SUMMARY:WA: Raindrop Rally 2023 – Trees to Seas
DESCRIPTION:Raindrop 2023 Trees to Seas will start in Monroe and tour for 120 miles over 5-1/2 hours. Roads will be paved and suitable for any automobile.  \n\n\n\nRaindrop is a leisurely paced Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rally with fine driving roads\, minimum traffic\, and wonderful scenery. The rally is geared toward the novice entrant with no traps\, and with mileages for every instruction\, but precise timing will still be required to score well. Entrants receive instructions with specific\, clear directions at speeds at or below legal limits\, with specific times to start each section at one-minute intervals. Raindrop is a “closed control” (passage control) format where cars do not stop at checkpoints. The goal is to pass each checkpoint at the correct second\, and the car with least number of points wins. Precision timing is the main criteria\, but Rainier also emphasizes remote areas and spectacular scenery. \n\n\n\nDate: NOTE — RESCHEDULED to October 8\, 2023 (was May 7\, 2023) \n\n\n\nStart Location: Monroe Square (between Taco Time and Jack-in-the-Box).  \n\n\n\nFirst Car Out: 10:00 AM \n\n\n\nFinish Location: Orlando’s BBQ\, Oak Harbor\, WA \n\n\n\nRallymaster: Bill Walsh \n\n\n\nRegistrar: Eric Horst Contact Eric for questions about your registration or to make any changes after you register. \n\n\n\nEntry Fee: $50 per prepaid auto entry\, $15 for extra route book. No on-site registration. \n\n\n\nClasses: Unlimited\, Equipped\, Seat-Of-Pants\, and Novice. In order to be scored you must use your own Android or IOS device and load the Richta Competitor app. For an overview see the NWRC Introduction to Richta Competitor App (PDF). \n\n\n\nCar numbers will be assigned and the Richta Competitor event password will be e-mailed to all entrants on ±October 5th. SUMMARY:PA: USRRC 50th Anniversary Little Appalachian Rally
DESCRIPTION:Clyde Heckler\, Rallymaster\, is celebrating an anniversary during the 2023 United States Road Rally Challenge (USRRC) on Friday\, October 20th. This year’s Little Appalachian National Course Rally is the 50th Anniversary year of his first rally for the SCCA Philadelphia Region in 1973. It is also the first National Championship rally sanctioned by the Philadelphia Region since the 1983 Appalachian Road Rally\, 40 years ago! \n\n\n\nThe 50th Little Appalachian will be a throwback event\, as it is a course rally of moderate difficulty and will use the Abridged RoadRally Rules. It uses a fixed priority list\, including the principal road rule. There are no main road determinants\, yet we’ll use the onto rule and letter instructions. The route will be in Chester County\, known for its horse farms\, and Lancaster County\, an Amish area. \n\n\n\nAt the rally’s conclusion\, the contestants will head down to New Jersey for the final two rallies of the USRRC – The Jersey Devil National Tour and Up the Creek National Course Rally by Rallymaster Jim Wakemen. \n\n\n\nThis rally will use the Richta GPS Competitor App and the SCCA Abridged RoadRally Rules. \n\n\n\nHere are some images from the early years of the Appalachian National Rally: 1960 Rally Regulations and the 1958 rally plate.

DESCRIPTION:Cascade Sports Car Club’s 57th Ghoul’s Gambol Rally offers an easy-to-follow scenic drive on paved\, less-traveled roads starting in northwest Portland and ending at Rockaway Beach.  \n\n\n\nEntry requires a street-legal vehicle\, a licensed and insured driver\, a navigator\, and a smart device (e.g.\, cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app (the app is free). \n\n\n\nFrom CRRwUs 221101 – Save the date\, and we’ll have more details as they become available! We are also using a common location for all Oregon CSCC Rallies so that they will show in our calendars! We will amend these as locations become known from CSCC and the Rallymasters!

SUMMARY:NJ: Ciocca Corvette Fall 2023 RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Region of the Sports Car Club of America cordially invites you to join our fellow car enthusiasts for our Ciocca Corvette Fall Road Rally. The rally starts at Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City NJ on October 28\, 2023 with check in time of 9:00 am. The rally will be about a 4-hour 100-mile drive on all paved back roads through sparsely populated southern NJ\, finishing at the Finish Line Pub at New Jersey Motorsports Park. You and your teammate\, as Driver and Navigator\, will follow written route instructions at assigned average speeds. Average speeds are always at or below the speed limit for the road. You will have your time of arrival at each checkpoint recorded. The goal is to arrive at each checkpoint precisely on time. Penalty points are given equally for arriving to early (to fast) or to late (to slow). Awards will be presented in eligible classes at the finish about 3pm. \n\n\n\nNo prior rally experience is necessary. This rally is designed for people who are new to the sport of road rallying. There are no tricky instructions. There is a 50 car/small truck limit to the number of entries. \n\n\n\nThe rally will use a smart phone app for timing the contestants’ arrival at the checkpoints. The app uses GPS information from your phone to record your arrival time and will\, within a tenth of a seconds\, tell you how early or late you arrived. The app will also display your total score as you progress through the checkpoints. All contestants must have a cell phone with them for the rally. Cell phone signal strength is not an issue since you will download all the data needed to your phone prior to the rally. The app is free to download. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search Richta. Download the Richta competitor app. \n\n\n\nYou only need the following things: \n\n\n\nAny 4 wheeled street legal and insured car or small truck. \n\n\n\nA team of two people consisting of a Driver and Navigator. \n\n\n\nDriver must possess a current Driver’s license.  \n\n\n\nPay the entry fee of $30 per car ($15.00 per person). All cars with an SCCA member on the team will only pay $30 per car to enter. Cars with no SCCA members must pay an additional $15 for an SCCA Weekend Membership for the weekend and be covered by our club insurance. \n\n\n\nThe rally starts at Ciocca Corvette in Atlantic City\, NJ. Day of event check in begins at 9:00 am\, Contestants meeting at 10 am\, Rally begins at 10:30 am. \n\n\n\nThe rally finishes at the Finish Line Pub (NJMP\, 8000 Dividing Creek Rd\, Millville\, NJ 08332). First car should finish about 2:00pm. Trophy presentation will be about 3:00. \n\n\n\nSelect a Class as described below: Newbies should enter Stock \n\n\n\nStock: No limit on road rally calculating equipment but your mileage must be measured by the vehicle’s stock odometer located in its’ stock position. \n\n\n\nOpen: No limit on your road rally equipment\, trophy eligible at 5 cars entering this class. \n\n\n\nFor more information contact Rallymaster Jim Wakemen. \n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\n\n\nThe RoadRally will be conducted in full compliance with the Abridged Road Rally Rules (RRRs) as supplemented by the event’s General Instructions (GIs). \n\n\n\nEach rally team will be required to bring a smartphone that is equipped with the Richta Autonomous GPS Checkpoint App. This app will monitor your car’s position during the rally and will record the precise time at which you arrive at each Timing Control on the rally. Once you have arrived at a Timing Control\, the app will calculate your score for that leg and display it to you. \n\n\n\nEach rally team will be required to bring a completed emergency contact\, vehicle inspection\, and insurance form to registration when you perform on-site registration.
