n\n\nThis SCCA Lone Star Region RoadRally is to enjoy the farm and ranch countryside during a two-hour drive. This non-speed event is meant for auto enthusiasts as a family activity. Children are welcome at no extra charge. \n\n\n\nThe route will leave Andretti Karting to Leon Springs\, Fair Oaks\, Kendalia\, Sisterdale\, Luckenbach\, Cain City\, Grapetown\, and Bankersmith before ending at the Alamo Café across from Old Tunnel State Park. After a choice supper\, you can watch the millions of Mexican Free-tail bats and thousands of Mouse-eared bats exit the Old Tunnel for the evening of feasting on mosquitos. \n\n\n\nSeveral stretches of old payment and a few cattle guards are along this route. As well as two stretches of well-graded dirt (with few rocks). Along the way\, you will be given points of local history. \n\n\n\nSCCA events are still asked to observe COVID precautions\, so we ask that whoever attends the 8:45A Safety Briefing wear a mask. If you experience symptoms of COVID immediately before the event\, your money will be refunded. \n\n\n\nThe GOAL of the SCCA is to Have Fun with Cars!

SUMMARY:PA: Monopoly Redux VI GTA Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Steel Cities Region\, SCCA (western Pennsylvania area) will host its End of Summer Showcase Festival (an ‘all things SCCA’ event) on Saturday\, August 27th\, is the Monopoly Red VI RoadRally. In addition to other SCCA activities such as an autocross\, road races\, and time trials\, there will be a road rally.  \n\n\n\nThe 50 mile\, approximately three-hour afternoon event will start and finish at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum\, PA\, just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike Beaver Valley Exit 13\, 45 miles north of Pittsburgh\, PA. \n\n\n\nLike many SportsCar Club of America RoadRally events\, this one will use fun-to-drive paved\, public\, lightly traveled country roads. You will travel below the speed limit searching for the correct signs to move tokens around the Monopoly Game board. The winning team will be the one coming closest to the correct trip around the board. The event will wind its way through tall forests and small towns\, over streams and past large farms north and east of the start. \n\n\n\nNo rally experience or equipment is necessary but you will need a legal car\, a licensed Driver and a Navigator. The entry fee is $30 per car\, and only one member of the team needs an SCCA membership. SUMMARY:PA: As The Crow Flies Social Rally
DESCRIPTION:The As the Crow Flies is sanctioned by the SCCA Allegheny Highlands Sports Car Club as a GTA Social Rally. The entry fee is $30. \n\n\n\nAs the Crow Flies is a shortest-distance rally\, an untimed RoadRally follows an undefined route. Instead of the usual route instructions and timing controls\, contestants are given a map and a list of waypoints to be visited. Contestants receive penalty points for each 0.10 mile traversed during the rally. Thus\, the goal is to visit all the required sites (waypoints) in the allotted time while traversing the shortest distance possible. These waypoints may be visited in any order of your choosing after leaving the start control and before you arrive at the finish control. Unlimited use of additional maps\, GPS\, Waze\, etc.\, is permitted.  \n\n\n\nThe available roads are all public roads in and bordering Indiana County\, PA. Typical fall foliage and scenery should be superb as you travel on many roads most of you will have never seen before. Each team (minimum of two people) will use their maps and waypoint list to plot a course and may drive at whatever legal speeds are comfortable for them. Three hours are allotted to complete the rally\, but it should take less time. Awards for best overall finishing position(s) and best finishing position of any team with no prior experience with the shortest distance rally. \n\n\n\nIf you prefer a more extended version\, please consider our Ghost Tracks on the same day. Register over at Motorsportreg and try this rally style. \n\n\n\nEntrants can approach the waypoint from any direction and be assured that the transponder provided by the Rally Committee will confirm their arrival at the waypoint. Mileage will be zeroed at the Start Control and frozen at the Finish Control\, having accumulated all of the mileage the transponder has traversed. This total mileage will be the final score after adding a penalty of fifteen miles for each waypoint not attained if applicable. The shortest distance wins.  \n\n\n\nThis will be the first of its kind and requires no equipment\, not even a cell phone. The rally is intended to be a model for other regions to host a rally that requires minimal effort on the part of a Rally Committee. Rallymaster Bruce Gezon strongly believes that the format may become a preferred rally type.

