DESCRIPTION:The ARC of Buffalo County Road Rally is designed as an easy\, fun\, family or friends event. It is just like a scavenger hunt but on wheels! There can be between 2-4 people on each team.\nInstructions\, and locations are given to you at the start line. Go to all of the locations on your sheet\, complete the challenges\, take a group photo or video\, and try to be the first one back! Every team must have a camera or phone that they can use to take a picture or video of the team completing each challenge.  \nThe Road Rally will be held Sunday\, April 12th. Registration will open at 12:00pm. The first car will leave at 2 pm from the Viaero Event Center. \nThe registration fee is $30.00 per team for pre-registration or $40.00 per team for day of registration. You may pay on the day of the race with cash\, check\, or credit card or you can send cash or check to The Arc office at 4511 6th Ave Ste. 204 Kearney\, NE 68845. Winner will be the car closest to the pre determined time. $10 entry fee per rider (using a navigator is HIGHLY reccomended). You will be given a text map with vague directions to figure out how to get to each checkpoint. DESCRIPTION:Come out and enjoy some of the finest back-road driving the Philadelphia-area countryside has to offer. This evening road rally will flow through many of the hills\, valleys and riverside areas that Bucks County has hidden away.\nAlong this rally\, you will encounter gravel roads\, covered bridges\, abundant wildlife\, and many scenic routes. The roads are nearly as twisted as the rallymaster. This rally doesn’t include JUST driving–be prepared for puzzles and trivia. This is going to be one of the more challenging rallies we’ve hosted over the last few seasons and there will be no classes for this event. \nPlease note that this event will be held under Social Rally rules and will not count towards SCCA points. \nRegistration will open at approximately 5:00 PM followed by our mandatory driver meeting at about 5:45 PM (the exact times may be adjusted slightly as the route gets adjusted). \nThis rally will take a little over 2.5 hours to complete and will end up in the vicinity of Ottsville\, PA. \nThere are only 15 spots available for this event\, you want to register right away!

Teams will receive authentic 1953 Mobilgas maps and written instructions about which portions of the original 1100-mile GAMR route to follow. The next morning\, drivers will start their engines\, and navigators will guide them northward through Vermont to the Canadian border\, southward to New Hampshire\, and then back over the Vermont border to the finish line. Rally officials will throw the checkered flag on Sunday\, October 14\, 2018\, at Hemmings Motor News in Bennington\, Vermont. \n“This is an extraordinary event that will celebrate the way rallies used to be\,” said Rally Chairman Steve McKelvie. “Although it’s not a typical rally\, the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) has sanctioned the event as a New England Regional Rally.” \nThe original GAMR\, described in April 1956 by Auto Age as “America’s longest\, toughest\, and coldest rallye\,” was the first U.S. rally listed by Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). It attracted local amateurs\, top drivers from American car clubs\, automotive factory teams\, and driving celebrities. \nThe Rootes Motors team in 1953 and 1954 entered top British driver Sheila van Damm. In 1954\, Formula 1 racer Stirling Moss competed. In 1956\, F1 Champion Juan Manuel Fangio served as the official starter\, throwing the green flag; and Monte Carlo Rally winner Maurice Gatsonides was a contender. Only roads appearing on these maps will be included. All teams will be restricted to equipment similar to that used in original GAMRs: \n• Rally odometers with up to 2 distance displays are permitted; rally computers providing average speed information are not allowed\, except for Halda Speedpilots.• Mechanical calculators and slide rules are permitted; electronic calculators are not.• Paper speed tables are permitted; electronic speed tables are not.• Clocks and stopwatches are permitted without restriction.• GPS mapping assists are not permitted. \nAt the 2018 finish line\, 1st\, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded in 3 classes: \n• Original: Cars that could have competed in 1950s GAMRs (model year 1957 or older)• Classic: Cars of model years 1958-1980• Modern: Cars of model years 1981 or newer \nGary Hamilton\, a land surveyor from Ipswich\, Massachusetts\, and Steve McKelvie\, a civil engineer from Franklin\, Massachusetts\, collaborated to recreate the 2018 GAMR Revival as authentically as possible. Original rules required entrants to use written instructions and 1953 Mobilgas Maps. \nArmed with the above information—as well as Google Earth© and Garmin Basecamp© software—Hamilton developed the route into a map. The original GAMR rallies were modeled on Europe’s grueling classic rallies\, and Hamilton and McKelvie continued with this approach: “Why go to Europe when you can do a European-style rally here?” asks McKelvie.

