SUMMARY:MI: Spring Fling Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Saginaw Valley Region rally will be a TSD (Time\, Speed\, Distance) Rally of approximately 100 miles with checkpoints via your Smart Phone. There are approximately 1.5 miles of hard-packed unpaved road.   \n\n\n\nThe rally will have a Zoom Driver’s Meeting\, Wednesday\, May 12th at 7 PM. We will gather at 10 AM Sunday\, with the first car out at 11:01 AM. DESCRIPTION:We’d love to have you join your fellow car enthusiasts for the 2021 Do It Again Rally (aka TSD or “The Social Distance”)\, sanctioned by the SCCA Finger Lakes Region.  \n\n\n\nWhat is it: We have an opportunity for a little fun in these trying times. We are offering a unique Social Rally\, just for fun. It is not part of any series or serious points race. \n\n\n\nWhere: Starts and ends at Tom Wahl’s on Route 5&20 in Avon \n\n\n\nWhen: Sunday\, 5/16/21.  Check In: 12:30-1:30pm\, First car off at 2:01 (more on timing below) \n\n\n\nHow much: The entry fee is $20/car plus $5 for each weekend membership. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Avon Food Pantry to help the local community. \n\n\n\nEvent Day Details:  \n\n\n\nThis is a ‘minimal contact’ event. Click here to register online through Hagerty MotorsportReg or email the info to the Rallymaster if you want to enter. There is a limit of 45 cars.The rally is:You follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit.As you follow the route\, you will be timed at locations unknown to you. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them.)The course is approximately 31 miles and should take about 56 minutes to complete.Teams then repeat the course route at 3:00+car #.For the second time around the route\, checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again. The score will be how close the minute and hundredths are to the time you passed on the first loop (if you did it the first time\, you should be able to do it a second time\, right?)If you take a TA on the second passage\, text it to the phone number on the routes with a mileage where it occurred. Once a TA is taken\, the TA time applies for the rest of the second loop.Cars will have window chalk or magnetic number on each side of the car so the checkpoint worker can identify the car as it passes.The entry fee is $20/car plus $5 for each weekend membership. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Avon Food Pantry to help the local community.A waiver will be placed on a picnic table behind and outside Tom Wahl’s. Everyone that competes must sign the waiver. We ask everyone to bring their own pen and sign it individually\,Routes would be emailed to teams on the morning of the event.There will be a short driver’s meeting at 1:45\, before the event.The results will be calculated after the event and emailed to all competitors.There will be a ‘print your own trophy’ for all participants.  (In the interest of social distance.)We may even do a Zoom Meeting (virtual happy hour) for results to share rally stories and enjoy some after the event.\n\n\n\nIn light of the current COVID-19 situation\, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. SUMMARY:NH: Big Lap RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Big Lap Rally will run on Saturday\, May 22nd\, starts at the Epson\, NH\, McDonald’s\, Rt 4. This auto event will challenge teams of a Driver and a Navigator to follow tulip instructions as they explore approximately 140 miles of central NH backroads. Expert teams will be challenged to stay on course and on time. Novices are welcome and should have no problem following the tulip instructions. Both paved and unpaved public roads will be used. \n\n\n\nEvent Timeline\, May 22: \n\n\n\n   – 7:00 – 8:15 AM Registration opens 7:00 AM in dirt lot behind McDonalds \n\n\n\n     – 8:30 AM meeting for all contestants \n\n\n\n     – 9:00 AM rally starts \n\n\n\n     –  12:00 PM approx – lunch break in Tilton\, NH \n\n\n\n      –  3:30 PM approx – completion of rally and presentation of awards. \n\n\n\nOn-line registration closes on 5/20\, click here to register your team today! \n\n\n\nThis event is not a race and all speeds are within posted speed limits. DESCRIPTION:Second Hand Roads is a simple\, straightforward Time-Speed-Distance Road Rally\, presented by the SCCA Northern New Jersey Region in association with the Motorsport Club of New Jersey and the Raritan Valley Sports Car Club. All speeds will be at or below the posted speed limits. This is a rally\, not a race. \n\n\n\nA Smartphone GPS App is required to be timed on the event! It is a free download and available for both Apple and Android.  \n\n\n\nThis event is open to the general public and requires only a car or light SUV/truck\, pen/pencil and clipboard\, and an accurate timepiece and smartphone to compete. SUMMARY:IN: CASTatrophic Times Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:CASTastrophic Times is a fairly brisk rally and is mostly run on the fun roads of Henderson County\, Kentucky. The route is about 100 miles and takes just under 2.5 hours. \n\n\n\nThe gathering point is in the Hardees. Entrant check-in and tech will be from 12:30 to 1:00 PM\, with the first car out about 1:30. \n\n\n\nFollowing SIR/SCCA COVID-19 policy\, the event is motorsportreg.com online registration only. You must register before 6:00 P.M. Saturday. The driver must register first. The navigator then connects to a registered driver. \n\n\n\nThe cost is $32 per car. There’s an additional $10 charge for non-SCCA member drivers. When payment is processed after the event\, SCCA member or not\, the SIR ‘Pay to Play’ discount will be applied. That’s a $5 saving to those that have run the previous rally…and running this rally gets you ‘Pay to Play’ for our next rally. \n\n\n\nThe main road rules in use will be following the center line and straight as possible. There’s no T rule and thus no counting of opportunities at T’s. There are lots of references to road numbers throughout the route. It should be easy to follow. \n\n\n\nNovice tutoring will be offered at about noon. If you’ve only tried autocrossing\, this rally could open your eyes to how much late braking and heavy throttle application it takes to maintain a 48-55 MPH average on roads that have hills\, bends\, and some sharp turns! \n\n\n\nPS:  On the Apple or Android smartphone or tablet device of your choice\, please have the newest Richta Competitor application installed. A new version was released recently. It’s a free app. Teams MUST devote one device to running the application to be timed at the checkpoints.  The route has been tested with Android version 1.20.

SUMMARY:AK: Cruisin' Thru the Memories Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The 1st Annual Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds Road Rally\, will be held on Saturday\, May 29th\, 2021\, with starting locations from the Diamond M Ranch in Kenai and from Hornaday Park in Homer. The 70th Kenai Peninsula Fair will be held August 13-15th. \n\n\n\nAll signups by May 10th will receive a free commemorative tee shirt with their Registration. Entry fee is $50 per vehicle and shirts will be available for sale during Registration. \n\n\n\nThe following documents\, valid on the date of the event\, must be shown to the rally officialsupon registration (failure to do so is grounds for exclusion):• Driver’s License for anyone listed as “driver”• Vehicle registration• Proof of insurance• Signed waiver forms from all participants• Signed Parental Consent form for drivers under the age of 18  \n\n\n\nAll drivers must be at least 16 years of age or older\, have a valid and current drivers’ license\,registration\, and proof of insurance. All drivers that are 18-years old and below must have aParental Consent Form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Each car is required to have oneDriver and at least one Navigator. The Rally is a timed event\, but not a race so it is required tofollow all traffic and safety laws. Estimated traveling times between the checkpoints will beposted on the instruction sheet at the start of the rally\, the objective being to arrive as close aspossible to the given time.      By participating in this event\, all participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by theseregulations. These regulations are intended to assist in the conduct of competitors and to furthergeneral safety. They are a guide and in no way guarantee against injury or death to participants\,spectators or others. No express or implied warranties of safety or fitness for a particularpurpose shall be intended or result from publication or compliance with these regulations. \n\n\n\nDuring the rally\, the following regulations will apply and any driver caught in violation will bedisqualified:• Always obey all traffic and safety laws and posted speed limits.• Always watch for children at play.• Watch for and slow down at speed bumps.• Be respectful of residents when driving through neighborhoods.• Keep car number visible in the front window at all times.• No change of crew and/or vehicle will be permitted during the rally.• Any car decorations must not hinder the operation of the vehicle during the rally.
