SUMMARY:OH: NEOhio Cleveland Mural RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Neohio Region of the Sports Car Club of America (Neohio SCCA) invites you to explore a facet of Cleveland’s vibrant public art scene on a self-guided automotive tour of the city’s murals on the Cleveland Mural RoadRally. This event runs as a fundraiser for Slow Roll Cleveland\, a volunteer led organization focused on community engagement through its weekly group bicycle rides. \nAs Clevelanders\, we are fortunate to live in a city that appreciates the arts. One undervalued form of expression is public murals — those large scale artworks painted on exterior walls\, transforming ordinary buildings into vibrant visual landmarks. These murals combine color\, imagery\, and storytelling to reflect the culture\, history\, and identity of our community. The Cleveland Mural Rally is a tour that exposes you to these ‘hidden-in-plain-sight’ gems that adorn our city. \nNeOhio Region of the Sports Car Club of America (Neohio SCCA): Your local home for hands-on “fun with cars” (Road rallies\, Auto-X\, Time Trials\, Rally-X\, Club Racing\, Street Survival Teen Driving Seminars\, etc. neohioscca.com).\nGraffiti HeArt: A vibrant collective empowering street artists (graffitiheart.org)\nSlow Roll Cleveland: Organizers of weekly\, family-friendly\, urban group bicycle rides (slowrollcleveland.org) \nEntry Fee: $25.00 per car. You must register in advance\, and entry will close on July 30th. See the link below for more details on the event and to register your team! \nHow It Works: \n\nThe Team: Each team consists of\, at least\, a driver and a navigator. Additional passengers are welcome!\nThe Mission: Visit as many of Cleveland’s 150+ “hidden-in-plain-sight” murals as possible within a 150-minute time “window”.\nYour Route: All teams will depart at the same time\, and choose their own routes and pace (while observing all applicable traffic laws!). Mural locations are shown on a provided Google Map ( https://tinyurl.com/MuralRally2026 ).\nThe Tracker: All scoring  will be done with a smart phone “app” that automatically logs a team’s arrival at a mural when it passes within a 25 meter radius. Download the free GPS Checkpoint Rally App (advcannonball.com/app).\nThe Photos: Take “selfie” photos with your team and the murals\, then upload them to our shared Google Photos Album. https://tinyurl.com/Mural-Rally-Photos\n\nScoring & Prizes: \n\n+1 Point: For every ‘standard’ mural visited.\n+2 Points: Per designated “special” mural visited.\n+5 Points: For murals located farthest from the start location.\n+10 Points: For visiting Graffiti HeArt and voting for your favorite artwork.\n+5 Points: For uploading a team “selfie” to a group photo album.\n-1 Point per Minute: Penalty for returning after the 150-minute time limit.\n\nAwards will be presented to the teams that accumulate the most points.

SUMMARY:CT: Rally Against Leukemia GTA Charity RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Rally Against Leukemia 2026 is a Game-Tour-Adventure (GTA) Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region. Teams receive a set of route instructions that will take them from Plainville\, CT\, to Stanley Park in Westfield\, MA and then to the finish at Barrington Brewery and Restaurant in Great Barrington\, MA. Along the route\, teams will answer questions based on signs or landmarks that they pass. Awards will be given to the teams with the most correct answers along with a yet to be determined tie-breaker method. \nTeams are not required to answer the questions. They can simply follow the route and enjoy the drive through Central CT and Western MA. Registration and more event information is available at the Event Registration link below! \nAll proceeds from this event will be donated to the UMASS Medical Center to aid with their childhood leukemia research. Contestants are encouraged to collect additional donations from friends and family. Additional donations may be made in cash\, check\, or and we’ll have an online link\, too! \nBecause this is a charity event\, meant for fun rather than serious competition\, the only limitation to the number of occupants in a vehicle is that the total number of occupants per vehicle cannot exceed the number of seat belts available in the vehicle. Appropriate waivers will need to be completed and signed at registration for all occupants. For teams with more than two adults (over age 18)\, it is suggested that in the spirit of the charity nature of the event that an additional monetary donation be made for each additional adult at registration.

