SUMMARY:ON: Hagerty Maple Mille
DESCRIPTION:The Hagerty Maple Mille is a budget-minded driving adventure through Ontario for 1979 and earlier touring and sports cars (with exceptions for select newer cars on an application basis). This un-scored\, non-competitive event takes place entirely within the province of Ontario and consists of approximately 1000km of driving over three days. The Maple Mille is organized by Squamish Classic Car Adventures using straightforward route instructions. Each entrant is required to read the Supplementary Regulations\, which contain all the details and ‘rules’ for the event\, before completing the Entry Form. \n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Maple Mille will start on Friday\, September 20th\, 2024\, and finish on Sunday\, September 22nd\, 2024. To ensure an “adventure\,” the route will remain secret until competitors receive their entry packages at registration. Way-finding instructions will be detailed and clear\, and will not require any calculations or rally knowledge. The event consists of 100% paved roads\, with some remote routes and destinations. Driving for each day is scheduled during daylight hours. Car wash facilities are available at each overnight stop\, though our definition of ‘facilities’ is rather loose. The coin-op wash-bay down the road may suffice! \n\n\n\nVehicle Acceptance\n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Maple Mille Adventure is open to sport\, touring and classic cars from 1979 and earlier. Sorry\, no motorcycles on this event. All vehicles attending the Hagerty Fall Classic are expected to meet legal roadworthiness standards at an absolute minimum. Generally guests should ensure their vehicles are ready for a long weekend of driving through back-country and winding roads\, keeping in mind that short jaunts around town may not fully prepare your vehicle for long hours of remote highways. \n\n\n\nThe Delorean Rule\n\n\n\nVehicles made after 1979 are considered on a case-by-case basis\, under a rule we call “The Delorean Rule”. If you think your post-1979 car fits within the spirit of our events\, simply enter as per normal and ensure we have some photos and background story on the car. \n\n\n\nRReNews: The starting location may not be City Hall\, yet our calendar needs a starting location. Stay tuned for details as they become available.

SUMMARY:MA: Rally Against Leukemia
DESCRIPTION:The Rally Against Leukemia 2024 is a Game-Tour-Adventure (GTA) Rally sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region. After a short odometer check\, contestants will receive maps of the Springfield and Central Massachusetts regions of Massachusetts and a list of questions. The objective is to answer as many questions as possible in the least amount of miles. \n\n\n\nAll proceeds from this event will be donated to the UMASS Medical Center to aid their Leukemia research.  Contestants are encouraged to collect additional donations from friends and family. The team that collects and turns in the most donations will receive a special award. \n\n\n\nBecause this is a charity event meant for fun rather than serious competition\, the only limitation to the number of occupants in a vehicle is that the total number of occupants per vehicle cannot exceed the number of seat belts available. Appropriate waivers must be completed and signed at registration for all occupants. For teams with more than two adults (over age 18)\, it is suggested that\, in the spirit of the charity nature of the event\, an additional monetary donation be made for each additional adult at registration. \n\n\n\nStart/Finish: Palmer Motorsports Park\, Palmer\, MA. Sign the SCCA Waiver with the rally crew at the track’s Main Entrance sign then go to the Track Registration building to sign the Track Waiver and receive a wristband credential. \n\n\n\nSchedule of Events (subject to change) \n\n\n\nSaturday\, September 14\, 2024 \n\n\n\n            8:30 am – 10:00 am                 Registration/Odometer Check \n\n\n\n            2:30 p.m.                                 Finish location opens \n\n\n\n            4:00 p.m.                                 All contestants due in at the finish \n\n\n\nGeneral Instructions: TBD \n\n\n\nMore information and to register\, head to MotorsportReg. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. SUMMARY:WA: Hagerty Fall Classic
DESCRIPTION:The Hagerty Fall Classic is a budget-minded driving adventure through Washington/Oregon for 1979 and earlier touring and sports cars (with exceptions for select newer cars on an application basis). This un-scored\, non-competitive event takes place entirely within the states of Washington and Oregon and consists of approximately 700mi of driving over three days. The Fall Classic is organized by Squamish Classic Car Adventures using straightforward route instructions. Each entrant is required to read the Supplementary Regulations\, which contain all the details and ‘rules’ for the event\, before completing the Entry Form. \n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Fall Classic will start on Friday\, September 6th\, 20234\, and finish on Sunday\, September 8th\, 2024. \n\n\n\nVehicle Acceptance\n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Fall Classic Adventure is open to sport\, touring and classic cars from 1979 and earlier. \n\n\n\nRReNews Note: At the time of posting\, we do not have the starting location at time of posting.

