DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Region will hold three Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rallies this year. All three rallies will be SCCA Divisional Tour Rallies. The instructions will be easy to follow. Contestants must have a  smartphone (or tablet) and have the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints  App downloaded before Registration; it is a free download and available for both Apple and Android.  \n\n\n\nVehicles will be timed at numerous checkpoint locations on the course using the Rallymaster – Richta GPS Checkpoints App. Teams will be scored on how close they arrive at their perfect calculated official time at the checkpoints.   \n\n\n\nThe start and finish of the rallies are at Carolina Blue Restaurant. Sign in from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. Awards will be presented to the Driver and Navigator\, who get the best total score for the day in several categories.   \n\n\n\nSigning up before the day of the rally is highly advisable and very important. There is a limit of 30 cars entered for each event\, and the Rallymaster needs to have ample Route Instructions printed for each Team.

DESCRIPTION:The Oneonta Rotary Club has borrowed a clever fundraising idea that will keep people engaged in a fun activity this Sunday as Rotary holds their first Road Rally Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser on Sunday\, October 18th. \n\n\n\nCars must cross the finish line at the Quality Inn by 4:30 p.m. that day to be eligible for prizes. Teams will be judged on a combination of time\, mileage\, number of clues correctly answered and group photos. All teams are eligible for the Random Draw prize. Teams that dress in costume and/or decorate their cars are eligible to win a Spirit Award. Winners will be announced at the club meeting on October 22 and will be notified by phone. \n\n\n\nPrize winners receive a gas card or other automotive-themed gift certificate or item and the Oneonta Rotary Club will donate a mini-grant in your honor\, to the local community organization of your choice\, selected from the following: Catholic Charities Caring Connections\, Family Services Association\, Opportunities for Otsego Violence Intervention Program\, St. James Feeding Ministries which includes the Lord’s Table and the Loaves and Fishes Pantry\, St. Mary’s Church Food Pantry\, The Salvation Army Food Bank and Saturday’s Bread. Mini-grants range from $50 to $500. \n\n\n\nCost for the Road Rally is $25 for 18 years of age and older; $10 for 12-17; and free for under 12. Each team must consist of at least two adults. Participants will also have the option of purchasing a take home dinner from the Quality Inn which will donate 50% of sales to the Oneonta Rotary Club. \n\n\n\nProceeds from the event benefit the work of the Oneonta Rotary Club. Please note that to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe experience\, all participants must wear a mask and practice appropriate social distancing when out of their vehicles.

DESCRIPTION:WATKINS GLEN\, NY – The Toyota Green Grand Prix\, a showcase of motoring technology that aims for a cleaner environment\, is returning to the famed Watkins Glen International race course on Thursday\, October 22nd\, 2020.The single-day event will feature a fuel-efficiency competition for pre-registered drivers of alternate-fueled vehicles\, hybrids and traditional gasoline-powered and diesel-powered vehicles. Individuals\, colleges and universities\, car clubs and manufacturers are all invited to participate.Entries in the rallies are now being accepted through the Toyota Green Grand Prix website.The diversity of the day’s activities emphasizes the breadth of the goals of the Green Grand Prix. “The mission of the Toyota Green Grand Prix is educational\, to promote innovation in sustainable transportation technologies\,” said Bob Gillespie\, chairman of the Green Grand PrixCorp.\, a non-profit organization. “We are proud that our event\, in its twelthth year\, attracts students from universities\, colleges and high schools. We want the Green Grand Prix to be a means of encouraging technology students to stay in the Northeast to help move our region to become a center for clean energy.”The Toyota Green Grand Prix’s rallies are sanctioned by the SCCA will offer up the challenges and excitement of driving on the race track and driving on open roads. \n\n\n\nThe first event of the day will be the Doris Bovee Memorial Road Rally. This is a Time-Speed-Distance event held on scenic public roads of the Finger Lakes Region. Drivers and navigators will be scored on their ability to follow a challenging course at precise legal speeds. A 100-mile\, fuel economy event on the 2.45 mile WGI short track will follow in the afternoon. This is essentially the same configuration as the original 1957 track. The rallies are open to nearly all classes of road vehicles. The afternoon fuel economy event will include the Prius Challenge\, with special categories of competition for all generations of Toyota Prius. A class for Exhibition category vehicles will also be included. \n\n\n\nMany hybrids\, plug-in hybrids and full electric vehicles are expected.The Doris Bovee Foundation is one of the Green Grand Prix’s key supporters\, and the morning event is named in the honor of Doris Bovee\, who was a well-known area environmentalist and taught for many years in the Corning-Painted Post (NY) school district .She was known for her love of plants and birds. Ms. Bovee was also involved with SCCA road rallies and was part of the Glen Region SCCA at its inception. The rallies are sponsored by the Glen Region Sports Car Club of America and are the only official SCCA road rallies of their kind in the nation. DESCRIPTION:Join your fellow car enthusiasts for this five hour\, 110-mile time-speed-distance road rally. You and a partner (Driver and Navigator) will be issued a set of Route Instructions that will take you on a scenic journey through the marvelous country roads in the southern Kettle Moraine Forest area of Wisconsin. The Kettle Moraine Colors Road Rallye\, sanctioned by the SCCA Milwaukee Region is a ‘Tour’ type rally and there are no traps or tricks – just drive\, enjoy the great roads and marvelous scenery and try to arrive at each checkpoint at precisely the right time. Checkpoints will be set up along the way to monitor how well you are following the assigned average speeds. Awards will be presented to the teams who do the best job of arriving at the checkpoints at the proper times. This is a rally designed especially for people with little or no rally experience. \n\n\n\nStart and finish location:  Nagawaukee Shopping Center\, just north of I-94 at the HWY 83 exit\, Delafield. