DESCRIPTION:A brisk TSD tour through the winding paved roads in the driftless area west of Madison. Join us on Saturday\, May 7th\, for the 5th running of this crowd-pleasing event. Sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region\, the Badger Burrow will be a paved tour emphasizing brisk country driving.Much of the event will be run in transit/free zones. This means you can drive at your own pace on the unbelievable roads we have chosen. SUMMARY:WI: Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this five hour\, 110-mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nStart and finish location:  Nagawaukee Shopping Center\, just north of I-94 at the HWY 83 exit\, Delafield. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens at 9:00 AM. The first car departs at 11:01 AM\, and we anticipate the first car finished at approximately 4:15 PM. \n\n\n\nCost:  $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. SUMMARY:IL: Return of the G.O.A.T.S. Tour
DESCRIPTION:A number of years ago the Chicago Region SCCA held a tour-type rally to LaCrosse Wisconsin. Several of the entrants had their private radios with them to communicate with each other as we traversed the tour route. Conversation over the radios was minimal\, then suddenly the silence was broken! A voice came across the airways shouting “goats\, goats\, goats\,” and then it went silent. What we all found out later that day is that a small heard of goats were on the road just past a curve. Apparently the noise from the car and its driver yelling as loud as possible on the radio scared the goats away because no one else observed this obstacle.   \n\n\n\nNow\, we can’t promise you that same level of excitement\, nor do we want you to experience it for yourself on this Chicago Region SCCA Tour.  However\, if you join us this coming Saturday\, May 15\, 2021 the Chicago Region and its G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) backroads tour series will provide you with an enjoyable day of driving\, using great Wisconsin backroads providing scenic views and plenty of turns and elevation changes. The drive will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete ending in Paoli\, Wisconsin\, where there will be options for lunch and some socializing. This year’s event will use both Numbered and Lettered Route Instructions. There will be a variable Main Road rule. Experienced rallyists will find this rally to be one of the easier National Course rallies of the year. However\, it is not recommended for people who have never rallied before. DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Milwaukee Region presents the Roads Scamper National Tour RoadRally\, on Sunday\, June 6\, 2021. Join your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180-mile time-speed-distance National Tour RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads north of Madison\, Wisconsin. \n\n\n\nThis rally will use the Richta GPS checkpoint app. Contestants will download the app to their smartphones in advance of the rally. During the rally\, this app will use the GPS signals and automatically record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then display your score to you!! No more waiting until the rally is over to find out how you did. A bonus feature of this Richta GPS checkpoint system is that we can provide you with many more checkpoints and more challenging checkpoint locations. Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180-mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone to run this event. If you’re planning to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device. The Richta GPS checkpoint app needs to be the only app running on your phone during the rally; you can download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. \n\n\n\nThis is a tour-type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region of the Sports Car Club of America invites you to join us for the Spring Scamper car rally on Sunday\, April 3\, 2022\, in Madison\, Wisconsin. This 120-mile\, 5-hour Tour-type rally (no traps) will take you and your rally partner (driver and navigator) on a scenic adventure through the rural countryside roads south of Madison. You’ll have lunch in New Glarus (home to Spotted Cow) and then an afternoon break in Monroe\, WI. The rally course features new roads that haven’t been used on previous rallies.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Checkpoint – Richta GPS app for timing and scoring. This app will run on your smartphone (it’s required that you bring one) and will announce your score immediately at each checkpoint. You can use this instant feedback to learn how to improve your scores as the rally progresses. \n\n\n\nThis year’s Spring Scamper will be a charity event for the Dane County Humane Society. Your entry fee will help this wonderful organization continue to find ‘furever’ homes for hundreds of pets every year. Here’s a link to their website where you can see the list of animals that are currently available for adoption. \n\n\n\nRegistration for Spring Scamper is now open online at msreg.com/DCHS. You do not need to be a member of SCCA to run. Any street-legal car is eligible. The cost is $20/per person ($40/per car). All you need is a smartphone and a rally partner. SUMMARY:WI: Milwaukee Region Roads Scholar National Course Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow RoadRally enthusiasts for this 180 mile time-speed-distance National Course RoadRally in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. You and your rally partner will enjoy a scenic rally adventure through the marvelous country roads west of Madison\, Wisconsin. \n\n\n\nYou’ll be tested on your ability to observe\, reason\, maintain the assigned average speeds\, and follow explicit directions. This year’s event will use both Numbered and Lettered Route Instructions. There will be a variable Main Road rule. Experienced rallyists will find this rally to be one of the easier National Course rallies of the year. However\, it is not recommended for people who have never rallied before. It would be like a first-time skier attempting a blue diamond (moderate difficulty) ski trail.\n\n\n\nPRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. \n\n\n\nHeadquarters Hotel:  Country Inn and Suites. A block of rooms with 2 queen beds has been reserved for contestants at a special rate of $75/night plus tax\, but only until May 14th.  This includes a hot breakfast buffet. Ask for ‘SCCA Car Rally’ to get this rate. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in – 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday \n\n\n\nFirst Car Off – 8:31 AM  Saturday \n\n\n\nFirst Car Finished – Approx 5:30 pm \n\n\n\nCost:  $85/car for SCCA members\, $95/car if neither contestant is an SCCA member. Two people per car is required. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. DESCRIPTION:Our mission\, on the Holiday Shopping Shuffle GTA Road Rally\, is to gather food for a holiday meal and be back at the time that the Rallymaster says we should be back. The catch is that each item must come from a different town. To make it a little easier\, the Rallymaster gives us tasks to complete along the way that can extend the time when we have to be back.  \n\n\n\nThis is a fun event and to make it even better\, the registration fee is waived if you bring a new\, unwrapped toy to donate. (Non-members will still need to pay the $10 weekend membership fee for insurance purposes.) Please remember to bring a little bit of money to purchase food items. All food items will be donated to a local food pantry after the rally.