The other member of a non-SCCA team will receive a free SCCA Trial Membership (as will any non-SCCA member of an SCCA team). \n\n\n\nInformation: J. Thomas vonHatten\, Rallymaster\, 314-715-1398\, tom.vonhatten@gmail.com \n\n\n\nGood things to know: As indicated above\, we will use the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoint app for timing and scoring. To compete\, each participating team must have a smartphone or tablet with active data cellular service (no airplane mode and no Wi-Fi-only devices) and the Richta Competitor App installed. The app will report your arrival time and leg score to your cellphone or tablet moments after you pass each GPS checkpoint location. To download the app\, search for “Competitor Richta” or “Richta GPS Competitor App”  at Google Play or Apple’s App Store. For more information about the Richta GPS system\, visit https://richtarally.com. \n\n\n\nThe SCCA Detroit Region’s rally page has an excellent summary of the Richta system\, especially its Competitor App. Visit http://drscca.org/rally/using-the-richta-competitor-app. It is worth your time. \n\n\n\nAbout the St. Louis Region\, SCCA: The SCCA’s St. Louis Region\, with some 600 members\, offers Road Racing\, Performance Driving Experience (PDE)\, RallyCross\, RoadRally\, Solo (autocross)\, and Street Survival School programs to educate and provide safe environments for individuals to enjoy their street-legal (daily driver) cars and purpose-built racecars. The Region is home to more than 80 National Champions and has been recognized four times by the Sports Car Club of America as the Region of the Year in its member category. To learn more about the St. Louis Region\, visit www.stlscca.org. \n\n\n\nEvent Requirements\n\n\n\nRules and Waivers: \n\n\n\nThe standard SCCA rules regarding road rallies will be observed. To wit: proof of valid driver’s license and current auto insurance\, vehicle inspection (self-inspection by the rally team)\, and signing of applicable SCCA forms. \n\n\n\nAll participants will be required to read and sign the standard SCCA waiver before being allowed to participate in this event. The signing of the SCCA “Release and Waiver of Liability\, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement” is a precondition to participating in any SCCA event. Any adult 18 or older must sign the waiver. \n\n\n\nMinor Participants: A Minor taking part in this event must have an Annual Minor Waiver on file with the SCCA for the current calendar year\, i.e.\, 2024. \n\n\n\nThe Age of Majority is 18 except in Alabama and Nebraska\, where it is 19\, and Mississippi\, where it is 21. \n\n\n\nThe Annual Minor Waiver will be issued to the Minor by the SCCA National Office. For more information about this process\, click on the following document and see the section “Minor Annual Waivers”: Digital Annual Waiver 12-01-2021.pdf. \n\n\n\nBefore obtaining an “Annual Waiver Minor” for a child\, non-member parents/guardians\, as well as the Minor in question\, must obtain an SCCA Guest Account. \n\n\n\n1. Log onto scca.com. \n\n\n\n2. Click “Join/Renew” in the information bar at the top of the page. \n\n\n\n3. Click on “Create a Guest Account.” \n\n\n\n4. Click on “I don’t have a Member ID.” \n\n\n\n5. Complete the required information. \n\n\n\nOnce you\, as parents or guardians\, have received your Guest Accounts\, you can begin the process of acquiring an Annual Minor Waiver for your child. See again the document noted above: Digital Annual Waiver 12-01-2021.pdf. \n\n\n\nDo not wait until the last minute to obtain an Annual Minor Waiver for your Minor child/participant. SCCA staff are normally not available after regular business hours or on weekends\, so a last-minute Waiver request cannot be processed before the start of this road rally. Without a valid waiver\, your Minor will not be allowed to participate. \n\n\n\nFinally\, please read carefully: \n\n\n\nIf you are registering for the first time and paying for the event entry\, choose Option 1 on the order form and follow the prompts. \n\n\n\nIf you are registering as a co-entrant and your partner has already registered\, choose Option 2 on the order form. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. SUMMARY:BC: Rush to Gold Bridge
DESCRIPTION:The Rush to ‘Gold Bridge’ (R2GB) is our end-of-August\, 3-day driving event organized by Classic Car Adventures. Originally conceived as “Dave’s Birthday Touring Adventure\,” our first year took us to Gold Bridge… thus\, the event was called “The Rush to Gold Bridge.” The actual destination is subject to change yearly\, but the name remains the same! The event features a mixed Tarmac and Gravel route\, with additional instructions for those who’d prefer a 100% tarmac adventure. Each entrant will receive both route options and maps to show when and where each route will cross similar points. We’ve made every effort to adjust the routes and timings so that all participants can meet up for breaks mid-day and arrive at the hotels at a similar time.  \n\n\n\nImagine\, if you will\, a group of Classic Car Enthusiasts who literally just love to drive and hang out together. Some of us are going to try some gravel roads. The other members of our group\, the tarmac set\, is made up of folks who love to get out and drive\, but really aren’t sure about subjecting their cars to some gravel. That\, in a nutshell\, is the “Rush to Gold Bridge.” \n\n\n\nThe route for the 2024 R2GB will remain secret until entrants receive their “route-book” at registration. Instructions for this year’s event will be a combination of Google Maps instructions\, photocopies of older CCA event route books\, relevant map sections\, and GPS destination points (where available). Entrants are expected to arrive with good humor and a willingness to explore\, and a sense of humor when a road is found not to exist or a locked gate is encountered. You will not need any special rally equipment or rally knowledge. The event consists of paved and gravel roads through mountainous terrain\, with driving scheduled through daylight hours. \n\n\n\nA sense of humour\, and adventure\, is expected of all our entrants. \n\n\n\nFor more information and to register your team\, click here.

