SUMMARY:WI: Spring Scamper Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Milwaukee Region is delighted to announce that the Spring Scamper car rally is scheduled for Sunday\, July 27\, 2025. This 130-mile rally will start and finish in Verona\, Wisconsin\, 10 miles southwest of Madison\, and will explore the scenic country roads northwest of Madison.\n\n   This year’s event will follow a brand-new route\, crossing the Wisconsin River to explore the great roads in Sauk County\, Wisconsin.\n\n   Spring Scamper is a charity fundraiser for the Dane County Humane Society. This great organization provides care and finds “furever” homes for thousands of dogs\, cats\, and other animals every year. Your rally entry will help support their work.\n\n   The entry fee is $20 per person\, and a minimum of two people are required per car. Any type of street-legal vehicle is permitted\, and you do not have to be a member of the Sports Car Club of America. Registration is now open at msreg.com/SpringScamper2025.  There is a 30-car limit\, so don’t delay in getting registered today!\n\n   There will be four classes: Computer\, Calculating\, SOP (Seat of the Pants)\, and First Timer. For more information\, please visit our registration page. Scoring will use the Mojo GPS checkpoint system to record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  Once you register\, you’ll receive information on how to download a custom app (Mojo Competitor) to your smartphone.\n\n   Laser-engraved Pilsner glasses will be awarded as trophies to the top teams in each Class.\n\n   Bring that car you love to drive and explore new roads with us. SUMMARY:WI: Spring Scamper RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee Region SCCA will host the 2024 Spring Scamper car rally on Sunday\, April 7th. You’re invited to join us for this new 100+ mile\, 4+ hour rally around Madison\, WI. No prior rally experience is necessary\, and any type of street-legal car is welcome. You do not have to be a member of SCCA to participate. \n\n\n\nRallymaster Jim Crittenden has designed a rally course that will take you on a scenic tour of the country roads south of Madison. This is not a race; it’s a game of precision driving where you’ll be challenged to arrive at each checkpoint at exactly the right time. Penalty points are assigned for being too fast or too slow. Trophies will be awarded to the teams with the best performances. There are no unpaved roads on the course.   \n\n\n\nYou’ll need a rally partner (Driver and Navigator) and a smartphone. The entry fee is $20 per person; two people are required in each car. Pre-registration is required; no walk-ins on the day of the event. This is a charity fundraiser for the Dane County Humane Society. This organization finds ‘furever’ homes for thousands of animals every year as well as providing emergency animal care for a variety of animals\, including dogs\, cats\, birds\, and other wildlife. Your entry fee will help support their efforts. Click here for more information about DCHS. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Competitor—Richta GPS Checkpoint app system. The Richta GPS Checkpoint app will run on your smartphone\, record your arrival time at each checkpoint\, and then report your leg score immediately to you. No more waiting until the rally is over to see your score! You will need to bring a smartphone to run this rally. \n\n\n\nClasses for Spring Scamper:  \n\n\n\n1st Timer – No one in the car has run a road rally before. No math or timing calculations allowed. \n\n\n\nSOP (Seat Of the Pants) – No math or timing calculations allowed. No apps that continually report how early or late you are. Use speedometer to judge speed. \n\n\n\nCalculating – May use a device or an app to calculate earliness or lateness\, but rally computers are not allowed. Cars using Rabbit Rally app or Richta Simple Rally Computer app must run in Calculating Class. \n\n\n\nRally check-in opens at 10:30 AM. 1st car starts at 12:01 PM. \n\n\n\n1st car finishes at 4:30 PM at the Stone Porch Ale House\, Verona\, WI. \n\n\n\nGrab a partner and that car you love to drive and come celebrate Spring with us on Sunday\, April 7th\, in Madison. A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations. Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180-mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone to run this event. If you plan to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device; the Richta GPS Competitor app needs to be the only app running on your phone during the rally. \n\n\n\nThis is a tour-type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region SCCA invites you to come run the 11th Annual Badger Burrow Tour Rallye. The event is a brisk run through Wisconsin’s driftless and moraine region\, mainly in Green County. The glaciers skipped this area during the last ice age\, leaving behind a terrain filled with valleys and ridges. The course takes full advantage of the region. Expect many curves\, ups and downs\, and paved roads that are seldom straight. Many say these are among the best sports car roads in the country. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Checkpoints automatic timing and scoring system. Contestants are expected to provide an Android or Apple smartphone capable of running this app. The app times you into the hidden controls and automatically provides you with a running score. DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the Spring Scamper Car Rally in Madison\, Wisconsin. This 120 mile\, 4 hour time-speed-distance (TSD) rally will take you through the country roads southwest of Madison. You and your rally partner will enjoy the marvelous roads that are fun to drive and the great scenery on this SCCA Milwaukee Region rally. This is a “Tour” type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. The route instructions are easy to follow and the challenge is to arrive at each checkpoint at the correct time. An SOP class is provided for contestants who do not want to calculate or do any math. \n\n\n\nThe rally course\, by Rallymaster Jim Crittenden\, is all new for 2023. You’ll explore new roads as you follow the clues and try to arrive at each checkpoint at exactly the right time. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Richta GPS checkpoint app system. The Richta GPS checkpoint app will run on your smartphone\, will record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then report your leg score immediately to you. No more waiting until the rally is over to see your score! You will need to bring a smartphone in order to run this rally. \n\n\n\nThis rally is a charity fund raiser for Best Friends Animal Society. All profits will go to support their animal rescue work. Following their motto “Help Save Them All\,” Best Friends works with animal rescue organizations around the country to find “furever homes” for thousands of homeless animals. DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region of the Sports Car Club of America invites you to join us for the Spring Scamper car rally on Sunday\, April 3\, 2022\, in Madison\, Wisconsin. You’ll have lunch in New Glarus (home to Spotted Cow) and then an afternoon break in Monroe\, WI. The rally course features new roads that haven’t been used on previous rallies.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Checkpoint – Richta GPS app for timing and scoring. This app will run on your smartphone (it’s required that you bring one) and will announce your score immediately at each checkpoint. You can use this instant feedback to learn how to improve your scores as the rally progresses. \n\n\n\nThis year’s Spring Scamper will be a charity event for the Dane County Humane Society. SUMMARY:WI: Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this five hour\, 110-mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nStart and finish location:  Nagawaukee Shopping Center\, just north of I-94 at the HWY 83 exit\, Delafield. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens at 9:00 AM. The first car departs at 11:01 AM\, and we anticipate the first car finished at approximately 4:15 PM. \n\n\n\nCost:  $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event.