The rally will start in Winona and wind through Winona\, Fillmore\, and Houston counties before returning to Winona. The simple instruction format makes it a good event for newcomers and experts. If you like no-nonsense gravel TSD rallies\, this is for you. \n\n\n\nThe Yucatan Safari was started in the early ’90s and converted to a Winter rally in 2010. \n\n\n\nRegistration opens on December 1st at Motorsportreg\, our official online registration site\, where you’ll find more details about the event. The entry fee is $60 per car and an additional $10 if neither crew member is an SCCA Member.

SUMMARY:MN: Land O' Lakes Region Flamethrower Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Flamethrower Rally is a Regularity Rally run in MN part of the Driftless area. The course traverses the Valleys flowing into the Mississippi River\, taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nOnly two people are allowed in the car. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is required. A smart phone with built in GPS will make it a lot easier and more fun. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021 and 2022. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event. DESCRIPTION:Find Another Opportunity\, the first TSD RoadRally of the 2023 Rally Season for the Southern Indiana Region\, takes place on Sunday\, February 26th\, by Rallymaster Bob Sonntag. \n\n\n\nThe route is all paved. Not all of it nicely paved; but\, it is all paved…except the antique bridge that’s more planked than paved. The route runs from Hardee’s in Evansville through Vanderburgh\, Warrick\, and Spencer counties to get to Turoni’s Pizza in Newburg\, Indiana. \n\n\n\nIf you’re new to TSD (Time/Speed/Distance) rallies\, plan on being at Hardee’s by noon. SUMMARY:MN: Minnesota Valley Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:The course for this SCCA Land o’ Lakes Region is mostly unpaved roads traversing the Minnesota River Valley. By late March the roads could be dry\, mud\, snow or any combination. Be prepared. \n\n\n\nSunset at 7:32 PM so part of the Minnesota Valley Winter Rally will be at night but mostly daylight. External night lighting will not be required but it would’t hurt on older cars\, interior lights will be very useful.  \n\n\n\nWe advise bringing winter gear (boots\, hat\, gloves\, etc) and a blanket in case you have car trouble. A small shovel or two would be a good idea if it is still snowy. \n\n\n\nPhilosophy  \n\n\n\nThis event will not have nearly as many timing points (TP) as others we have done. We have located the TP at traditional locations used when we had to have humans work. We have thrown in a few extra at places we always wanted to put one as well. The first section we are calling the prairie stage. It’s one long stage of about 25 miles with no links. The terrain is rather flat with the interest coming via many 90 degree turns followed by a TP. From there we head down to the Minnesota River starting with the famous Salisbury Hill control before ending the first part in Henderson where you can exchange stories at the Shell station. \n\n\n\nFrom there we follow the traditional course through the tributary valleys. After a brief run up the Minnesota River Scenic Byway before one last stage before ending at Sticks. \n\n\n\nMVWR uses the MiRally GPS timing and scoring system. The advantage being contestants get to use the Rabbit Rally Digital Roadbook and rally computer on their smartphone and or tablet. SUMMARY:WI: Milwaukee Spring Scamper Car Rally
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the Spring Scamper Car Rally in Madison\, Wisconsin. This 120 mile\, 4 hour time-speed-distance (TSD) rally will take you through the country roads southwest of Madison. You and your rally partner will enjoy the marvelous roads that are fun to drive and the great scenery on this SCCA Milwaukee Region rally. This is a “Tour” type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. The route instructions are easy to follow and the challenge is to arrive at each checkpoint at the correct time. An SOP class is provided for contestants who do not want to calculate or do any math. \n\n\n\nThe rally course\, by Rallymaster Jim Crittenden\, is all new for 2023. You’ll explore new roads as you follow the clues and try to arrive at each checkpoint at exactly the right time. \n\n\n\nWe’ll be using the Richta GPS checkpoint app system. The Richta GPS checkpoint app will run on your smartphone\, will record your arrival time at each checkpoint and then report your leg score immediately to you. No more waiting until the rally is over to see your score! You will need to bring a smartphone in order to run this rally. \n\n\n\nThis rally is a charity fund raiser for Best Friends Animal Society. All profits will go to support their animal rescue work. Following their motto “Help Save Them All\,” Best Friends works with animal rescue organizations around the country to find “furever homes” for thousands of homeless animals. DESCRIPTION:The Dogwood Daze Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Indianapolis Region\, is a time speed distance rally designed specifically for beginners\, but fun for non-beginners as well. This is a Tour-style rally that uses the Richta GPS Competitor App for timing. No tricky route instructions — just follow the instructions given to you. At each restart point you will re-zero your trip odometer and leave at the beginning of the next minute. DESCRIPTION:Come join the Chicago Region G.O.A.T.S. (Get Out and Tour Series) on Saturday\, May 6\, for another fun drive through southern Wisconsin on some of the most scenic backroads there are to enjoy. You’ll have the chance to see old friends\, make new ones and have fun with your car.