DESCRIPTION:Escape to Wisconsin Road Rally is a Navigational Scatter (NavScat) sanctioned by the SCCA Land O’Lakes Region. For SCCA purposes\, it is sanctioned as a GTA. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps\, and this distance is how you will be scored. There is a 30-mile penalty for each one you miss. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you by all of them. Although a map has been provided\, you may also use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route.  \n\n\n\nSign-in time is 11 AM\, and Plotting begins at Noon. You have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. SUMMARY:WI: Spring Classic RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Spring Classic Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Land O’ Lakes Region\, starts and ends in Prescott\, WI. The rally is 112 miles and should take around four hours to complete. Along the way you will see the mighty Mississippi and stop in at the Ellsworth Creamery\, the Cheese Curd Capitol of WI. \n\n\n\nWe are celebrating 100 years of MGs. SUMMARY:MN: Minnesota Valley Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:The course for this SCCA Land o’ Lakes Region is mostly unpaved roads traversing the Minnesota River Valley. By late March the roads could be dry\, mud\, snow or any combination. Be prepared. \n\n\n\nSunset at 7:32 PM so part of the Minnesota Valley Winter Rally will be at night but mostly daylight. External night lighting will not be required but it would’t hurt on older cars\, interior lights will be very useful.  \n\n\n\nWe advise bringing winter gear (boots\, hat\, gloves\, etc) and a blanket in case you have car trouble. A small shovel or two would be a good idea if it is still snowy. \n\n\n\nPhilosophy  \n\n\n\nThis event will not have nearly as many timing points (TP) as others we have done. We have located the TP at traditional locations used when we had to have humans work. We have thrown in a few extra at places we always wanted to put one as well. The first section we are calling the prairie stage. It’s one long stage of about 25 miles with no links. The terrain is rather flat with the interest coming via many 90 degree turns followed by a TP. From there we head down to the Minnesota River starting with the famous Salisbury Hill control before ending the first part in Henderson where you can exchange stories at the Shell station. \n\n\n\nFrom there we follow the traditional course through the tributary valleys. After a brief run up the Minnesota River Scenic Byway before one last stage before ending at Sticks. \n\n\n\nMVWR uses the MiRally GPS timing and scoring system. The advantage being contestants get to use the Rabbit Rally Digital Roadbook and rally computer on their smartphone and or tablet. SUMMARY:MN: Land O' Lakes Region Flamethrower Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Flamethrower Rally is a Regularity Rally run in MN part of the Driftless area. The course traverses the Valleys flowing into the Mississippi River\, taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nOnly two people are allowed in the car. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is required. A smart phone with built in GPS will make it a lot easier and more fun. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021 and 2022. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event. It’s a Rally Computer app that does all the work for you to stay on time. \n\n\n\nRabbit Rally Info \n\n\n\nEntry fee is $40/car\, and another $15 for Weekend Membership if you are not an SCCA Member.In-person sign-in starts at 2:00PM\, First car out at 3:31PMLength: 5 hours\, 137 miles \n\n\n\nIt is recommended that you have Winter rated tires. Speed shall have no impact whatsoever on the classification. Regularity Zones (RZs) shall be set up where participants have to follow the established average speed and stay close to the ideal time throughout the route. Time penalties shall be handed down as points. The winner shall be the competitor with the fewest points at the end of the rally. The details of the itinerary and the various controls shall be set out in the time card.  \n\n\n\nAll registration material will be either online or emailed to you so you can fill out before arrival. The exception is the SCCA Waiver which we must witness.

SUMMARY:MN: Land 'O Lakes Yucatan Winter Safari RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Yucatan Safari\, sanctioned by the SCCA Land ‘o Lakes Region\, is a 200-mile TSD day/night road rally traversing the high-quality gravel roads through the hardwood forests of SE MN. The rally will start in Winona and wind through Winona\, Fillmore\, and Houston counties before returning to Winona. The simple instruction format makes it a good event for newcomers and experts. SUMMARY:PA: Ghost Tracks GTA Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Ghost Tracks GTA Rally is sanctioned by the SCCA Allegheny Highlands Sports Car Club and was upgraded to a National GTA Rally.  \n\n\n\nGhost Tracks is a shortest-distance rally\, an untimed RoadRally following an undefined route. Instead of the usual route instructions and timing controls\, contestants are given a map and a list of waypoints to be visited. Contestants receive penalty points for each 0.10 mile traversed during the rally. Thus\, the goal is to visit all the required sites (waypoints) in the allotted time while traversing the shortest distance possible. These waypoints may be visited in any order of your choosing after leaving the start control and before you arrive at the finish control. Unlimited use of additional maps\, GPS\, Waze\, etc.\, is permitted.  \n\n\n\nThe available roads are all public roads in and bordering Indiana County\, PA. Typical fall foliage and scenery should be superb as you travel on many roads most of you will have never seen before. Each team (minimum of two people) will use their maps and waypoint list to plot a course and may drive at whatever legal speeds are comfortable for them. Six hours are allotted to complete the rally\, but it should take less time. Awards for best overall finishing position(s) and best finishing position of any team with no prior experience with the shortest distance rally. \n\n\n\nIf you prefer a shorter version\, please consider our As The Crow Flies on the same day. Register for Ghost Tracks at Motorsportreg today and try this rally style. \n\n\n\nEntrants can approach the waypoint from any direction and be assured that the transponder provided by the Rally Committee will confirm their arrival at the waypoint. Mileage will be zeroed at the Start Control and frozen at the Finish Control\, having accumulated all of the mileage the transponder has traversed. This total mileage will be the final score after adding a penalty of fifteen miles for each waypoint not attained if applicable. The shortest distance wins.  \n\n\n\nThis will be the first of its kind and requires no equipment\, not even a cell phone. The rally is intended to be a model for other Regions to host a rally that requires minimal effort on the part of a Rally Committee. Rallymaster Bruce Gezon strongly believes that the format may become a preferred rally type.
