DESCRIPTION:The GREAT RACE is June 22 to June 30\, 2024\, from Owensboro\, Kentucky\, to Gardiner\, Maine\, traveling through Kentucky\, Indiana\, Ohio\, West Virginia\, Maryland\, Virginia\, Pennsylvania\, New York\, Connecticut\, Rhode Island\, Massachusetts\, New Hampshire\, and Maine. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Great Race organization is based in Chattanooga\, TN. This rally is well publicized and will use social media for all to “travel along” with the teams. They also invite everyone to their stopover towns to view the cars and talk with the teams! \n\n\n\nRReNews Note: At the time of posting\, we did not have the address for the Veteran’s Boulevard start\, yet our calendar required an addy. DESCRIPTION:Experience Colorado in the summertime with this week-long car rally. It will take you and your rally partner on an adventure trip through the Colorado Rocky Mountains. No prior rally experience is required\, and any street-legal car is welcome. Bring that car you love to drive and explore the beauty of Colorado with us. \n\n\n\nThe Colorado Adventure Rally is co-Hosted by the Sports Car Club of America Continental Divide and Colorado Regions. \n\n\n\nChair and Rallymaster: Jim CrittendenSCCA precheck and safety steward: Steve Gaddy  \n\n\n\nThe 2024 Colorado Adventure Rally is not a race. It is a time-speed- distance (TSD) rally where the game is precision driving\, maintaining an assigned average speed (never above the legal speed limit)\, and arriving at multiple checkpoints at precisely the right time. You’ll be assigned penalty points for being too fast or slow at each checkpoint. Trophies will be awarded to the teams with the fewest penalty points. \n\n\n\nThe rally route includes both paved and unpaved roads. Approximately 25% of the route is unpaved. All of the roads on the rally can be safely traversed by any street-legal car. This is a Regional Tour rally\, so there are no tricks or traps\, just easy-to-follow route instructions\, gorgeous scenery\, and roads that are great fun to drive. \n\n\n\nColorado Adventure Rally ItinerarySunday\, June 23\, 2024: Rally from Denver to Glenwood Springs\, CO. \n\n\n\nCheck-in at Glenwood Hotel for two nights. \n\n\n\nMonday\, June 24: Free day for activities in Glenwood Springs. Your choices include Glenwood Hot Springs Pool\, Glenwood Adventure Park\, Yampah Spa and Vapor Caves\, whitewater rafting on the Colorado River\, visiting nearby Aspen\, riding the Aspen Silver Queen gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain\, and the Lost Forest in Snowmass. \n\n\n\nTuesday\, June 25: Rally from Glenwood Springs to Ouray\, CO. Check in at the Ouray hotel for two nights. \n\n\n\nWednesday\, June 26: Free day for activities in Ouray. Choices include Jeep rental to drive the 4X4 trails\, driving the Million Dollar Highway over Red Mountain Pass to Silverton and Durango\, and hot springs pools. \n\n\n\nThursday\, June 27: Rally from Ouray to Buena Vista\, CO. Check-in at Buena Vista hotel for two nights. \n\n\n\nFriday\, June 28: Free day for activities in Buena Vista. Choices include whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River\, float trip (no rapids) on the Arkansas River\, hot springs pool. \n\n\n\nSaturday\, June 29: Rally from Buena Vista to Denver via Pikes Peak. Awards dinner Saturday evening in Denver. \n\n\n\nRegistration: Register online at MSReg.com/ColoradoAdventureRally2024 $1495/team (2 people required in each car). Add $100 if neither team member is an SCCA member. \n\n\n\nHotels: We will arrange a group discount rate at a hotel in each city (Denver\, Glenwood Springs\, Ouray\, Buena Vista). You’ll make your own hotel reservations but are not obligated to stay at the rally hotels. The cost of hotels is not included in the rally registration fee. We expect your hotel costs for 6 nights to be around $1600. \n\n\n\nActivities: On the three activity days\, we’ll provide a list of activities for you to choose from. The cost of these activities is not included in the rally registration fee\, allowing you complete flexibility of choice. \n\n\n\nCars: Any type of street-legal car is permitted. All rally roads can be traversed by any type of car. \n\n\n\nRally experience: No prior rally experience is required. SUMMARY:OR: 35th Annual Northwest Classic Car Challenge
DESCRIPTION:In 2023\, the 34th Annual Northwest Classic Car Challenge\, held close to its roots\, featuring a classic TSD (time-speed-distance) road rally complete with MRDs/TRAPS\, rigorous course following (using OR and ITIS instructions)\, and added a relaxed Tour rally. Both travel wonderful twisty backroads from Portland\, OR to Eugene\, Oregon\, over two days of driving. And\, of course\, the Beer Wash — a chance to wash vehicles and refreshments! \n\n\n\nStay tuned to for more details from the Alfa-Romeo Owners of Oregon on the 2024 event.