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in opens at 9:00 AM. The first car departs at 11:01 AM\, and we anticipate the first car finished at approximately 4:15 PM. \n\n\n\nCost:  $40.00/car\, a minimum of two people per car is required\, but you may have up to four people per car. \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event. DESCRIPTION:The South Jersey Region will be holding three Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) rallies this year. All three rallies will be SCCA Divisional Tour Rallies. The instructions will be easy to follow. Contestants will need to have a  smartphone (or tablet) and have the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints  App downloaded before Registration; it is a free download and available for both Apple and Android.  \n\n\n\n Vehicles will be timed at numerous checkpoint locations on the course by use of the Rallymaster – Richta GPS Checkpoints App. Teams will be scored on how close they arrive at their perfect calculated official time at the checkpoints.   \n\n\n\nThe start and finish of the rallies are at Carolina Blue Restaurant. Sign in from 9:30 am to 10:15 am. The only folks the majority of you will come in contact with are the members of your own car. Clues will only need to be picked up by one member of the car. SUMMARY:DE: Bridges of the Brandywine III
DESCRIPTION:The second rally of 2020\, sanctioned by the Brandywine Motorsport Club\, will be held on Saturday\, November 21st. The Bridges of the Brandywine III rally route is set on fun and twisty roads in northern Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania. The course is approximately 60 miles long and will take about 2 to 2-1/2 hours to complete. All roads are paved although some may be bumpy in places. This rally is centralized on the many bridges in our area that span the Brandywine River.  \n\n\n\nSet up in a style similar to the TSD rallies put on by BMC in the ’50s & ’60s\, this rally should be fun for all rally enthusiasts. All checkpoints are DIY and require only basic math.  \n\n\n\nStart Location: Meet at the ‘Greenville Center’ sign for check-in. There will be onsite registration at 12:00 PM. The first car departs at 1:00 PM + car number. \n\n\n\nFinish Location:  The rally ends at Greenville Center. There will be no BMC-sponsored dinner due to indoor dining restrictions. However\, feel free to visit any of the lovely restaurants in the Greenville area. \n\n\n\nClasses: The Bridges of the Brandywine III will have two classes: Novice (have not participated in more than four TSD-style rallies in the past) and Expert (have participated in five or more TSD-style rallies in the past). SUMMARY:NY: Ithaca Winter Rally
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 39th year of the Winter Rally Series\, sanctioned by Finger Lakes Region SCCA. The 2021 series will consist of six Saturday night\, straight-forward\, driver’s style\, time\, speed & distance (TSD) rallies (using tulip diagrams). The first of the series were held in December 2020. \n\n\n\nThese General Instructions (GI’s) will apply to all of the events and will contain most of the information you will need to compete. Each event will include an addendum to provide information unique to that event. If there is a conflict\, the addenda will take precedence. \n\n\n\nA team is classified by the most experienced person in the vehicle.EQUIPPED Any team using equipment where the time calculating device receives direct input from the mileage- measuring device (Zeron\, Alpha\, Speed Pilot\,Timewise\, Halda\, Joe’s House O’ etc.).LIMITED The distance measuring device and calculating device may not provide direct input to each other. Allowable equipment includes rally tables\, Stevens wheel\, Alpina\, Curta\, Autopacer\, slide rule\, hundredths reading odometer\, and any calculator. “Unconnected” rally computers are NOT acceptable. Use of a smartphone or other device in any function other than the clock\, or 4 function calculator\, or GPS navigation will require running in Limited.STOCK Any team using a stand-alone clock and a stock odometer in the stock location\, plus any of these: tables\, slide rule\, single memory four-function electronic calculator. GPS units (or smartphones used as a navigational aid only) are allowed in Stock. All rally calculation apps are specifically not allowed in Stock.NOVICE Any team in which EACH person has competed in fewer than six time-speed-distance road rallies. There are no equipment limitations. If you qualify as a Novice at your first event of this series\, you may compete in the entire series as a Novice. If the driver or navigator is not a Novice the team is not.\n\n\n\nLIMITING ENTRIES. Events are designed for a maximum of 35 cars. The rallymaster may further limit entries if\, in his/her judgment\, the number of competitors exceeds the good nature of residents along the route. \n\n\n\nREGISTRATION AND TECH. Registration will be on motorsportreg.com.  \n\n\n\nNOVICE SCHOOL. Every event will have a novice school\, which is designed to help newcomers successfully complete their first rallies.
