DESCRIPTION:WATKINS GLEN\, NY – The Toyota Green Grand Prix\, a showcase of motoring technology that aims for a cleaner environment\, is returning to the famed Watkins Glen International race course on Thursday\, October 22nd\, 2020.The single-day event will feature a fuel-efficiency competition for pre-registered drivers of alternate-fueled vehicles\, hybrids and traditional gasoline-powered and diesel-powered vehicles. Individuals\, colleges and universities\, car clubs and manufacturers are all invited to participate.Entries in the rallies are now being accepted through the Toyota Green Grand Prix website.The diversity of the day’s activities emphasizes the breadth of the goals of the Green Grand Prix. “The mission of the Toyota Green Grand Prix is educational\, to promote innovation in sustainable transportation technologies\,” said Bob Gillespie\, chairman of the Green Grand PrixCorp.\, a non-profit organization. “We are proud that our event\, in its twelthth year\, attracts students from universities\, colleges and high schools. We want the Green Grand Prix to be a means of encouraging technology students to stay in the Northeast to help move our region to become a center for clean energy.”The Toyota Green Grand Prix’s rallies are sanctioned by the SCCA will offer up the challenges and excitement of driving on the race track and driving on open roads. \n\n\n\nThe first event of the day will be the Doris Bovee Memorial Road Rally. This is a Time-Speed-Distance event held on scenic public roads of the Finger Lakes Region. Drivers and navigators will be scored on their ability to follow a challenging course at precise legal speeds. A 100-mile\, fuel economy event on the 2.45 mile WGI short track will follow in the afternoon. This is essentially the same configuration as the original 1957 track. The rallies are open to nearly all classes of road vehicles. The afternoon fuel economy event will include the Prius Challenge\, with special categories of competition for all generations of Toyota Prius. A class for Exhibition category vehicles will also be included. \n\n\n\nMany hybrids\, plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles are expected.The Doris Bovee Foundation is one of the Green Grand Prix’s key supporters\, and the morning event is named in the honor of Doris Bovee\, who was a well-known area environmentalist and taught for many years in the Corning-Painted Post (NY) school district .She was known for her love of plants and birds. Ms. Bovee was also involved with SCCA road rallies and was part of the Glen Region SCCA at its inception. The rallies are sponsored by the Glen Region Sports Car Club of America and are the only official SCCA road rallies of their kind in the nation. Other important supporters of the event are Corning Enterprises of Corning\, NY and the Central New York Clean Cities Coalition based in Rochester\, NY.

SUMMARY:WI: Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this five hour\, 110-mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nStart and finish location:  Nagawaukee Shopping Center\, just north of I-94 at the HWY 83 exit\, Delafield. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens at 9:00 AM. The first car departs at 11:01 AM\, and we anticipate the first car finished at approximately 4:15 PM. \n\n\n\nCost:  $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. SUMMARY:NJ: Fall Foliage Divisional Tour Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Region will be holding three Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rallies this year. All three rallies will be SCCA Divisional Tour Rallies. The instructions will be easy to follow. Contestants will need to have a  smartphone (or tablet) and have the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints  App downloaded before Registration; it is a free download and available for both Apple and Android.  \n\n\n\n Vehicles will be timed at numerous checkpoint locations on the course by use of the Rallymaster – Richta GPS Checkpoints App. Teams will be scored on how close they arrive at their perfect calculated official time at the checkpoints.   \n\n\n\nThe start and finish of the rallies are at Carolina Blue Restaurant. Sign in from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. Awards will be presented to the Driver and Navigator\, who get the best total score for the day in several categories.   \n\n\n\nSigning up before the day of the rally is highly advisable and very important. There is a limit of 30 cars entered for each event\, and the Rallymaster needs to have ample Route Instructions printed for each Team.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Belleville Road Rally is this Saturday\, November 7th. \n\n\n\nSafety measures are being put in place to protect everyone from COVID. There will be NO large group gatherings. The only folks the majority of you will come in contact with are the members of your own car. Clues will only need to be picked up by one member of the car. Of all the stops\, only two are indoor and there will be no requirements to stay.  \n\n\n\nAs always\, if possible\, we ask that you patronize any business that you can – especially during these trying times. Additionally\, we request that masks be worn if you come in contact with anyone outside of your vehicle. As for game pieces – all cars will be provided a couple of pairs of latex gloves to use when grabbing each piece. \n\n\n\nSo pack your snacks\, charge your phones\, and meet in the Sugar River Lanes parking lot on Saturday morning. SUMMARY:DE: Bridges of the Brandywine III
