DESCRIPTION:It is once again time to enjoy the winter roads of the Southern Tier with the Finger Lakes Region’s 2023 Winter Rally Series. DESCRIPTION:The Finger Lakes Region Mayer May Not Be Slippy RoadRally is a 185-mile road rally on paved and unpaved roads through Erie\, Wyoming\, Cattaraugus\, and Allegany counties. In keeping with the Winter Rally Series format\, this is an evening TSD rally run at speeds within the local speed limits. \n\n\n\nSnow tires are recommended (all-season tires may limit your speed group eligibility)Tow rope/strap and 90 minutes of flares or one DOT triangle are required to compete. \n\n\n\nThe Rally starts at Mighty Taco Restaurant and will finish at Wallenwein’s Hotel\, 641 Oakwood Avenue\, East Aurora\, NY 14052. \n\n\n\n$45/car plus $15 for each non-SCCA member in the carEquipped\, Limited\, Stock\, and Novice classesInstead of using open (manned) controls as is typical for the FLR Winter Rally Series\, this event will use the Richta GPS Checkpoint system for timing and scoring. \n\n\n\nSchedule \n\n\n\n\nCheck-in and Tech Inspection: 2:30 – 3:30 PM\n\n\n\nDriver’s Meeting: 3:40 PM\n\n\n\nFirst car off: 4:01 PM\n\n\n\nFirst car finish: approx. 10:00 PM\n\n\n\n\nFor additional information\, contact Rallymaster Karl Mayer.

SUMMARY:VT: Winter Challenge RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The long-awaited Winter Challenge Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region\, by Rallymaster John Buffum. We encourage you to check the Winter Challenge Road Rally website for more information.   \n\n\n\nThe Winter Challenge Rally weekend\, presented by Vermont SportsCar\, will consist of a single SCCA New England Region rally running from 4 pm Saturday until 1 am Sunday with two breaks. Although no car-breaking roads will be used\, most of the roads chosen are rural\, unpaved roads\, which will undoubtedly be snow and ice-covered.  \n\n\n\nFor 2023\, the anticipated classes may be: \n\n\n\n\nClass A    Calculating equipment may receive direct input from a mileage-measuring device. Typical calculating devices in this Class include Alfa\, Chronar\, Timewise\, and Zeron rally computers.\n\n\n\nClass L    If distance information is acquired only from a mechanical odometer\, it must be manually fed into any calculation device; the distance measuring device must be separate from the calculation device.  (e.g. Curta calculators\, tables\, laptop computers\, electronic APP\, programmable and nonprogrammable electronic calculators. If the distance information is derived solely from GPS signals\, then any electronic APP may be used.\n\n\n\nClass S   Distance information must be visually acquired from the vehicle’s stock\, non-adjustable odometer in the stock location.
