SUMMARY:WI: Milwaukee Spring Scamper Car Rally
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the Spring Scamper Car Rally in Madison\, Wisconsin. This 120 mile\, 4 hour time-speed-distance (TSD) rally will take you through the country roads southwest of Madison. You and your rally partner will enjoy the marvelous roads that are fun to drive and the great scenery on this SCCA Milwaukee Region rally. This is a “Tour” type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. The route instructions are easy to follow and the challenge is to arrive at each checkpoint at the correct time. An SOP class is provided for contestants who do not want to calculate or do any math. \n\n\n\nThe rally course\, by Rallymaster Jim Crittenden\, is all new for 2023. You’ll explore new roads as you follow the clues and try to arrive at each checkpoint at exactly the right time. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Richta GPS checkpoint app system. The Richta GPS checkpoint app will run on your smartphone\, will record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then report your leg score immediately to you. No more waiting until the rally is over to see your score! You will need to bring a smartphone in order to run this rally. \n\n\n\nThis rally is a charity fund raiser for Best Friends Animal Society. All profits will go to support their animal rescue work. Following their motto “Help Save Them All\,” Best Friends works with animal rescue organizations around the country to find “furever homes” for thousands of homeless animals. You can read about their great work at www.bestfriends.org. \n\n\n\nEntry fee: $35/car or $45/car if neither person is an SCCA member. Online registration is through www.msreg.com/springscamper2023 \n\n\n\nClasses for Spring Scamper Car Rally:  \n\n\n\n1st timer – No one in the car has run a road rally before. No math or timing calculations allowed.SOP (Seat Of the Pants) – No math or timing calculations allowed. Use speedometer to judge speed. No rally apps allowed.Calculating – May use a device or an app to calculate earliness or lateness\, but rally computers are not allowed. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens: 9:45 AM at Hometown Community Park. \n\n\n\n1st car departs at 11:01 PM and finishes at ~3:00 PM at the Dottie’s Restaurant\, Cross Plains\, WI.

SUMMARY:CA: 56th April Fools Rallye
DESCRIPTION:The Empire Sports Car Club presents the 56th April Fools Rallye\, on Sunday\, April 2nd. The rally will also be a charity fundraiser for Canine Companions for Independence. Registration is at 1030A\, with a brief Rally School\, for those new to the sport of Road Rally\, at 11 AM. \n\n\n\nFrom Rallymaster Bob Jenkins —  \n\n\n\nThings that are helpful to bring on the rallye are one or two clip boards\, a couple of pens or pencils\, different colored highlighters\, and a pad of post its. You of course also need a navigator\, a full tank of fuel (so you do not have to make a stop for gas) and money for the entry fee and for pizza and drinks at the Mountain Mike’s Pizza at finish. Also getting to the start before 11am so you can go to the rallye school given by Master Expert Blain Hendrix. \n\n\n\nAt the finish checkpoint you will receive a critique\, explaining all the gimmicks used on the rallye. \n\n\n\nIf you have been saying\, I really want to run this rallye\, this one would be a good one to do just that. \n\n\n\nWe have a full worker crew\, so if you are not working come out and run the fun rallye and support the charity. \n\n\n\nEntry fee is $20 per team.

SUMMARY:IN: Michiana Jeep Club Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Michiana Jeep Club Rally will be on Saturday\, April 29th. This year they will again be raising money for Camp Millhouse\, to add to the $10\,000 raised in 2022.  \n\n\n\nRegistration is from 9-10 am. The first Jeeps head out shortly after. Come have a great time in your Jeep looking for obscure clues/items on some roads you’ve never seen before! This is a scored event with prizes at the end. The route is about 36 miles long with 3 checkpoints; at the checkpoints\, you will be asked a trivia question and be given a challenge to complete\, both earning points. \n\n\n\nBring a sense of adventure\, at least one other person\, a clipboard\, a pen\, and a keen eye! \n\n\n\nThe entry fee is $30 per Jeep. We will have raffles and a 50/50\, with all monies raised going to Camp Millhouse.
