SUMMARY:OH: Ohio Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:Tanned\, rested and ready… A northeast Ohio tradition since 1966 is back! Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2023 Ohio Winter Rally. The ~165 mile route will traverse portions of northeast Ohio’s Lake Erie “snowbelt” counties.\n\n\n\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free\, Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with emphasis on precise timing at well placed controls. Columnar “tulip” style route instructions\, with Official Mileages for all action points (similar to a stage rally routebook)\, will be used.\n\n\n\nIn an effort to help teams with limited prior timekeeping experience stay on schedule\, and to mitigate the possibility of “double jeopardy” from carrying a timing error through multiple controls\, parenthetical perfect cumulative leg times will be provided at all speed change locations.\n\n\n\nThe rally will count toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division Rally Championship\, and the SCCA National Touring Rally Championship as Divisional Rally.\n\n\n\nTentative Schedule (all times EST): \n\n\n\nSaturday\, January 28\, 2023: 23:59 – Early entry cutoff \n\n\n\nWednesday\, February 1\, 2023: 18:00 – Registration closes. General Instructions\, and Richta password distributed via email. \n\n\n\nThursday\, February 2\, 2023: 20:00 – Competitor briefing / Novice Q & A session (via Zoom) \n\n\n\nSaturday\, February 4\, 2023: \n\n\n\n     13:30-14:30 – On-site registration \n\n\n\n     15:01 – Car #1 starts rally. \n\n\n\n      20:45 (approx) – Car #1 finishes. \n\n\n\nCompetition Classes: \n\n\n\n     E – Equipment unrestricted. \n\n\n\n     L – Odometer unrestricted. Calculating device restricted only in that it may not be integrated with odometer. \n\n\n\n     G – GPS–derived odometer only\, and any calculating device. \n\n\n\n     S – Stock odometer only. Calculating device restricted only in that it may not be integrated with odometer. \n\n\n\n     Novice – Class S entry in which neither team member has previously entered more than 5 TSD rallies. \n\n\n\nEntry Fees: \n\n\n\n     SCCA Members (driver and/or navigator has annual membership): $45.00/car before early entry cutoff\, $55.00 thereafter. \n\n\n\n     Others: Add $20.00 to above (member) fees (to purchase the mandated SCCA Weekend/Trial memberships for both team members). \n\n\n\n         Individuals that purchase a Weekend membership are eligible for a $15.00 credit toward an annual SCCA membership for 60(?) days following the rally. \n\n\n\nNOTE: All teams must enter here. NO WALK-IN ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THEDAY OF THE RALLY!

SUMMARY:MN: Land O' Lakes Region Flamethrower Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Flamethrower Rally is a Regularity Rally run in MN part of the Driftless area. The course traverses the Valleys flowing into the Mississippi River\, taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nOnly two people are allowed in the car. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is required. A smart phone with built in GPS will make it a lot easier and more fun. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021 and 2022. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event. It’s a Rally Computer app that does all the work for you to stay on time. \n\n\n\nRabbit Rally Info \n\n\n\nEntry fee is $40/car\, and another $15 for Weekend Membership if you are not an SCCA Member.In-person sign-in starts at 2:00PM\, First car out at 3:31PMLength: 5 hours\, 137 miles \n\n\n\nIt is recommended that you have Winter rated tires. Speed shall have no impact whatsoever on the classification. Regularity Zones (RZs) shall be set up where participants have to follow the established average speed and stay close to the ideal time throughout the route. Time penalties shall be handed down as points. The winner shall be the competitor with the fewest points at the end of the rally. The details of the itinerary and the various controls shall be set out in the time card.  \n\n\n\nAll registration material will be either online or emailed to you so you can fill out before arrival. The exception is the SCCA Waiver which we must witness.