SUMMARY:IL: Tulips by Night RoadRally and Social
DESCRIPTION:Tulips by Night 2026 is an evening Monte-Carlo-style Touring RoadRally and social event of about 60 miles\, with the SCCA St. Louis Region. Rallymaster Jim Heine designed the event with the new/occasional rally team in mind. Expect paved rural Madison County\, Ill.\, roads\, easy-to-follow tulip diagrams for route instructions\, and checkpoint locations identified by official mileages and arrival times. Timing will be in minutes and seconds\, with checkpoint arrival times calculated to whole minutes. After the rally\, stick around to enjoy conversation and hospitality at our finish location. \nStart: Troy Park & Ride \nFinish: Vitale’s Hideaway on historic Route 66 (today\, Illinois 4) outside Staunton\, Ill. Vitale’s Hideaway has been a stop at Route 66 and the “Worden Y” since Route 66 was established in the 1920s. A popular nightspot and dance hall in the 1930s\, today it serves as a neighborhood bar and grill\, one that not long ago was featured on the TV reality show “Bar Rescue.” \nSize of the field: We are limiting the field to 25 teams. \nRegistration: Pre-event registration only at MotorsportReg.com via the link below\, where you will also learn more about the rally\, waivers and information on the Richta GPS Checkpoint app. Entries on a first-come basis. Rallymaster Joe Akerman has written a very scenic course using most of the best non-urban portions of Old US 66 still remaining in California. The Rallymaster expects most teams to do most legs correctly. \nWeekend rally headquarters is the Best Western Plus Ontario Airport and Convention Center\, 209 N Vineyard Avenue\, Ontario\, California 91764. (909) 937-6800 hotel direct.  You can use this link for the rally group rate.  As an alternate way to access the group rate\, just cut and paste the following in your browser: www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotel-rooms.05343.html?groupId=P41JA1D4.  Alternate hotels are listed in the Confirmation. \nAlthough we are not sanctioning these events as charity rallies with SCCA\, in honor of our veterans on this Memorial Day\, we are donating a portion of each entry fee to New Directions for Veterans\, a highly rated charity that provides transitional housing\, mental health and substance abuse treatment\, plus job counseling and placement to thousands of homeless veterans here in Southern California.  Check them out at https://ndvets.org/about-us/. \nAll three of these rallies will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring.  The maximum penalty on all three rallies is 30 seconds (1/2 minute) per checkpoint. \nTo register for any or all of these 3 rallies\, please click on the event registration link below. You will also find more detailed information about the rallies and the Richta GPS Checkpoint app. \nEach Entrant must register individually and each will select their correct “group” (driver or navigator). \nThe first person registering should be the entrant registering the vehicle\, choosing the class\, and paying for the entry\, and they should register as 1st Registrant. \nThe other person on the team should then log in separately and should register as 2nd Registrant.  You’ll use the pull-down ‘co-driver picker’ menu to find and select your team partner (who will need to have already registered). \nSchedule of Events:\nFriday\, May 22\, 2026\n18:30 – 21:30 Early Registration and Check-in poolside at the HQ hotel.\nSaturday\, May 23\, 2026 • Thunder Road\n08:00 Check-in opens in the breakfast room.\n08:30 (+ car number) Route Instructions issued.\n10:00 (+ car number) First car out.\n17:00 (approximately) First car to Finish. \nSunday\, May 24\, 2026 • Stagecoach\n08:00 Check-in opens in the breakfast room.\n08:30 (+ car number) Route Instructions issued.\n09:00 (+ car number) First car out.\n15:00 (approximately) First car to Finish. \nMonday\, May 25\, 2026 • Highway Robbery\n08:00 Check-in opens in the breakfast room.\n08:30 (+ car number) Route Instructions issued.\n09:00 (+ car number) First car out.\n14:00 (approximately) First car to Finish. \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Fees\n\nEntry fee for pre-entry is $65 per car per rally. SUMMARY:IN: More Scrambled Legs Road Rally\, Evansville
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Southern Indiana Region kicks off their rally season on Sunday\, March 8th\, with More Scrambled Legs. The event will start from Hardee’s in Evansville\, and Rallymaster Bob Sonntag encourages you to arrive a little early if this is your first rally or first rally in a long time.; there will be some brief tutoring to make your day more fun!\n\nHere’s the link to information and registration in MSR:  https://msreg.com/2026-RALLY-1. Preregistration is required; there is no onsite registration. Drivers register first and then the Navigator. Please\, do not bring someone who is not registered. Guests should use the SpeedWaiver process during registration.\n\nThe route is all paved. Nearly all of it nicely paved. There’s spot about 40 feet long of “tough winter” and it’s not a problem.\n\nThose with good memories may remember last year’s Scrambled Legs and this second helping is a different take on much of that route.  Oh sure\, there’s a visit to Buente Road\, a touch of Trapp Road\, a little counting of Opps at Ts\, some loops\, and one other little thing to see who will drop shell into their omelet.\n\nAdjustments have been made for the 90s that aren’t “CASTable.”\n\nWith breaks & no mistakes\, the route runs about 97 miles and will take about 3.25 hours to get to Los Bravos on Evansville’s west side.\n\nJoin us and see if\, as a friend put it\, if this rally is all it’s cracked up to be.\n\n\n\n\n

Interested teams can find more information at winterchaallengerally.com. \nRally Philosophy: \nWINTER CHALLENGE RALLY (WC) is not a ‘trap rally; it has a couple of thinking situations in Section 1) – don’t overthink every NRI. There will be 15-20 Regularity Sections (RS) throughout the day (night).  The controls at the start of Regularity Sections are called CZT’s (Car Zero Time); you should self-start (at 1 minute intervals) at your start time. No penalties will accrue at these controls. Within the RS’s\, starting at the CZT\, there will be timed portions (Legs). \nYou will be penalized for every SECOND you arrive early or late at timing control points in these Legs. There may be multiple controls in each timed portion (leg). After the last timing CP or the notation “End Regularity timing” (whichever comes first)\, there are no controls and competitors can travel at their own pace. Driving normally\, you should get to the start of the next RS 2 minutes before your RESTART time.  The Route Instructions will show the RESTART time for Car 0. Your Richta phone will show your ideal RESTART time.

