SUMMARY:CA: USRRC 2024 Thunder Road RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:THUNDER ROAD is an 8-hour SCCA National Tour Rally on Saturday\, Nov. 9\, 2024\, and the first event of three rallies in the 2024 United States Road Rally Challenge. Rallymaster Joe Akerman has written a very scenic course with many things to keep folks on both sides of the car busy. The Monte Carlo format will include CZT at all restarts and checkpoints\, and creeping/stopping will be allowed. Thunder Road will finish near the Start. \n\n\n\nTo welcome and encourage participation at the USRRC\, any or all of these three rallies can be run as Regional rallies. Regional entrant finishes will not count toward the annual National Championship\, nor will they be included in Lifetime Points. The Regional versions will run simultaneously and use the same course and Route Instructions as the National rallies\, but will not be scored against the National competitors. The Regionals will have their own separate results and trophies. \n\n\n\nOther rallies in the 2024 United States RoadRally Challenge are: \n\n\n\nSTAGECOACH is a 6-hour SCCA National Tour Rally on Sunday\, Nov. 10\, 2024. Stagecoach Rallymaster Larry Scholnick has written a simple straightforward course through some of the tastiest local backroads. This rally will use the Flying restart truncate. All checkpoints will be identified in the Route Instructions. Stagecoach will finish near the Start. \n\n\n\nHIGHWAY ROBBERY is a 6-hour SCCA National Course Rally on Veterans Day\, Monday\, Nov. 11\, 2024. Highway Robbery Rallymaster Jeanne English has written a moderately challenging course utilizing variable Main Road Rules and covering some very exciting and picturesque driving roads. There will be variable main road determinants\, but no more than four at any time (often only two). The Rallymaster expects most teams to do most legs correctly. Highway Robbery will finish some distance south of Start\, heading back towards Los Angeles. \n\n\n\nAll three rallies will use the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints app for timing and scoring. The maximum penalty on all three rallies is 30 seconds (1/2 minute) per checkpoint. \n\n\n\nThe pre-entry National entry fee is $105 per car per rally for the Nationals or $270 for all three\, a savings of $15 per rally entry. The entry fee for the Regionals is $60 per car per rally or $135 for all three\, with the same savings offer of $15 per rally entry. \n\n\n\nThe weekend rally headquarters is the Hampton Inn and Suites\, Lancaster\, CA. The special room rate for the rally weekend is $125/night plus tax and includes free breakfast\, parking\, and WiFi. (A credit card is needed to make your reservation\, but you won’t be charged until the first night of your stay. Hotel cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before arrival without penalty.) SUMMARY:WI: Escape To Wisconsin Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Escape to Wisconsin Road Rally is a Navigational Scatter (NavScat) sanctioned by the SCCA Land O’Lakes Region. For SCCA purposes\, it is sanctioned as a GTA. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps\, and this distance is how you will be scored. There is a 30-mile penalty for each one you miss. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you by all of them. Although a map has been provided\, you may also use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route. \n\n\n\nSign-in time is 11 AM\, and Plotting begins at Noon. You have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. This includes some extra time in case you make mistakes along the way. \n\n\n\nYour score is the total miles from start to end. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Cell phone signal strength is not an issue since you will download all the data your phone needs before the rally. The app is free to download. SUMMARY:ON: Hagerty Maple Mille
DESCRIPTION:The Hagerty Maple Mille is a budget-minded driving adventure through Ontario for 1979 and earlier touring and sports cars (with exceptions for select newer cars on an application basis). This un-scored\, non-competitive event takes place entirely within the province of Ontario and consists of approximately 1000km of driving over three days. The Maple Mille is organized by Squamish Classic Car Adventures using straightforward route instructions. Each entrant is required to read the Supplementary Regulations\, which contain all the details and ‘rules’ for the event\, before completing the Entry Form. \n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Maple Mille will start on Friday\, September 20th\, 2024\, and finish on Sunday\, September 22nd\, 2024. To ensure an “adventure\,” the route will remain secret until competitors receive their entry packages at registration. Way-finding instructions will be detailed and clear\, and will not require any calculations or rally knowledge. The event consists of 100% paved roads\, with some remote routes and destinations. Driving for each day is scheduled during daylight hours. Car wash facilities are available at each overnight stop\, though our definition of ‘facilities’ is rather loose. The coin-op wash-bay down the road may suffice! \n\n\n\nVehicle Acceptance\n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Maple Mille Adventure is open to sport\, touring and classic cars from 1979 and earlier. Sorry\, no motorcycles on this event. All vehicles attending the Hagerty Fall Classic are expected to meet legal roadworthiness standards at an absolute minimum. Generally guests should ensure their vehicles are ready for a long weekend of driving through back-country and winding roads\, keeping in mind that short jaunts around town may not fully prepare your vehicle for long hours of remote highways. \n\n\n\nThe Delorean Rule\n\n\n\nVehicles made after 1979 are considered on a case-by-case basis\, under a rule we call “The Delorean Rule”. If you think your post-1979 car fits within the spirit of our events\, simply enter as per normal and ensure we have some photos and background story on the car. \n\n\n\nRReNews: The starting location may not be City Hall\, yet our calendar needs a starting location. Stay tuned for details as they become available.

SUMMARY:NY: Do It Again Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Time to head to Williamson to Do It Again! This time\, the SCCA Finger Lakes Region will visit Orbakers Drive-in\, see all the apple orchards\, pass Orbakers Farm Stand\, cruise by the lake\, and return to the drive-in again. Join us for some fun. Feel free to bring your lowered Miata for this all-paved road rally! \n\n\n\nThe Do It Again is a regularity contest as follows: You follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit. As you follow the route\, you will be timed at unknown locations. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them). The course is approximately 30 miles and should take about 55minutes to complete. Teams will repeat the course route at 3:00 + car #. Checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again for the second time around the route. Your score will be how close to the minute and hundredths is to the time you passed on the first loop. After all\, if you did it the first time\, you should be able to “do it again.” \n\n\n\nThe entry fee is $20 per car for SCCA members and a $15 Weekend Membership is available for fellow enthusiasts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n Leave a ReplyCancel reply \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.