SUMMARY:CA: Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Roadrally
DESCRIPTION:The First Friday Niter Road Rally\, a five-decade tradition\, is sanctioned by the SCCA\, Cal Club Region\, and the Santa Monica Sports Car Club!   \n\n\n\nJoin us for August First Friday Niter on August 2nd for another Tour Rally in the Citrus Blossom Series presented by Santa Monica Sports Car Club. Rallymaster Rachel Smith has written this rally using some of her favorite roads\, which she says are “all about the view.” The rally will head West along SR 126\, but won’t quite go into Ventura County this time. After a few miles in the local hills\, the rally heads back into Santa Clarita\, ending at Toppers Pizza\, 23710 Valencia Blvd\, Santa Clarita (corner of Valencia and Magic Mtn). Come on out and help us celebrate the club’s 64th Anniversary! \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Competitor—Richta GPS Checkpoints app for timing and scoring\, with timing in tenths of seconds. The maximum penalty this month is 120 seconds (2 minutes) per checkpoint. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/ to download. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app!  \n\n\n\n Also\, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish\, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online at MotorSportReg at msreg.com/FFN082024. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start. We start in the rear lot at the Bank of America in Mission Hills.  In-person registration opens at 7:00 pm\, with the first car out at 8:01 pm; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 pm. \n\n\n\nIs your usual rally partner not available for this FFN? Let Jeanne know and she will attempt (no guarantees) to match you up with another single.  Contact Jeanne at ean21@juno.com.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. SUMMARY:WI: Coulee Classic Tour Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Chippewa Trail Weekend! This year\, we have two events: the Coulee Classic National Tour Road Rally on Saturday and the Chippewa Trail National GTA Rally on Sunday. \n\n\n\nCoulee Classic is a tour through the paved roads of Coulee country in SW Wisconsin\, especially Buffalo County. Speeds will be brisk. \n\n\n\nAlong the way\, you will pass through Elmwood (the UFO capital of WI)\, which will be celebrating UFO days. The usual Coulee Classic roads\, such as Center Creek\, Mike Varanick\, and McDonough\, provide great regularities. This year\, you also get to run the Waumandee Hill Climb course. \n\n\n\nLunch is at the Silvermoon near Alma WI. We will provide a hosted lunch to speed up mealtime. \n\n\n\nFrom the organizers: “The Coulee Classic was a traditional rally run in Buffalo County and put on by the Alfa Club. It ended at the Stone Barn pizza (which you will pass). This version ends at Lucette Brewing\, which also has great wood-fired pizza and beer and soft drinks. \n\n\n\nBoth Chippewa Trail Weekend rallies will use the MiRally GPS system for timing and scoring. SUMMARY:GA: Battery Garland RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce our latest road rally event for the greater Savannah area\, with a locally historic theme! Each car will drive on paved public roads using a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Competitor – Richta GPS app. Participants will be scored based on their arrival time at each defined checkpoint. We will start at McDonald’s in eastern Savannah\, where cars will depart 1 minute apart. The finish will be a sit-down restaurant in Tybee Island\, where scoring\, awards\, and lunch will be available (you are responsible for purchasing your own food; we encourage everyone to eat and support the location).  \n\n\n\nAre you new to road rallies or unsure what this is all about? Check out this (somewhat lengthy but humorous) video explanation.  \n\n\n\nAny car is allowed that meets all Georgia state laws and is insured to meet the state’s minimum requirements. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required at on-site registration. Each car is allowed as many people as there are seat belts in the vehicle\, but each car must have at least 2 people\, a Driver and a Navigator. There will be a starting location\, five (5) unmanned checkpoints\, followed by a sixth checkpoint at the finishing location. Team numbers will be assigned but the starting order will be determined randomly. \n\n\n\nClasses for this rally: Stock\, Limited\, and Seat of Your Pants. \n\n\n\n\nStock: Using your vehicle’s stock trip/odometer\, smartphone as a calculator\, and a stopwatch (perhaps the same or another smartphone). No calculator of any kind.\n\n\n\n\nOnline registration for the Driver and Navigator is required. To register\, please visit:  \n\n\n\nStarting Location: McDonald’s Finishing Location: The Crab Shack\, 40 Estill Hammock Rd\, Tybee Island\, GA 31328Registration Fee: $30 for SCCA members\, $50 for non-SCCA Members (Weekend Membership required)Estimated Duration: 40 miles\, just over 1.5 hours; breaks are allowed along the way at your leisure. Required Equipment: Dedicated smart phone with Richta Competitor mobile app\, cannot be used while the rally is active.
