SUMMARY:BC: 51st Thunderbird Rally
DESCRIPTION:The 51st Thunderbird Rally\, is a winter driving adventure\, Round 1 of the 2024 BC TSD Rally Championship\, and Round 1 of the Pacific Coast Challenge. The rally is sanctioned by the Rally Pacific Motorsports (BC Region of CARS)\, and follows the current BC TSD Rally Regulations/ \n\n\n\nThe Rally runs on straight-forward instructions. In addition to the route instructions\, maps will be provided. The Rally will be about 850km long\, entirely within the province of BC\, and will start with an odometer check section of about 15km. Roads will be about 40% clear pavement\, 60% snow-covered pavement and gravel. Instructions are provided in both km and miles\, but the official measurements and calculations are based on the km figures. \n\n\n\nNew to the sport? SUMMARY:NJ: Spring Fling Divisional Tour Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Region will hold three Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rallies this year. All three rallies will be SCCA Divisional Tour Rallies. The instructions will be easy to follow. Contestants must have a  smartphone (or tablet) and have the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints  App downloaded before Registration; it is a free download and available for both Apple and Android.  \n\n\n\nVehicles will be timed at numerous checkpoint locations on the course using the Rallymaster – Richta GPS Checkpoints App. Teams will be scored on how close they arrive at their perfect calculated official time at the checkpoints.   \n\n\n\nThe start and finish of the rallies are at Carolina Blue Restaurant. Sign in from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. Awards will be presented to the Driver and Navigator\, who get the best total score for the day in several categories.   \n\n\n\nSigning up before the day of the rally is highly advisable and very important. There is a limit of 30 cars entered for each event\, and the Rallymaster needs to have ample Route Instructions printed for each Team.

Paul MacIntyre and Chuck Larouere are excited to explore the backroads north and east of Pittsburgh. Once you’ve completed these check-in steps\, we’ll email the route instructions on Friday. You’ll need to print them. Friday evening\, there will be a Q & A Zoom meeting. \n\n\n\nOn Saturday morning\, leave the start by your assigned out time. Follow the route instructions to the end. The Rallymasters will email the results after all teams have completed the course. Saturday evening\, there will be a rally debrief Zoom meeting.

DESCRIPTION:The Texas Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) invites you to join us at Logan’s Roadhouse for Jerry White’s annual Valentine’s Day-themed road rally. It will be about a 90-mile drive on some of the scenic hard surfaced country roads in the Brazos River Valley in Parker\, Hood\, and Palo Pinto Counties. No prior rally experience or SCCA membership is necessary. \n\n\n\nThe challenge is to see how many correct puzzle solutions (many with a sweetheart theme) you can find based on signs and objects along the rally route. Puzzles can have from zero (0) to four (4) correct solutions. One (1) penalty point is awarded for each findable puzzle solution you miss marking as found and one (1) is awarded for each solution you mark as found when it didn’t exist or in some way was not a correct solution. Low score wins. There will never be more than one puzzle active at a time. Think of it as a visual scavenger hunt. \n\n\n\nGoogle Forms will be used to display the route instructions and puzzles and to collect and score you and your sweetheart’s/navigator’s solutions. To use a Google Form\, you will need a browser on a smartphone\, tablet\, or laptop computer to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi or cellular data.  \n\n\n\nIn addition\, you will need a separate smartphone to run the Richta GPS Competitor app. It will use GPS signals and a minor amount of cellular data to monitor your time and course and tell you when to stop working on a puzzle and/or prepare to do the next route instruction. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a fun and exciting car road rally celebrating the life of Ron Dunlop\, a great guy and a tremendous rally organizer and competitor\, on Saturday\, March 19\, 2022. The Ron Dunlop Memorial Rally\, sponsored by the Into the Night Rally Team\, is sanctioned as an SCCA Divisional Tour Rally and will explore the amazing Wine Country backroads around Santa Barbara and Santa Maria. \n\n\n\nRallymaster Paul McGaffey’s Route Instructions will use a simple Monte Carlo format\, meaning you get turn-by-turn directions\, AND you will get your target time at each Checkpoint. All Timed Checkpoints are listed in the Route Instructions\, and all are referenced by prominent signs on the course. The rally is a little over 200 miles long\, and you will have seven hours of driving nirvana with many breaks for gas\, food\, and rest stops. \n\n\n\nThe object of this event is to enjoy driving sweeping\, beautiful\, challenging back roads at legal speeds while following simple directions to pass a series of checkpoints at just the right time.  \n\n\n\nThere is no need for advanced math\, no riddles\, compasses\, maps\, or gimmicks\, just glorious roads to drive with a focus on precision and accuracy. Rallying is a team sport; the Driver and Navigator must work together to get it right. \n\n\n\nThere are no average speeds. Just run at the posted speed limits (rally is timed at least two mph BELOW those limits and has pauses where needed). If you reach a timed Checkpoint early\, you can pull over\, get out of traffic lanes\, and either creep in or wait for your target time to pass by the Checkpoint. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone or appropriate tablet. Go to the App Store\, Google Play Store\, or direct to https://richtarally.com/ and download it. There is no need for additional timing equipment; your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nWe’ve designed it to be EV-friendly. There are five stations and a Tesla Dealership near the Start in Camarillo\, five near the lunch break in Santa Maria\, two fast-charging stations\, and a Tesla Supercharger in the parking lot at the Finish in Goleta.  \n\n\n\nPlease register online here at MotorsportsReg. The registration fee is $60 per car\, with a $15 discount for SCCA members. You may still register in person at the Start. (Sorry\, but we will not be able to accept credit cards at Registration. Please use the MSR website to pay by credit card.) Both Driver and Navigator are required to complete the Waiver. To save time for both you and us at the Start\, we ask you to please enter your cell phone number where indicated near the bottom of the registration page\, and please check the ‘yes’ button just below that. SUMMARY:NH: NER Seacoast Scramble Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Seacoast Scramble Road Rally is a 150 +/- mile TSD Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region\, that uses a combination of Written Route Instructions\, Tulip Diagrams\, and basic navigation skills. The route will begin in Farmington\, NH\, head into Maine\, and back to New Hampshire. The Seacoast Scramble uses a mixture of paved and unpaved roadways. \n\n\n\nThe Rally will start with a traditional check-in with Registration\, followed by a brief Drivers’ meeting. All Checkpoints\, Timing & Scoring will utilize the Checkpoint – Richta GPS App along the brisk rally route with short stops and a mid-rally fuel/lunch break. For most of the day\, the Driver and Co-driver are in a car and moving along the course. \n\n\n\nThis event is in honor of the Rallymasters’ father\, Paul Poor Sr\, who passed shortly before last year’s inaugural event. If he had been able to participate\, he would have left with a memory\, which would have become a story he would have told for years and years to come. DESCRIPTION:The October First Friday Niter\, coming up on October 7\, is being written by guest Rallymasters Revere Jones and Jared Leadbetter. The odometer check heads east on the 210 to Sunland. The rally travels up Big Tujunga Canyon to Angeles Forest and down Angeles Crest into La Canada-Flintridge\, where the rally then travels on and around Chevy Chase. About half of the legs have traps\, which means that about half don’t! The finish is at The Habit Burger\, 990 Town Center Drive\, La Canada-Flintridge. \n\n\n\nWe are using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing to the second. All checkpoints are listed in the route instructions\, with a Restart after each one. SUMMARY:CA: Cal Club Eureka Divisional Course Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Eureka Road Rally is an SCCA Divisional Course Rally written by Jeanne English. It is a companion rally to ITN’s Thunder Road\, a Monte Carlo-style SCCA National Tour Rally written by Joe Akerman on Saturday\, October 15. Both are headquartered at the Hampton Inn in Arvin (Tejon Ranch)\, CA.  Registration for Eureka opens at 8:00A; route instructions are handed out at 8:30A plus your car number in minutes. Official start time is 9:00A plus your car number\, in minutes\, but once you receive your route instructions\, you are free to leave. \n\n\n\nFrom the start\, Eureka will head east to Stallion Springs (west of Tehachapi). Besides some fun roads\, the rally will visit the Tehachapi Loop and go through a covered bridge! The rally will be lightly trapped\, with Jeanne expecting most cars to do most legs correctly. You can run it using either the SCCA RRRs or SMSCC’s General Instructions\, there will be an addendum to help make that happen. \n\n\n\nThe rally will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing to the second.   The maximum penalty for Eureka is 1 minute (60 seconds) per leg.
