The course pits you against the same fun and challenging driving weather conditions in Flamethrower\, but includes a mix of paved & gravel roads sure to keep you on your toes! You may expect to encounter sandy areas\, snow\, and possibly some ice. “Alligator Slide” refers to a classic driftless-area rally road that hasn’t been run in many years- until now! \n\n\n\nWhen both are out rallying\, they are rivals\, yet Rallymaster Ted Rurup is sharing this weekend with Tyler Linner and the Flamethrower Road Rally\, which runs on Saturday\, February 22nd. The course takes advantage of the elevation changes\, natural twisty gravel backroads\, and challenging winter conditions in the valleys flowing into the Mississippi River. Road conditions can range from frozen gravel to snow and even some ice. \n\n\n\nThis year\, we will also enjoy several very twisty single-lane minimum-maintenance roads! No ground clearance issues were found while prerunning with a stock economy car. “Flamethrower” refers to Lucas Flamethrower’s driving lights because much of this rally will be held at dusk and nighttime! \n\n\n\nWhen both are out rallying\, they are rivals\, yet Rallymaster Tyler Linner shares this weekend with Ted Rurup and the Alligator Slide Rally\, which runs on Sunday\, February 23rd. SUMMARY:MN: Grumpy Old Men GTA Navigational Scatter
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Land O’ Lakes Region continues its Yucatan Safari weekend with the Grumpy Old Men National GTA RoadRally\,  a navigational scatter. Navigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time. We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps\, and this distance is how you will be scored. \n\n\n\nThe rally will be mainly in Wabasha County\, home of the Grumpy Old Men movies. It’s too bad the event isn’t in February when you could attend the Grumpy Old Men Festival. The National Eagle Center is also in Wabasha. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you to the specified number of them. Although a map has been provided\, you may also use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route. The route between the points offers many options. \n\n\n\nYour team will have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. This includes some extra time in case you make mistakes along the way. Your score is the total miles from start to end. \n\n\n\nThere is a 30-mile penalty for each waypoint you miss that is less than the specified number. So\, if we say you must go through 15 of 20\, you are penalized for only doing 14.  \n\n\n\nRegistration is $40 per vehicle\, and a Weekend Membership is available if neither crew member is an SCCA member. SUMMARY:WI: Coulee Classic Tour Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Chippewa Trail Weekend! This year\, we have two events: the Coulee Classic National Tour Road Rally on Saturday and the Chippewa Trail National GTA Rally on Sunday. \n\n\n\nCoulee Classic is a tour through the paved roads of Coulee country in SW Wisconsin\, especially Buffalo County. Speeds will be brisk.  \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, you will pass through Elmwood (the UFO capital of WI)\, which will be celebrating UFO days. The usual Coulee Classic roads\, such as Center Creek\, Mike Varanick\, and McDonough\, provide great regularities. This year\, you also get to run the Waumandee Hill Climb course. \n\n\n\nLunch is at the Silvermoon near Alma WI. We will provide a hosted lunch to speed up mealtime. \n\n\n\nFrom the organizers: “The Coulee Classic was a traditional rally run in Buffalo County and put on by the Alfa Club. It ended at the Stone Barn pizza (which you will pass). This version ends at Lucette Brewing\, which also has great wood-fired pizza and beer and soft drinks. \n\n\n\nBoth Chippewa Trail Weekend rallies will use the MiRally GPS system for timing and scoring. SUMMARY:WI: Escape To Wisconsin Navigational Scatter
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Land of Lakes Region’s first Navigational Scatter (NavScat). For SCCA purposes\, it is sanctioned as a GTA (Games Touring Adventure). After this scatter rally\, we will be caravaning to Wisconsin Dells on our way to our final destination\, the Badger Burrow Divisional Tour\, in Fitchburg\, WI\, on Sunday. If you plan to run Badger Burrow\, you must pre-register\, as It fills quickly. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders.