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe starting point is the Flying J Travel Center (the northwest corner of I-90/39 and Illinois Rt. 75) by the Denny’s restaurant. Check-in will open at 9 a.m.\, with the first car off promptly at 10 a.m.  \n\n\n\nThe drive will take approximately 3 hours to complete\, ending In Lena\, Illinois\, at The Rafters restaurant\, where we will all meet for lunch and some socializing. After lunch\, if you like you can visit the Lena Brewing Company and the Red Barn gift shop both on the same property as the restaurant. \n\n\n\nIf you are wondering where the name for this tour came from\, you will have to drive the tour to find out. Join us\, won’t you\, and learn all about “Ride the Rooster”. \n\n\n\nEntry fee per car is $15 for members\, $35 for nonmembers. The $20 cost of the required Weekend Membership for nonmember drivers is included in the entry. This fee can be applied to your dues for a full annual SCCA membership if you join within 60 days of the tour. \n\n\n\nPre-event registration is required. No walk-up entries will be accepted. Be a part of BVR restarting its Road Rally program with the CHEESE Road Rally. \n\n\n\nBob Phillips was a long-time BVR member and Rally competitor. He was the Rallymaster for many\, many CHEESE Rallies before he passed. It was initially called the Ides of CHEESE Rally and was run in March\, with Awards being chunks of great Wisconsin Cheese. BVR is pleased to honor him as we restart our rally program. \n\n\n\nTeams of a Driver and a Navigator will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic drive through the marvelous country roads in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.   \n\n\n\nThis is a ‘Tour’ type rally\, and there are no timing\, route traps\, or tricks – drive\, and enjoy the great roads and country scenery. This rally is designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. The course can be traversed at rally speeds with standard precautions and observing all typical traffic regulations and rules of the road. \n\n\n\nThe object of the rally is to follow the prescribed route and arrive at each checkpoint so you may make a card draw from a deck of cards. \n\n\n\nCheckpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the route and allow you to draw a card for your team’s Poker Hand. The rally ends in Monroe\, where Awards will be presented to the teams with the best Poker Hands.   \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for the rally. Entry fees are $30 per car for SCCA Members and $35 per car for our fellow motorsport enthusiasts. You may have up to four people in the car\, yet you need a minimum of two. All are welcome\, yet Minors (those under 18) must have Minor Waivers done prior\, and you’ll find information on the registration site. SUMMARY:WI: Escape To Wisconsin Navigational Scatter
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Land of Lakes Region’s first Navigational Scatter (NavScat). For SCCA purposes\, it is sanctioned as a GTA (Games Touring Adventure). After this scatter rally\, we will be caravaning to Wisconsin Dells on our way to our final destination\, the Badger Burrow Divisional Tour\, in Fitchburg\, WI\, on Sunday. If you plan to run Badger Burrow\, you must pre-register\, as It fills quickly. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps. This distance is how you will be scored. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you by all of them. Although a map will be provided\, you may use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route. The route between the points offers many options. \n\n\n\nYou’ll have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. This includes some extra time in case you make mistakes along the way. Your score is the total miles from start to end. There is a 30-mile penalty for each one you miss. \n\n\n\nYou will be asked to select a Class. No classes exist for the Escape to Wisconsin Navigational Scatter; your selection will be used for the SCCA LOL Championship. SUMMARY:WI: 11th Annual Badger Burrow Divisional Tour Rallye
DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region SCCA invites you to come run the 11th Annual Badger Burrow Tour Rallye. The event is a brisk run through Wisconsin’s driftless and moraine region\, mainly in Green County. The glaciers skipped this area during the last ice age\, leaving behind a terrain filled with valleys and ridges. The course takes full advantage of the region. Expect many curves\, ups and downs\, and paved roads that are seldom straight. Many say these are among the best sports car roads in the country. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Checkpoints automatic timing and scoring system. Contestants are expected to provide an Android or Apple smartphone capable of running this app. The app times you into the hidden controls and automatically provides you with a running score. Expect more than 50 timed controls over the approximately 120-mile course. Contestants can relax and tell rally tales during the two breaks in the 5-hour event.
