Come get a taste in this short rally by Rallymaster Stephen Frame. \n\nStarting from Cub Foods South in Lakeville: \n17:00 Sign-In\n17:15 Competitor Meeting\n17:31 First Car Out\n18:01 First Car In at Elko Speedway \nEach car is required to have both a Driver and a Navigator. You can leave the second car at Cub. Paper roadbooks will be distributed on your start minute. Entry Fee: $10. \nClasses will be “run what ya brung.” All you need is a stopwatch. No odometer calibration will be provided. Only one checkpoint\, timed with a clock and an eyeball. No worries\, just vibes. The lowest scoring team will receive the coveted Elko Cup. The rally includes some unpaved roads.

DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Milwaukee Region is delighted to announce that the Spring Scamper car rally is scheduled for Sunday\, July 27\, 2025. This 130-mile rally will start and finish in Verona\, Wisconsin\, 10 miles southwest of Madison\, and will explore the scenic country roads northwest of Madison.\n\n   This year’s event will follow a brand-new route\, crossing the Wisconsin River to explore the great roads in Sauk County\, Wisconsin.\n\n   Spring Scamper is a charity fundraiser for the Dane County Humane Society. This great organization provides care and finds “furever” homes for thousands of dogs\, cats\, and other animals every year. Your rally entry will help support their work.\n\n   The entry fee is $20 per person\, and a minimum of two people are required per car. Any type of street-legal vehicle is permitted\, and you do not have to be a member of the Sports Car Club of America. Registration is now open at msreg.com/SpringScamper2025.  There is a 30-car limit\, so don’t delay in getting registered today!\n\n   There will be four classes: Computer\, Calculating\, SOP (Seat of the Pants)\, and First Timer. For more information\, please visit our registration page. Scoring will use the Mojo GPS checkpoint system to record your arrival time at each checkpoint.  Once you register\, you’ll receive information on how to download a custom app (Mojo Competitor) to your smartphone.\n\n   Laser-engraved Pilsner glasses will be awarded as trophies to the top teams in each Class.\n\n   Bring that car you love to drive and explore new roads with us. The course takes advantage of the elevation changes\, natural twisty gravel backroads\, and challenging winter conditions in the valleys flowing into the Mississippi River. Road conditions can range from frozen gravel to snow and even some ice. \n\n\n\nThis year\, we will also enjoy several very twisty single-lane minimum-maintenance roads! No ground clearance issues were found while prerunning with a stock economy car. “Flamethrower” refers to Lucas Flamethrower’s driving lights because much of this rally will be held at dusk and nighttime! \n\n\n\nWhen both are out rallying\, they are rivals\, yet Rallymaster Tyler Linner shares this weekend with Ted Rurup and the Alligator Slide Rally\, which runs on Sunday\, February 23rd. SUMMARY:MN: Grumpy Old Men GTA Navigational Scatter
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Land O’ Lakes Region continues its Yucatan Safari weekend with the Grumpy Old Men National GTA RoadRally\,  a navigational scatter. Navigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time. We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps\, and this distance is how you will be scored. \n\n\n\nThe rally will be mainly in Wabasha County\, home of the Grumpy Old Men movies. It’s too bad the event isn’t in February when you could attend the Grumpy Old Men Festival. The National Eagle Center is also in Wabasha. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you to the specified number of them. Although a map has been provided\, you may also use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route. The route between the points offers many options. \n\n\n\nYour team will have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. This includes some extra time in case you make mistakes along the way. Your score is the total miles from start to end. \n\n\n\nThere is a 30-mile penalty for each waypoint you miss that is less than the specified number. So\, if we say you must go through 15 of 20\, you are penalized for only doing 14.  \n\n\n\nRegistration is $40 per vehicle\, and a Weekend Membership is available if neither crew member is an SCCA member. DESCRIPTION:The Black Friday Road Rally is becoming an annual SCCA Land O’ Lakes Region event. This Regional Tour Rally is run in Carver and Scott Counties\, meaning lots of unpaved roads. Driving lights are nice but not really needed. The route consists of many of the Minnesota Valley Winter Rally roads used when that was a longer rally. DESCRIPTION:Escape to Wisconsin Road Rally is a Navigational Scatter (NavScat) sanctioned by the SCCA Land O’Lakes Region. For SCCA purposes\, it is sanctioned as a GTA. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps\, and this distance is how you will be scored. There is a 30-mile penalty for each one you miss. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you by all of them. Although a map has been provided\, you may also use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route.  \n\n\n\nSign-in time is 11 AM\, and Plotting begins at Noon. You have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. DESCRIPTION:The Green Heck Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Land ‘o Lakes Region\, is a Regional Tour all-night regularity (TSD) rally run on the twisty\, technical\, and hilly forest roads north of Park Rapids\, MN. Honoring the long history of stage rallies in the area\, this event sends you down some of the same stage roads used by John Buffum\, Rod Millen\, and Doug Shepherd in the Group B era. Battle the terrain and your own endurance as you drive toward the sunrise. \n\n\n\nWe have secured a recce exemption from ARA for Ojibwe Forests Rally competitors. \n\n\n\nEach car must include two people: a Driver and a Navigator. No other passengers are allowed. A special release is required if your Navigator is a minor (under 18 years of age). No special equipment is required. We recommend you download the Rabbit Rally 2.0 app to use our interactive digital roadbook and GPS timing for the most fun. You do NOT need to do an odometer calibration for G (GPS) Class\, but one will be available if you choose to do so. Rabbit Rally 2.0 offers an interactive digital roadbook and does all calculations so that you always know if you are on time. Time Allowances are now integrated directly into Rabbit for easier operation. \n\n\n\nScoring is done via independent GPS boxes mounted on your windows. \n\n\n\nRabbit Rally Info \n\n\n\nThe rally will start from the Super 8 in Park Rapids\, MN\, with the first car out at 1131PM\, and end at the Great Northern Cafe\, ±6.5 hours and 193 miles later.Entry fee $75 per car\, plus $20 Weekend Membership for non-SCCA members \n\n\n\nA note on road conditions and vehicle choice—Forest roads can be rough and unpredictable\, but we have found these roads to be generally smooth and without obstructions. Significant hazards will be called out in the roadbook as Cautions. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended. Since this rally is run in remote forests at night\, we do recommend equipping your vehicle with ample forward lighting and a recovery point on the front and rear of the vehicle. DESCRIPTION:The Knox County Knockabout RoadRally\, the second point rally of the season\, is Sunday\, May 19th. Our starting point is the Arby’s on Hart Street in Vincennes. We will gather at 12:30P Central\, Drivers meeting at ±1PM Central\, with 1st car off shortly after that.  \n\n\n\nThe route follows some of Knox County’s fun roads\, visiting some beautiful agriculture\, little-visited bergs (Verne and St. Thomas)\, and CASTs from 15 to 60 MPH. The total mileage is 75 miles\, with a time of 2.5 Hours (approx). DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Chicago Region will run another G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) event on Saturday\, May 18th\, with the Wine in Time Tour Rally. Join us this spring for another drive through northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin on some of the most scenic backroads to enjoy.  \n\n\n\nThis Chicago Region SCCA\, G.O.A.T.S. backroads tour will provide you with an enjoyable day of driving\, using great backroads\, scenic views\, plenty of turns\, and elevation changes. The drive will be approximately 120 miles\, ending in Prairie du Sac at The Wollersheim Winery –Distillery – Bistro\, where we will all meet for lunch and some socializing. The vineyard began in the 1840s and turned to dairy farming during prohibition. In 1972\, the Wollersheim family purchased the property\, and they resumed winemaking. Wollersheim Winery is a National Historic Site and has won many awards for its wines.  After lunch\, if you like\, you can visit the wine-tasting room or the distillery and pick up some treats. Join us\, won’t you\, for a great drive\, good food\, wine\, and a chance to visit with friends.  \n\n\n\nThe Tour/Rally is scheduled to take place on Saturday\, May 18\, 2024. The starting point will be the Flying “J” in South Beloit\, IL.
