SUMMARY:NY: Route of All Evil Road Rally...All in Good Time and Deceptive Bends for 2021
DESCRIPTION:A short message from Rallymaster Extraordinaire Frank Beyer (aka Dr. Devio) about the 2021 Route of All Evil Weekend — this year\, there will be two Regional Route(s) of All Evil: All in Good Time on Saturday\, October 30th and Deceptive Bends on Sunday\, October 31st. You can run one or both! \n\n\n\nExpect a couple of things to be missing from my turn as a Rallymaster for the Finger Lakes Region: darkness and snow (probably). The fields are limited to 30 cars each. Early registration is now open to cars with at least one full-time SCCA member. \n\n\n\nBoth courses feature smooth paved and unpaved roads; no car-breakers. Saturday’s route is about 190 miles long and Sunday’s about 175 miles. Speeds will be appropriately brisk for the roads and conditions. The Route and General Instructions are straightforward\, but you’ll need to stay alert and be ready to react to the situations presented. I expect you’ll rack up a bunch of zeros but you’ll work for them. Timing will be done with the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints\, using your smartphone in your car. \n\n\n\nCLASSES for the 2021 Route of All Evil:  \n\n\n\n(E)quipped – no restriction on equipment. SUMMARY:NY: Slip Sliding Away Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the final event of the Finger Lakes Region SCCA Winter Rally Series\, Slip Sliding Fever 2023 — on Saturday the 4th of March\, 2023. In keeping with the Winter Rally Series format\, this is an evening TSD rally run at speeds within the local speed limits. This event will run about 200 totalmiles of paved\, dirt\, muddy and possibly(?) snowy roads. \n\n\n\nAt least two people make up a rally team—a Driver and a Navigator. Route instructions are provided in Tulip diagram format (line drawings of each intersection) with mileages provided. Teams should have a wrist or stopwatch\, a calculator\, flashlight\, and a pen. A novice school will be available prior to the drivers meeting to help first-timers out. \n\n\n\nAll cars are required to have all-season tires in good condition\, but are strongly encouraged to have snow tires. All teams and cars are also required to have a valid driver’s license\, a current inspection sticker\, proof of insurance\, a tow-rope\, and flares or a reflective triangle.

SUMMARY:NY: Do It Again Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Time to head to Williamson to Do It Again! This time\, the  SCCA Finger Lakes Region will visit Orbakers Drive-in\, see all the apple orchards\, pass Orbakers Farm Stand\, cruise by the lake\, and return to the drive-in again. Join us for some fun. Feel free to bring your lowered Miata for this all-paved road rally! \n\n\n\nThe Do It Again is a regularity contest as follows: You follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit. As you follow the route\, you will be timed at unknown locations. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them). The course is approximately 30 miles and should take about 55minutes to complete. Teams will repeat the course route at 3:00 + car #. Checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again for the second time around the route. Your score will be how close to the minute and hundredths is to the time you passed on the first loop. DESCRIPTION:It is again time to enjoy the winter roads of the Southern Tier with the Finger Lakes Region’s 2025 Winter Rally Series. The first rally of the SCCA Finger Lakes Region Series consists of approximately 180 competitive miles using mostly unpaved roads in the New York Southern Tier. \n\n\n\nEntry fees are $45 per car for SCCA Members + $15 should you need a Weekend Membership if one team member in the car is not an SCCA member. There is a 35-car limit\, so pre-registration is recommended. Series classes are Equipped\, Limited\, Stock\, and Novice. \n\n\n\nSnow tires are recommended (all-season tires may limit your speed group eligibility). A tow rope/strap and 90 minutes of flares or one DOT triangle are required to compete. \n\n\n\nStart/Finish location: Wadsworth Grill\, 3901 Main Street\, Wadsworth\, NY\, on Route 36 South of Route 63.
