SUMMARY:WI: United States Road Rally Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The 2021 United States Road Rally Challenge\, sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America over the July 30 – August 1st weekend\, will consist of one National Course Rally followed by two National Tour Rallies. All events will follow the 2021 RRR’s for Championship rallies. At this time it’s hard to say anything about the gatherings before and after the rally. There are no known COVID rules at the Hotel or other gathering points. \n\n\n\nThe weekend kicks off with a reception on Thursday evening at the host hotel. Clarence Westberg will be the Rallymaster for the Sparta Trails National Tour on Saturday\, and Mike Thompson will be the Rallymaster for the Sturculinus Creek National Course on Friday and the Badger Bash National Tour on Sunday. Three National Rallies in three days! \n\n\n\nAll rallies will begin at the Best Western Plus Sparta Trail Lodge (608-269-2664). The block on rooms expires on June 30. The magic words for called-in reservations are United States Road Rally Challenge\, Rally\, or Road Rally. The rate is $119 per night. \n\n\n\nRegistration closes July 25th\, 11:59PM.

SUMMARY:CA: First Friday Niter Social RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The First Friday Niter Series has a long history with the Santa Monica Sports Car Club\, a Chapter of the SCCA California Sports Car Club.  \n\n\n\nJoin us for the August First Friday Niter on August 6. Jeanne English is the Rallymaster\, and she has written a rally again using some of her favorite roads in the foothills surrounding the Santa Clarita Valley. This time there will be some traps\, all less than a minute in trap value. We will be using the Richta Competitor app (free download) for timing to the nearest second. There will be a restart after each checkpoint\, and each checkpoint is listed in the route instructions. This means\, in effect\, that the rally is mostly a free zone since you only need to be on time at the checkpoints\, and they are all listed. The rally finishes at Topper’s Pizza Place\, 18417 Soledad Canyon Rd\, Santa Clarita\, 661-222-7888. \n\n\n\nRegistration opens at 7 PM\, with a Beginner/Richta App meeting at 740 PM. The first car is out at 801 PM. The entry is $25\, with a $10 discount if either the Driver or Navigator is an SCCA Member. Should you run the FFNs regularly\, this becomes an excellent reason to join the SCCA and other discounts available from National.

SUMMARY:CT: New England Region Hurdle 2021 National GTA Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Hurdle Rally is a Game-Tour-Adventure (GTA) Rally. After a short odometer check\, contestants will receive a map of Connecticut and a list of questions. The objective is to answer as many questions as possible in the least amount of miles (think scavenger hunt). \n\n\n\nHurdle 2021 will be run in compliance with the 2021 NER/SCCA Road Rally Regulations\, as amended. Hurdle 2021 is sanctioned by the SCCA as a National GTA and  NER/SCCA as a Special Event. \n\n\n\nTeams are limited to two adults (over age 16) per vehicle. DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join the SCCA Detroit Region for this 190-mile time-speed-distance National Course RoadRally run on an entertaining mix of well-maintained paved (60%) and unpaved (40%) country roads around the state recreation areas and farmlands of Southeastern Michigan. Chelsea\, Michigan\, is conveniently located just 45 miles from the Detroit Metro Airport. This late summer daytime event will challenge your ability to apply the route following rules and directions to follow the prescribed rally route. Both Numbered and Lettered Route Instructions will be used on the Are you Territorial Road Rally?\, along with modified “Onto” and “T” Main Road Determinants. The rally will be novice-friendly for any rallyists already experienced with Tour rallies. The traps will be looped to minimize the chances of getting lost and GPS recovery points if you do. \n\n\n\nNOTE: This rally will use the Richta app for timing and scoring. SUMMARY:CA: San Diego Region Coast to Coast Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Coast to Coast Road Rally\, by Rallymaster Ric Senior\, will be run Saturday\, August 21st\, 2021\, departing in the morning and finishing before noon. A novice/beginner meeting will be shared before the event. The drivers’ meeting will be held online Friday night before the event at 6:00 PM via Zoom. The Coast to Coast Road Rally is expected to cover about 60 miles\, mostly on fun-to-drive country roads following legal limits. The rally will take approximately 2.5 hours. \n\n\n\nWe’ll start at La Costa Avenue Park & Ride before heading to the coast\, then into the twisty back roads of San Diego County and finishing in Solano Beach. The entry fee is $25 per car. The Driver must be an SCCA Member. Note that weekend memberships are available during registration for $15 (and these can be used as credit towards a full membership). \n\n\n\nYou will need paper and a pencil/pen\, a watch or clock with a second hand; a stopwatch and a clipboard will be helpful. A valid driver’s license and proof of current liability insurance are required. Your vehicle must meet basic safety standards (e.g.\, lights\, brakes\, windshield wipers\, and horn must work). \n\n\n\nThe object of a navigational rally is to follow the rally course at the assigned (legal) speeds and arrive at each checkpoint on time\, not early\, not late. Your score on each leg of the rally is based on how early or late you arrive at each checkpoint.

SUMMARY:WI: Milwaukee Region Mini Monte Regional Tour
DESCRIPTION:Milwaukee Region SCCA will be presenting a Monte Carlo-style Rallye on August 21\, 2021. The Rallye will be about 5 hours in length and will explore the back roads\, mostly in Sheboygan County. We will be visiting the northern sections of the Kettle Moraine Forest and passing Road America\, and driving a portion of the old Elkhart Lake Street Race Course. As usual\, roads are twisty\, speeds brisk\, and the scenery spectacular. \n\n\n\nA Monte Carlo-style Rallye is a bit different and will present new challenges. Instead of assigning an average speed (CAST)\, you will be given the exact mileage and a Car Zero Time for each control. The contestant needs to determine how fast to drive to arrive exactly on time. As usual\, points are assessed for each second you are early or late at each control. You can also expect to find some controls that are very closely spaced. \n\n\n\nYou can look over the General Instructions and register at http://msreg.com/MonteRallye21. SUMMARY:PA: Steel Cities End of Summer Showcase Festival – Monopoly III Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Steel Cities Region\, SCCA\, as part of this year’s End of Summer Showcase\, will stage the Monopoly III Road Rally on Saturday\, August 28\, 2021.  \n\n\n\nThe 60 mile\, approximately 3 hour afternoon event will start and finish at Pitt Race\, the Pittsburgh International Race Complex\, in Wampum\, PA\, just off the PA Turnpike\, Beaver Valley Exit 13\, 45 miles north of Pittsburgh\, PA.  \n\n\n\nLike similar Sports Car Club of America Road Rally events\, this one will use paved\, public\, lightly traveled country roads. Road Rally is not a race. You will travel below the speed limit searching for the correct signs to move around a Monopoly game board. The winning team will be the one who comes closest to the correct trip around that board. This event will wind its way through tall forests\, past large farms and small towns.  \n\n\n\nNo rally experience is necessary but you will need a street-legal car\, a Driver\, and a Navigator. The entry fee is $25 per car\, and only the driver needs an SCCA membership (weekend membership can be purchased at registration).  \n\n\n\nTo allow Steel Cities to prepare for the event\, teams must contact Rick Beattie by 9:00 PM\, August 25\, 2021\, to confirm their attendance and to receive further information.