SUMMARY:TX: Let's Meet at Waco Trek Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Texas Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) invites all fellow car enthusiasts to this Trek rally down to Waco. A Trek is a non-competitive driving event on scenic country roads. No questions\, puzzles\, tricks or traps\, or timed controls\, just a fun (and stress-free) drive following a pre-determined route using a “convoy style” format. Rallymaster John Poulos will provide basic route instructions as a backup only. All are welcome\, and no prior rally experience is necessary. \n\n\n\nWe start in Arlington\, then the Let’s Meet at Waco Trek Rally will wind our way on twisty backroads to Waco\, passing through Glen Rose\, Meridian\, and other points before ending at a restaurant in Waco\, where we’ll enjoy a meal and camaraderie with fellow rallyists from the SCCA Lone Star Region (Austin-San Antonio). We’ll stop for a group picture at one or two sites along the way.  \n\n\n\nRegistration/Check-in at Summit Racing Equipment\, in Arlington\, at 845 AM. We’ll have a Safety Briefing at 915 AM\, and the first car departs at 930 AM. The rally spans a distance of 180 miles\, approximately five hours in length. The route is on paved roads in North Central Texas; we may encounter brief stretches of uneven pavement\, which may influence your vehicle choice on Rally Day. All vehicles are welcome: sports cars\, family cars\, classics\, antiques\, and anything with four wheels that’s street legal is okay in this Rally. Note: speed is not a factor. \n\n\n\nWe finish around 2:00 PM at El Conquistador Mexican Restaurant in Waco\, where we will share a beverage or meal with fellow rallyists from the Lone Star Region\, who will end their own Waco National Mammoth Monument Rally at this restaurant. \n\n\n\nAfter lunch\, teams may optionally visit Waco sights\, such as the Waco Mammoth National Monument\, Dr. Pepper Museum\, Magnolia Market\, and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum\, before heading home. \n\n\n\nNo requirement for at least two people in each car unless you separate from the group and rely on (backup) route instructions. SUMMARY:TX: Waco National Mammoth Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join the SCCA Lone Star Region on their Waco Run Road Rally\, from Seguin to Waco\, where they will have a late lunch at the El Conquistador Restaurant before visiting one of several Waco attractions\, including the Waco Memorial Mammoth Museum\, the Texas Ranger Museum\, the Mayborn Museum Complex\, the Dr. Pepper Museum\, or the Cameron Park Zoo. This non-speed family event will be a wonderful chance to enjoy Texas country roads in the fall. Participants will be asked to answer 30 questions about the rally route. All awards are voted on by participants at the end of the event. \n\n\n\nEach team must have a valid inspection sticker and a Driver with a valid driver’s license; the car must also have proof of insurance and a Navigator who reads English. Children are welcome\, but children under 18 must have an SCCA Minor Waiver signed by both parents. Children\, if qualified\, may be Drivers or Navigators. The fee is only $25 per car whether a member of SCCA or not. This route will be over paved Federal\, State\, and County roads. \n\n\n\nThe Rally will start with Saturday registration from 9-10 AM. There will be a Safety Briefing at 9:45\, after which cars will be released to follow the rally route to Lockhart\, Elgin\, Taylor\, and a host of smaller towns. Once the participants reach Waco\, they are directed to El Conquistador Restaurant in southwest Waco\, where we hope to meet up with members of the Ft. Worth-Dallas Road Rally coming from the north. After voting on Road Rally awards\, participants will be given instructions on several Waco attractions they can visit. \n\n\n\nSCCA events are still asked to observe COVID precautions\, so we ask whoever attends the 9:45 Safety Briefing to wear a mask and/or separation protocols.  If you experience symptoms of COVID immediately before the event\, your money will be refunded. \n\n\n\nThe GOAL of the SCCA is to Have Fun with Cars!
