Each car will drive on paved public roads using a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints app. Participants will be scored based on their arrival time at each defined checkpoint. We will start at a fast food restaurant in southern Jacksonville where cars will depart one minute apart. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required at on-site registration. Each car is allowed as many people as there are seatbelts in the vehicle\, but each car is suggested to have at least two people: a Driver and a Navigator. There will be a starting location\, five (5) unmanned checkpoints\, followed by a sixth checkpoint at the finishing location. Team numbers will be assigned but the starting order will be determined randomly. \n\n\n\nThree classes for this rally are available: Stock\, Limited\, and Seat of Your Pants. The rally starts at Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City\, NJ\, on May 4\, 2024\, with a check-in time of 9:00 AM. The rally will be about a 4-hour 80-mile drive on all paved back roads through sparsely populated southern NJ\, finishing at the Finish Line Pub at New Jersey Motorsports Park. As Driver and Navigator\, you and your teammate will follow written route instructions at assigned average speeds. Average speeds are always at or below the speed limit for the road. You will have your time of arrival at each checkpoint recorded. The goal is to arrive at each checkpoint precisely on time. Penalty points are given equally for arriving too early (too fast) or too late (too slow).  Awards will be presented in eligible classes at the finish of about 3 PM. \n\n\n\nNo prior rally experience is necessary. This rally is designed to be accessible for teams new to the sport while still being a challenge for experienced teams. There are no tricky instructions. There is a 50-car/small truck limit to the number of entries. \n\n\n\nThe rally will use a smartphone app to time the contestants’ arrival at the checkpoints. The app uses GPS information from your phone to record your arrival time and will\, within a tenth of a second\, tell you how early or late you arrived. The app will also display your total score as you progress through the checkpoints. All contestants must have a cell phone with them for the rally. Cell phone signal strength is not an issue since you will download all the data needed to your phone prior to the rally. The app is free to download. This un-scored\, non-competitive event takes place entirely within the province of British Columbia and consists of approximately 1200km of driving over three days. The Spring Thaw is organized by Squamish Classic Car Adventures using straightforward route instructions. Each entrant must read the Supplementary Regulations\, which contain all the details and ‘rules’ for the event\, before completing the Entry Form. \n\n\n\nThe Hagerty Spring Thaw will start on Friday\, May 3rd\, 2024\, and finish on Sunday\, May 5th\, 2024. To ensure an “adventure\,” the route will remain secret until competitors receive their entry packages at registration. Sorry\, no motorcycles on this event. All vehicles attending the Hagerty Spring Thaw are expected to meet legal roadworthiness standards at an absolute minimum. This is not a race; it’s a game of precision driving where you’ll be challenged to arrive at each checkpoint at exactly the right time. Penalty points are assigned for being too fast or too slow. Trophies will be awarded to the teams with the best performances. There are no unpaved roads on the course.   \n\n\n\nYou’ll need a rally partner (Driver and Navigator) and a smartphone. The entry fee is $20 per person; two people are required in each car. Pre-registration is required; no walk-ins on the day of the event. In keeping with the Winter Rally Series format\, this is an evening TSD rally run at speeds within the local speed limits. \n\n\n\nRoute instructions are provided in Tulip diagram format (line drawings of each intersection) with mileages provided. Teams should have a wrist or stopwatch\, a calculator\, flashlight and a pen. A Novice School will be available prior to the Driver’s Meeting to help first-timers out. \n\n\n\nEntry fees are $45/car + $15 for Weekend Membership if one team member in the car is not an SCCA member. There is a 30-car limit\, so early registration is recommended (msreg.com). It is created for easy navigation and maximum driving fun through the Santa Monica Mountains. It is perfect for beginners\, as well as people who just want a relaxed drive with a little competition thrown in. \n\n\n\nRallymaster Paul McGaffey has written a pure tour course using Monte Carlo-style timing. You will get very simple\, turn-by-turn instructions with no tricks\, traps\, or boring average speeds. You will be given exact mileages and “Car Zero Times” at each Checkpoint. So\, no guesswork\, no complicated math. Just add your car number in minutes to the Car Zero Time\, and you know when to cross each clearly visible Checkpoint sign. If you get there early\, you may stop or creep without penalty.  \n\n\n\nThe rally finishes at the IHOP at Kanan and the 101 freeway in Agoura Hills. \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. Team information will carry over to Feb. 24.) \n\n\n\nThis St. Louis Region\, SCCA\, Wolf Moon 2024 is an evening Monte-Carlo-style tour and social event of about 60 miles similar to the Region’s Tulips by Night and Tulips Redux road rallies. Expect paved Madison County\, IL\, county roads\, easy-to-follow tulip diagrams for route instructions\, and several GPS checkpoints. \n\n\n\nWe will have Check-in at 5PM\, Safety Check at 545P\, and the first car departs at 601PM. \n\n\n\nThe Wolf Moon 2024\, will have a limited field of 20 teams. There is only pre-registration available for this event and you’ll find more details at Motorsportreg. We start from the Troy Park & Ride and will end at DeCamp Station Roadhouse on historic Route 66 (today\, Illinois 4) outside Staunton\, Ill. DeCamp Station has been a stop on Route 66 since the highway was established in 1926. Over its 98-year history\, DeCamp has served as a speakeasy\, gangster hangout\, brothel\, dance hall\, tourist camp/motor hotel\, and local restaurant/tavern. Today\, it is a classic neighborhood sports bar as well as a popular local venue that hosts summertime softball and volleyball leagues and tournaments. It’s a vaccine without pills or needles and has now been approved by the RRSS (which is not the FDA). \n\n\n\nThe route is all nicely paved and is nearly overloaded with checkpoints.  In a break from our norm\, the event will be scored in six sections with cumulative scoring within each section.  (If you don’t understand\, don’t fret.  It won’t be a problem.) \n\n\n\nThink of the vaccine as a simple drive with lots of feedback on your ability to maintain a constant speed. The checkpoints come so often that there’s little time for much correcting between some of the checkpoints. There are few speed changes. Free zones are through congested areas\, so there is no CAST issue stress there. With the number of checkpoints\, high checkpoint scores (without WORKING to get them) should be rare. Total scores may be another thing because there are SO MANY checkpoints\, and the cumulative scoring ripple. \n\n\n\nThis 80-mile route even has two bio break opportunities. \n\n\n\nThe starting point is the McDonald’s on Bartlett Ave. in Evansville.Check-in at 9:00 A.M.
