SUMMARY:CT: Rally Against Leukemia GTA Charity RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Rally Against Leukemia 2026 is a Game-Tour-Adventure (GTA) Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region. Teams receive a set of route instructions that will take them from Plainville\, CT\, to Stanley Park in Westfield\, MA and then to the finish at Barrington Brewery and Restaurant in Great Barrington\, MA. Along the route\, teams will answer questions based on signs or landmarks that they pass. Awards will be given to the teams with the most correct answers along with a yet to be determined tie-breaker method. \nTeams are not required to answer the questions. They can simply follow the route and enjoy the drive through Central CT and Western MA. Registration and more event information is available at the Event Registration link below! \nAll proceeds from this event will be donated to the UMASS Medical Center to aid with their childhood leukemia research. Contestants are encouraged to collect additional donations from friends and family. Additional donations may be made in cash\, check\, or and we’ll have an online link\, too! \nBecause this is a charity event\, meant for fun rather than serious competition\, the only limitation to the number of occupants in a vehicle is that the total number of occupants per vehicle cannot exceed the number of seat belts available in the vehicle. Appropriate waivers will need to be completed and signed at registration for all occupants. For teams with more than two adults (over age 18)\, it is suggested that in the spirit of the charity nature of the event that an additional monetary donation be made for each additional adult at registration.

This event runs as a fundraiser for Slow Roll Cleveland\, a volunteer led organization focused on community engagement through its weekly group bicycle rides. \nAs Clevelanders\, we are fortunate to live in a city that appreciates the arts. One undervalued form of expression is public murals — those large scale artworks painted on exterior walls\, transforming ordinary buildings into vibrant visual landmarks. These murals combine color\, imagery\, and storytelling to reflect the culture\, history\, and identity of our community. Whether you’re a first-time participant or a Road Rally veteran\, this FUNdraising tradition is the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday. Gather your team\, hop in the car\, and get ready to put your observation skills\, teamwork\, and sense of adventure to the test. Online registration is open now\, so reserve your spot and get ready to hit the road. Check-in is 1:00-2:00 PM (all vehicles must be on the course by 2:00 PM).\n\n\nSupporting Local Students\nEvery registration helps make a difference. Proceeds from the Ithaca Rotary Road Rally benefit the James L. Gibbs Ithaca High School Scholarship Fund\, helping local students pursue higher education and achieve their goals.