SUMMARY:• May the 4th Be With You Episode 2 RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Buccaneer Region’s most successful road rally is back! This time with more prizes\, more trivia\, and a route that follows Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones movie! \nNew for 2025!\nPrizes for best dressed or costume\, best decorated car\, best wookiee roar impression\, highest trivia score\, and more!\nEach team will be tasked with tracking down Padmé’s attempted assassin by traversing the busy streets of Coruscant. Then track the mysterious bounty hunter to Kamino where you’ll discover the droid army the Federation has been manufacturing in secret. After that\, it’s on to Geonosis where you’ll have to escape the Reek\, Acklay\, and Nexu before engaging in a lightsaber battle with Count Duku. After a battle well fought\, you’ll finally report back to the Jedi Council – for awards\, prizes\, and event wrap-up. \nThis event is an SCCA TSD (time-speed-distance) Road Rally\, where each vehicle will drive on paved public roads\, following a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Richta GPS Checkpoints mobile application. Participants will be scored based on their arrival time at each of the defined checkpoints. We will start at Panera\, located near downtown Jacksonville\, where cars will depart every 1 minute. The finish will be a sit-down restaurant at the Saint Johns Town Center\, where scoring\, awards\, and lunch will be available (you are responsible for purchasing your food; we encourage everyone to eat and support the location). \nNew to road rally or unsure what they’re all about? Below are some examples of the types of setups used in each class. \n\nStock: Using your vehicle’s stock trip/odometer\, smartphone as a calculator\, and a stopwatch (perhaps the same or another smartphone). This is the most common class and recommended for novices.\nLimited: Using the car’s built in navigation system to show distance traveled\, a 3rd party GPS tracking system via mobile app (i.e. Richta Odometer\, Maps\, or a Odometer/Trip app)\, as long as that information isn’t transferable to the calculating device (i.e. can’t be the same smartphone running the app and calculations).\nSOP: Just your odometer\, pens/pencils\, stopwatch\, and gut instincts. No calculator of any kind.\n\nOnline registration for the driver and navigator is required at Motorsportreg.com! \nStarting Location: Panera Bread\nFinishing Location: Chuy’s\, 4914 Town Center Pkwy\, Jacksonville\, FL\nRegistration Fee: $30 for SCCA members\, $50 for non-SCCA members (Weekend Membership required)\nEstimated Duration: 35 miles\, 1.5 – 2hrs in duration (depending on traffic conditions in Coruscant and Geonosis)\, breaks are allowed along the way at your leisure.\nRequired Equipment: A Dedicated smartphone with the Richta GPS Checkpoint mobile app; the phone cannot be used while the rally is active. SUMMARY:WI: Pierce County Navigational RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Land O’ Lakes Region hosts the  Pierce County Navigational RoadRally. \nThis is a UK-style Map rally. You are given a map and instructions to plot on it. It is based on the MMW we did 10 or 15 years ago. This one is unique in that all controls are in the same spot. It was originally a plot and bash\, but now you can pre-plot. These are a lot of fun and challenge your plotting and charting (navigational) skills rather than precise driving.

SUMMARY:OH: Ohio Winter RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2025 Ohio Winter Rally (OWR) on February 1! This annual hivernal tour of the Lake Erie “snowbelt” counties of far northeastern Ohio dates back to at least 1966. It was one of the core events of the long-lamented Ohio Rally Championship (ORC) series. \n\n\n\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally\, with an emphasis on precise timing at well-placed controls. Columnar “tulip” style route instructions\, with Official Mileages for all action points (similar to a stage rally routebook)\, will be used. The ~165-mile route will wind through Ohio’s Geauga\, Ashtabula\, and surrounding counties. \n\n\n\nPrevailing road and weather conditions will dictate the rally’s difficulty. Competitors should come prepared to spend extended periods outside in severe winter conditions.  \n\n\n\nTo help teams with limited prior timekeeping experience stay on schedule and to mitigate the possibility of “double jeopardy” penalties from carrying a timing error through multiple controls\, parenthetical perfect cumulative leg times will be provided at all speed change locations. This will be done through the Richta GPS Checkpoints app\, available as a free download for your smart device. \n\n\n\nRegistration and more information are available on motorsportreg.com. However\, it is important to note that there will be no on-site registration\, and online registration closes on Wednesday\, January 29th. \n\n\n\nThe rally will count toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division (GLD) Rally Championship and the SCCA National Touring Rally (NTR) Championship (Divisional Rally). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.
