SUMMARY:IN: Putnam Purple Cow Precision RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Putnam Purple Cow Precision is a Tour RoadRally designed to be run by individuals attending the SCCA Time Trial event at Putnam Park Road Course the weekend of July 1-2\, 2023. While the goal on track is to go fast\, the goal of a RoadRally is to drive with precision and observation. The course will take participants into Cloverdale and back to Putnam Park while highlighting some of the amenities and unusual sites in the area. The entire course can be driven in less than an hour.  \n\n\n\nThe rally uses Richta GPS Checkpoints\, and participants may run it any time at their convenience from registration on Saturday until mid-afternoon on Sunday\,  If you are joining us for pizza in Cloverdale on Saturday evening\, you can drive the first part of the rally from Putnam Park to Cloverdale on the way and then finish the return trip whenever you would like. \n\n\n\nThe cost of the RoadRally is $25 per car for members. If you are not an SCCA Member but are running the Time Trial Event the same weekend\, then your weekend membership also covers this event. If you are not an SCCA member and have not purchased a weekend membership covering July 1-2\, you must pay a $ 15 Weekend Membership fee at event check-in. \n\n\n\nTo make things interesting\, live scoring for the RoadRally may be viewed with the Richta GPS Competitor system all weekend. If you run the rally and think you could do better\, we will assign you a new car number for a $10 donation to the rally pot\, and you can rerun the event. The event winners will get 50% of the rally pot\, 2nd place will get 30%\, and 3rd place will receive 20%. \n\n\n\nThe only class for this event is Stock. You must use your car’s odometer. A simple calculation device is permitted. The rally is designed so that you can get a good score just by following the directions and maintaining the correct speed between checkpoints. It is designed for those who have not rallied before but is also challenging for experienced rallyists. We promise you will see things you probably have not seen before and be challenged by some good paved roads. There are no unpaved roads on this SCCA Indianapolis Region Putnam Purple Cow Precision Road Rally. \n\n\n\nItems Needed: \n\n\n\n\nStreet legal car\n\n\n\nTwo people in the car (Driver and Navigator)\n\n\n\nPen/pencil/highlighter\n\n\n\nClipboard\n\n\n\nDedicated cell phone or GPS-enabled tablet for the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoint App for our checkpoint scoring\n\n\n\nOdometer/GPS or some other way to calculate your mileage\n\n\n\nA calculator might be helpful\n\n\n\n\nEvent Requirements\n\n\n\nThis is an SCCA RoadRally that requires a street-legal vehicle with both a driver and a navigator in the vehicle.  Additional passengers are allowed\, but at least two individuals must be in the vehicle. SUMMARY:CA: June First Friday Niter Series
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, July 7\, 2023\, please join us for an Into the Night rally takeover of the SCCA Cal Club Santa Monica Sports Car Club First Friday Niter. The Rallymaster is Joe Akerman. This rally will be a Monte Carlo/TSD rally\, meaning you get turn-by-turn directions AND your target time at each Checkpoint. All Timed Checkpoints are listed in the Route Instructions and referenced by prominent signs on the course\, in the style of our recent Thunder Road and Two Lane Blacktop rallies. This rally is about 70 miles long and will take about 2 hours. \n\n\n\nThis event aims to enjoy driving sweeping\, challenging back roads at legal speeds while following detailed directions to pass a series of Checkpoints at just the right time. No need for advanced math. No navigational traps or tricks. No riddles and no gimmicks — just beautiful roads to drive with a focus on precision and accuracy. This is a team sport — the Driver and Navigator must work together to get it right. \n\n\n\nThere are no set speeds. Just run at the posted speed limits (the rally is timed at least two mph BELOW those limits and has added pauses where needed). If you reach a timed Checkpoint early\, you can pull over out of traffic lanes and either creep in or stop and wait for your target time to cross the Checkpoint. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone\, tablet\, or other Android or iOS device. Go to the Apple App Store\, Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/ to download the app. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nPlease register online via motorsportreg.com. DESCRIPTION:Start your engines and bring your thinking caps because the first annual Fast and Purr-ious Road Rally is this July 22nd at Bond Field in Barre. Bring your friends\, family\, or coworkers and form a team to decipher clues\, find Waypoints\, and win a prize at this super fun\, family-friendly event! A Road Rally is a fun game played in the local area! Teams will be given clues that must be deciphered to find their way to certain locations. Once a team has found all 10 locations (and take their photo at our Waypoint Markers)\, they will return to the start – the first team to get back with all 10 photos wins!  \n\n\n\nThe PartyThroughout the course of the Road Rally\, we will be hosting a fun faire and BBQ that is open to the public! Vendors\, games\, food and more will be available and all proceeds will go toward helping shelter cats and kittens with food\, litter\, and vet care as they look for their forever homes! Whether you are here to play or here to compete\, this party is sure to be a ton of fun!  \n\n\n\nThe TeamsThis event is family friendly so all ages are welcome to join! Form your team with friends\, family\, and coworkers and grab your car! Entry fee is $10 per person and teams can consist of however many people fit safely in your vehicle! Dress the part because we will have a Prize for the team with the most spirit! Teams will also be encouraged to fundraise before the event for our feline friends! The highest donating team will win a special prize so get ready to roll and you might just be the winner! \n\n\n\nThe GoalOur hope is to raise a total of $50\,000 – all of which will go toward the care of our cats! Every penny counts and every penny will go toward the cost of care and veterinary assistance for our shelter kitties. Did you know that a vet exam alone costs upwards of $150 per cat? Spay and neuters costs over $200 and vaccines nearly $150! It’s not easy keeping this many cats happy and healthy and we need your help to ensure they have all they need throughout the summer! DESCRIPTION:Quincy’s Quest Road Rally\, by the SCCA Southern Indiana Region\, will be Points Rally #4 in the Championship Season. This rally will use the Competitor Richta GPS app\, so you will need it installed on a smart device (phone or tablet) before you get there. \n\n\n\nPre-event registration is required.  We will not be doing registration on-site.  Drivers register first\, and then the Navigator registers. Please\, do not bring someone who is not registered. SUMMARY:PA: SCCA Heck's And Back Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Heck’s and Back Roadrally is sponsored by the Philadelphia Region SCCA with the cooperation of Blue Mountain Region. The Heck’s and Back GTA RoadRally is a question-and-answer Divisional Rally that will traverse some scenic back roads in Berks County\, many of which will feature hex signs common in the area. Rallymasters Bruce Gezon and Clyde Heckler have designed a course that features some questions containing a few tricks (traps) to separate the scores.  \n\n\n\nWe offer two classes: Experienced (team members have run five or more rallies combined) and Novice.  There will be awards (hex sign themed) for first and second in Experienced\, and first through third for Novice entries.     \n\n\n\nOur route will cover approximately 70 miles\, and you will have 4 hours to complete it. The route is totally paved\, so there are no worries about dirt/rocks. \n\n\n\nAfter you register\, approximately two weeks before the event\, you will receive general instructions explaining the rules for the rally\, how to follow the course\, a glossary of terms included in the route instructions\, scoring\, etc.  General instructions will also eventually be available on this webpage.  \n\n\n\nStart:Saucony Creek Brewery Company + Gastropub in Kutztown\, PA.    \n\n\n\nSchedule of Events:10:30 am Registration opens at Saucony Creek Brewing Company + Gastropub.   \n\n\n\nPlease park in the parking lot to the left of the outdoor patio as you enter the parking lot (not in the front). Your registration packet will include the route instructions and publicity material for other upcoming events in the area. All participants must sign a liability release\, and non-members must fill out the Weekend and Trial Membership forms and Minor Waivers for anyone under 18.  You may only have two adults in the car.  A child under ten does not count against the adult limit.   \n\n\n\nYou may depart whenever you are ready and satisfied with your route instructions. If you would like to have breakfast\, the Airport Diner (15110 Kutztown Rd) is less than a mile away\, but allow extra time as they are typically very busy on Sunday mornings.        \n\n\n\nFinish: Saucony Creek Craft Brewing Company + Gastropub. The non-member fee includes a $ 15-weekend membership fee\, which includes a $15 coupon toward Annual Membership if redeemed within 60 days. \n\n\n\nCars must be in working order and be insured with an auto insurance policy with liability limits of not less than $20\,000 /$40\,000/$10\,000 (no exceptions). Each entrant must certify that the car entered is legally on the road and is either owned by the entrant or used by the entrant with the owner’s permission.  Any participant under 18 must have an SCCA Minor Waiver\, printed in color and signed by all parents/guardians. \n\n\n\nNon-members are encouraged to complete their Weekend Membership forms before the event and bring them along to expedite registration.