DESCRIPTION:The second rally of 2020\, sanctioned by the Brandywine Motorsport Club\, will be held on Saturday\, November 21st. The Bridges of the Brandywine III rally route is set on fun and twisty roads in northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania. The course is approximately 60 miles long and will take about 2 to 2-1/2 hours to complete. All roads are paved although some may be bumpy in places. This rally is centralized on the many bridges in our area that span the Brandywine River.  \n\n\n\nSet up in a style similar to the TSD rallies put on by BMC in the ’50s & ’60s\, this rally should be fun for all rally enthusiasts. All checkpoints are DIY and require only basic math.  \n\n\n\nStart Location: Meet at the ‘Greenville Center’ sign for check-in. There will be onsite registration at 12:00 PM. The first car departs at 1:00 PM + car number. \n\n\n\nFinish Location:  The rally ends at Greenville Center. There will be no BMC-sponsored dinner due to indoor dining restrictions. However\, feel free to visit any of the lovely restaurants in the Greenville area. \n\n\n\nClasses: The Bridges of the Brandywine III will have two classes: Novice (have not participated in more than four TSD-style rallies in the past) and Expert (have participated in five or more TSD-style rallies in the past). We will continue that tradition and handover 90% of all proceeds to worthwhile charitable organizations from this year’s event.  \n\n\n\nYou solve a puzzle\, then drive to the point on the map with the corresponding number of the puzzle answer. Once there\, you look for hidden clues. The one that gets the most puzzles and clues correct wins! Many teams will choose to run when there is a group on the night of December 12th\, yet you can participate when you please. \n\n\n\nSpectacular Houses! This event has\, in the past\, shown the most spectacular houses in the Schaumburg\, Hoffman Estates\, Elk Grove\, and Arlington Heights areas. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 39th year of the Winter Rally Series\, sanctioned by Finger Lakes Region SCCA. The 2021 series will consist of six Saturday night\, straight-forward\, driver’s style\, time\, speed & distance (TSD) rallies (using tulip diagrams). The first of the series were held in December 2020. \n\n\n\nThese General Instructions (GI’s) will apply to all of the events and will contain most of the information you will need to compete. Each event will include an addendum to provide information unique to that event. If there is a conflict\, the addenda will take precedence. \n\n\n\nA team is classified by the most experienced person in the vehicle.EQUIPPED Any team using equipment where the time calculating device receives direct input from the mileage- measuring device (Zeron\, Alpha\, Speed Pilot\,Timewise\, Halda\, Joe’s House O’ etc.).LIMITED The distance measuring device and calculating device may not provide direct input to each other. Allowable equipment includes rally tables\, Stevens wheel\, Alpina\, Curta\, Autopacer\, slide rule\, hundredths reading odometer\, and any calculator. “Unconnected” rally computers are NOT acceptable. Use of a smartphone or other device in any function other than the clock\, or 4 function calculator\, or GPS navigation will require running in Limited.STOCK Any team using a stand-alone clock and a stock odometer in the stock location\, plus any of these: tables\, slide rule\, single memory four-function electronic calculator. GPS units (or smartphones used as a navigational aid only) are allowed in Stock. SUMMARY:AB: Trail of the Gnu
DESCRIPTION:The Trail of the Gnu is a challenging winter navigational rally\, a round of the Rallywest TSD Championship\, the B.C. TSD Rally Championship and also part of the CSCC TSD Rally Series. The Gnu will run under Rallywest rules\, found on www.rallywest.com (see sec 4). The approximate length of the rally is 500km\, of which no more than 20% will be on clear pavement\, with the remaining 80% or more on snow\, ice\, mud\, gravel\, or some exciting combination thereof. There will be a maximum of 250km between fuel stops. \nAlthough hosted by the Calgary Sports Car Club\, the Gnu is based out of Rocky Mountain House\, and every year the stunning back roads and mountain backdrop of the area have raised both the risks and the rewards of this challenging event. SUMMARY:TX: Tick Tock RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Tick Tock Rally\, an SCCA Regional Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) tour rally over paved backroads of Denton and Cooke counties. A precision driving event at fun speeds to (re)introduce TSD rallying to the Texas Region. This will be a Monte Carlo-style rally. Course following is easy with mileage on every instruction and a sign reference\, if there is one.  We score you on how close to the perfect time you arrive at checkpoint locations along the route.  No calculations involved.  We tell you where every control is and the perfect time to arrive there.  All you have to do is arrive at that time.  