DESCRIPTION:The Cat 22 Monopoly© RoadRally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Steel Cities Region\, may be run any of the five days at your leisure or on the afternoon of the 30th if you wish to see some of the other cars in competition. All answers must be submitted for those running leisurely by email before 11:00 am on the 30th. \n\n\n\nCat 22 Monopoly© Rally will run on approximately 50 miles of paved roads in Westmoreland County. Scenery is superb as you travel on many roads most of you will have never seen before. Each team (minimum of two people) will use their Route Instructions to follow the course and may drive at whatever legal speeds are comfortable for them. Three hours is allotted for completing the rally but it may take less time. You will observe signs and landmarks along the right hand side of the route to proceed around the Monopoly© game board and total up your money. Scores will be based upon the accuracy of your total at the end. \n\n\n\nRegistration: On Sunday\, December 30th\, registration opens at 12:30P\, located inside Panera Bread on US 22 in Murrysville\, PA. The rally will finish at the same location and Car#1 is anticipated back about 431P. Please thank the Panera Staff for their gracious hospitality in providing a gathering place. \n\n\n\nEntry Fees: The entry fee will be $30 per car\, with 50% of the funds going to the Autism Society of Pittsburgh. DESCRIPTION:Everyone feels great about giving during the holidays\, but what happens when we get into the depths of winter after the New Year? It’s cold\, it’s dark\, but people are still hungry. The SCCA Philadelphia Region says let’s break out some cars and drive for a good cause. The 2019 Food Drive Road Rally is limited to 15 teams. We maxed out of the last rally so sign up early! We absolutely will not be able to exceed the limit of entrants. \n\n\n\nThis charity road rally will take you through some amazing back roads in Montgomery and Berks Counties to help you scratch that driving itch that builds up during the offseason. Your entry fee will be 10 donation-appropriate food items. \n\n\n\nThis year’s beneficiary will be the Bucks County Housing Group. \n\n\n\nFOOD BANK DONATIONS NEEDED: \n\n\n\n\nProtein: Canned meats such as tuna\, chicken\, and salmon. Beans\, canned or dried. Split peas and lentils. Peanut butter.\n\n\n\nGrain: Pasta\, rice\, or quinoa. Oatmeal or breakfast cereals (whole grain or low sugar).\n\n\n\nDairy: Shelf stable milk\, non-fat dried powder milk\, or dry-grated Parmesan cheese.\n\n\n\nPrepared meals: Pasta sauces\, stews\, canned pasta\, baked beans\, or Mac & Cheese. SUMMARY:WI: Belleville Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The annual Belleville Road Rally is this Saturday\, November 7th. \n\n\n\nSafety measures are being put in place to protect everyone from COVID. There will be NO large group gatherings. The only folks the majority of you will come in contact with are the members of your own car. Clues will only need to be picked up by one member of the car. Of all the stops\, only two are indoor and there will be no requirements to stay.  \n\n\n\nAs always\, if possible\, we ask that you patronize any business that you can – especially during these trying times. Additionally\, we request that masks be worn if you come in contact with anyone outside of your vehicle. As for game pieces – all cars will be provided a couple of pairs of latex gloves to use when grabbing each piece. \n\n\n\nSo pack your snacks\, charge your phones\, and meet in the Sugar River Lanes parking lot on Saturday morning. SUMMARY:IL: Famous Puzzler Rallye
DESCRIPTION:A knock out\, crazy fun event where you solve puzzles that lead you to locations to look for a secret hidden word. No rally experience is necessary. Just an all out puzzle quest. \n\n\n\nThe Famous Puzzler Rallye has drawn over 1000 participants since its inception and has donated over $25\,000 to worthwhile charities. We will continue that tradition and handover 90% of all proceeds to worthwhile charitable organizations from this year’s event.  \n\n\n\nYou solve a puzzle\, then drive to the point on the map with the corresponding number of the puzzle answer. Once there\, you look for hidden clues. The one that gets the most puzzles and clues correct wins! A first time rallyists won one year\, so everyone has a legitimate chance. \n\n\n\nThe Pre-Registration entry fee is $25 and is encouraged\, so click here and Register today! Registration at Garibaldi’s Italian Eatery is at Noon on the day of the event and it will be $30. The cars start departing at 1:00 pm. Limited entries are available\, so Pre-Register today! \n\n\n\nDue to COVID restrictions\, the endpoint may not be available this year. We know part of the fun is discussing with other teams how they did or how they got an answer\, but our hands are tied. Let’s all stay safe. DESCRIPTION:Do you know where the best Christmas decorations are in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago? We do! And we show them annually at The Christmas Light Tour Rallye\, a benefit for the USMC Toys for Tots. There will be two courses this year: West – Schaumburg\, and East – Lincolnwood. \n\n\n\nWhen? You can run this year’s The Christmas Light Tour Rallye at any time from the 12th of December until Christmas Day. Many teams will choose to run when there is a group on the night of December 12th\, yet you can participate when you please. \n\n\n\nSpectacular Houses! This event has\, in the past\, shown the most spectacular houses in the Schaumburg\, Hoffman Estates\, Elk Grove\, and Arlington Heights areas. We have more for you this year\, too\, as we have a second Tour you can run on the Eastern front to take in Lincolnwood\, Sauganash\, and Edgebrook.  \n\n\n\nSpecial Entry Fee for The Christmas Light Tour Rallye! Because it is a Charity Rally to benefit the USMC Toys for Tots\, the entry cost is $20 per vehicle. Should you have a toy to donate\, we will graciously accept it during the Saturday\, December 12th run. It is not necessary\, but it is fun to give a toy to the cause! \n\n\n\nCOVID-19 Precautions: The plan is to end at Garibaldi’s Italian Eatery\, yet of course\, because of the pandemic\, we don’t know what the endpoint situation will be. Yet you can still go out and enjoy the decorated homes.  \n\n\n\nRegistration: You must Pre-Register! Last year we had over 400 total entries and 170 entries running the night of the event. We can’t possibly handle that number of vehicles again as competitors\, yet you can join as a non-competitor and still run the event. SUMMARY:IL: Return of the G.O.A.T.S. Tour
DESCRIPTION:A number of years ago the Chicago Region SCCA held a tour-type rally to LaCrosse Wisconsin. Several of the entrants had their private radios with them to communicate with each other as we traversed the tour route. Conversation over the radios was minimal\, then suddenly the silence was broken! A voice came across the airways shouting “goats\, goats\, goats\,” and then it went silent. What we all found out later that day is that a small heard of goats were on the road just past a curve. Apparently the noise from the car and its driver yelling as loud as possible on the radio scared the goats away because no one else observed this obstacle.   \n\n\n\nNow\, we can’t promise you that same level of excitement\, nor do we want you to experience it for yourself on this Chicago Region SCCA Tour.  However\, if you join us this coming Saturday\, May 15\, 2021 the Chicago Region and its G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) backroads tour series will provide you with an enjoyable day of driving\, using great Wisconsin backroads providing scenic views and plenty of turns and elevation changes. The drive will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete ending in Paoli\, Wisconsin\, where there will be options for lunch and some socializing. Join us\, won’t you\, for The Return of the G.O.A.T.S. \n\n\n\nWhen: Saturday May 15\, 2021 \n\n\n\nRegistration:  Pre-event registration is required. SUMMARY:CT: New England Region Hurdle 2021 National GTA Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Hurdle Rally is a Game-Tour-Adventure (GTA) Rally. After a short odometer check\, contestants will receive a map of Connecticut and a list of questions. The objective is to answer as many questions as possible in the least amount of miles (think scavenger hunt). \n\n\n\nHurdle 2021 will be run in compliance with the 2021 NER/SCCA Road Rally Regulations\, as amended. Hurdle 2021 is sanctioned by the SCCA as a National GTA and  NER/SCCA as a Special Event. \n\n\n\nTeams are limited to two adults (over age 16) per vehicle. One additional adult (over age 16) may be allowed at the organizers’ discretion (don’t hesitate to contact event organizers at jon.lamkins@cox.net for approval and limitations).  No limit to children (under age 16)\, but the total number of contestants per vehicle cannot exceed the number of seat belts available in the vehicle.  \n\n\n\nMore information and Registration can be found here: http://www.ner.org/hurdle2021