Get one point for each second early or late; a low score wins. \n\n\n\nIt is not a speed or racing contest. You will be timed at the checkpoints by means of the Richta GPS smart phone app.  Scores are automatically reported to the Rallymaster.  No score sheet to fill out. We will send you information on it after you pre-register. Also\, we plan to conduct a Rally School via Zoom (currently scheduled for April 25th) to help prepare for the rally. It’ll include a short test rally that you can run to see how the app works before rally day. We encourage you to attend the School. \n\n\n\nThe rally will begin and end at HL Brockett Elementary School\, with Registration beginning at 1030A. The first car leaves out at 12P + your car number. The route\, laid out by Rallymaster Liz Witt\,  is approximately 87 miles\, with two rest breaks along the course where you can get fast food as well.   \n\n\n\nRegistration will be on Hagerty Motorsportreg.com\, with the entry fee of $25 for SCCA Members and $35 for Weekend Members. Three classes: First-timer (neither crew member has run a rally before)\, Novice (two rally trophies or less)\, General\, and Master (this is an optional class: no trophies).  \n\n\n\nIn light of the current COVID-19 situation\, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures have been developed and will be put into place to support this objective. You should not have to get out of your car.  All of the registration materials and rally materials needed for the event will be available online or sent to you via email\, and can be completed and returned ahead of the event or\, if applicable\, you can print them and bring them with you. In some cases (e.g.\, Minor Waivers that have not been notarized) we will witness you signing the completed form. We will also send you the General Instructions and Route Instructions to print out at home. \n\n\n\nUltimately\, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you\, comply with applicable COVID-19 guidelines and make the decision on whether or not to participate.

SUMMARY:IN: Monte ReDeux RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Indianapolis Region heads out on the Monte ReDeux Road Rally\, on Saturday\, May 1st.  \n\n\n\nThe Monte ReDeux is a time-speed-distance rally designed specifically for beginners but fun for non-beginners as well. This is a Monte Carlo Tour-style rally that uses the Richta App for timing. At each restart point\, you will be given the mileage from the restart point to the subsequent checkpoint\, and the exact time in minutes and seconds that you should take to get there.  At each restart point\, you will re-zero your trip odometer and leave at the beginning of the next minute\, as observed on the Richta App. After you leave the restart point\, the App will tell you what minute you started on. Simply add the leg time given in your route instructions to that restart time\, and you will know the exact time you need to arrive at the next control. It is quite possible for Novices to score very near zero on controls. SUMMARY:WI: Badger Burrow Regional Tour RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for the Badger Burrow Regional Tour RoadRally\, a five-hour\, 120 mile time-speed-distance road rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the Driftless area southwest of Madison\, Wisconsin. This is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nRegistration closes Friday\, May 7th\, at 5PM\, so don’t delay in getting your team registered! There will be no onsite registration. Cost is $40 per car\, with a minimum of two people per car\, yet you may have up to four people in your vehicle. \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT:  The Badger Burrow uses automatic scoring and GPS checkpoints. You will be timed automatically as your vehicle passes the checkpoint location and your score will be immediately displayed.  Contestants need to use a smartphone during the rally\, running the Richta Competitor App. Please download the app from the Google Playstore (Android) or the Apple App Store.  Please read the Appendix of the General Instructions for further details.

SUMMARY:NV: Sierra Foothills Spring Trek Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Reno Region will kick off their Spring Meeting will be a social (non-competitive) road rally followed by a brief meeting and no-host eats and drinks at Casino Fandango. \n\n\n\nJoin the SCCA Region Region for a spirited drive through the Eastern Sierra Foothills on Saturday afternoon\, May 8\, 2021\, beginning at 2 PM\, from the Carson City Walmart Supercenter. This SCCA Trek is a non-competitive driving event intended to foster social interaction among participants. The Trek will use a “convoy style-follow the car ahead of you” format. Driving time will be approximately 2 hours plus time for sightseeing stops and a pit stop or two. The Trek will conclude at the Casino Fandango with a very brief business meeting and no-host lunch/dinner and drinks. \n\n\n\nEveryone is welcome to join the Trek Rally in any vehicle that is licensed to operate on public highways. Drivers must have a government issued driver’s license. \n\n\n\nThe basic route is as follows: \n\n\n\nFrom Walmart turn right (South) on US-395. \n\n\n\nTurn Right on Jacks Valley Rd.
