SUMMARY:MA: New England Cape Codders Old Timers Regional GTA Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Cape Codders Courageous aka 44th Old Timers’ Rally is a “scavenger hunt” of Cape Cod and a low-pressure event. You will be supplied with a map and clues to locations all over the Cape. The object is to determine from the clues where these locations are on the map\, plan the shortest route to those locations\, once at the location\, answer the question(s)\, and do so driving the fewest miles possible. \nEach two person team chooses its own pace. The distance traveled will be at least 120 miles. Above all it is hoped that you will have FUN and maybe learn some things about the Cape. \nRegistration begins Friday evening 730-9P and will resume Saturday morning 730-930AM. \n\n\n\n\nEntry Fees are $45.00 for SCCA members and past Old Timers’ Rally participants\, if received by March 30\, 2018. (Note: NO entries the day of the rally) and $60.00 for non-SCCA members\, non-past participants\, and all late\nentries. Please allow enough time for us to receive entries no later than April 5th as we will not have access to postal mail after that date. No electronic entries signatures are required. \n\n\n\n\nAlso\, remember this is a low-tech event. Use of GPS\, computers and other Internet connectable devices (PDAs\, Smartphones\, Tablets\, etc.) to locate or answer questions OR to plot the shortest route between questions is NOT allowed. \n\n\n\n\nRooms for both Friday and Saturday nights are being held at the Holiday Inn Hyannis\, Hyannis\, MA\, 02601\, until March 23\, 2018. The rate is $105.00 per night (plus taxes)\, when you mention the SCCA Old Timers’ Rally. Did you know that the Boston Tea Party was the first of several Tea Parties? Many of the Tea Burners later fought in the War\, and one of them became an NJ Governor. SUMMARY:NH: New England Frost Heaves Regional Tour Rally
DESCRIPTION:Frost Heaves Rally will run on Saturday\, March 24th\, stating at the Hooksett Visitor Center on I-93 in Hooksett\, NH. Finish will be at Buffalo Wild Wings in Concord. This auto event will challenge teams of a Driver and a Navigator to follow tulip instructions as they explore approximately 120 miles of central NH backroads. Expert teams will be challenged to stay on course and on time. Novices are welcome and should have no problem following the tulip instructions.\nOn-line registration closes on 3/21.  Once on-line reg closes\, there will be no more entries.   \nThis event is not a race and all speeds are within posted speed limits. This rally may not be suitable for all cars\, especially lowered cars. Paved and unpaved roads are used; snow\, mud\, and frost heaves may further add to the challenge of the rally. \nCheckpoint workers are always needed and welcome\, get in touch if you want to have some excitement and work checkpoints. SUMMARY:MI: Keweenaw Winter Rallye
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Lake Superior Region has joined up with the Arrowhead Sports Car Club to host the Keweenaw Winter Rally. \n\n\n\nRegistration: 11 am – 12:30 pm \n\n\n\nRally Route: Approx. 250 miles that will take you around Baraga\, Houghton\, and Keweenaw counties. All the roads are good county roads that should be snow-covered. Start and finish at Sheldon Grille\, 7th floor of Franklin Square Inn in Houghton. There will be a meal break at Sheldon Grille and a fuel stop in Houghton. The first car starts at 1 pm and should finish around 9:30 pm. \n\n\n\nEntry Fee: Early registration (before Thursday\, March 8th) is $40 per team for SCCA members. $45 per team for non-members. Registering at the event adds $5. The price includes lunch. To register early\, call Scott Carlborn 906-231-5842. \n\n\n\nRoute Book Format: The Route Book will be set up in easy-to-follow Performance Rally format. You will be given mileage\, tulip\, and instructions. Any novice should have no problem finding their way. TSD\, a form of RoadRally\, stands for Time\, Speed\, and Distance. In TSD\, any car will work as long as it is licensed and road worthy. TSDs are run on Public Roads at legal speeds; you are given instructions on where to go and the average speeds you must maintain. The winner is the one who can not only get to the right place but also get there at the right time. Accuracy\, not speed\, is the key. Come for a drive and share in an evening of Rally stories; they seem to get better each time they’re told. \n\n\n\n#comeroadrally

DESCRIPTION:The NEOKLA Region of the SCCA will present a Road Rally School and the Eagle Eye Rally on Saturday\, February 3rd.\nCome join NEOKLA for a Saturday afternoon Road Rally school followed by a short ROAD RALLY to put your newly acquired knowledge to the test!!  The class is FREE\, and it’s only $5 per car to enter the Road Rally that follows! \nA Road Rally is NOT a RACE\, but an automotive competition in which driving skill\, timing abilities and your powers of observation can make your TEAM a WINNER! \nEach TEAM is made up of two people.   Usually\, one member is the DRIVER and the other member is the NAVIGATOR. Their challenge is to cover a prescribed course\, which is described by a set of written instructions\, at the LEGAL speeds prescribed in the written instructions. Any street-legal car or truck may be entered. \nEntrants will have TWO CLASSES to choose from to enter. STOCK CLASS is for those who wish to run the traditional DRIVER/NAVIGATOR team in which the DRIVER only drives and the NAVIGATOR only navigates. UNLIMITED CLASS is for those who wish to ‘swap seats’ at the prescribed points during the event. There will be a LIMIT of TWENTY (20) cars in the field. \nWe will assemble for the Rally School class at noon. The class will cover the Road Rally forms\, the conventions or rules that most rallies follow and a glossary of the nationally recognized terms. DESCRIPTION:What is Road Rally?\nLooking for an adventure? If so\, grab your neighbors and friends to create a team of four adults per vehicle. Each group is given a map and a bag of clues\, but only teamwork\, logic\, and luck will keep you on track. Some clues are helpful while others are designed to throw you off course. This exciting\, and somewhat physically challenging\,\n\nThis exciting\, and somewhat physically challenging\, four-hour scavenger hunt on wheels will test your mind\, body\, and teamwork\, so put on your thinking caps and start your engines!\n\nAt the completion of the rally\, teams will gather for an awards presentation and socialize at a pizza dinner. It is not a speed contest\, but a test of the team’s ability to observe their surroundings and follow directions. It fun\, easy and yet quite challenging! This scenic rally will wind its way through the picturesque roadways of Frederick County Maryland. \nWhere: Meet at the New Market Grange Hall\, 14 South Alley\, New Market\, MD. We will start and end the Rally at the same place so folks can meet there\, leave any extra vehicles and we will return for a great catered lunch! \nTime: Meet at 9:30 am to get your Rally book and instructions. Coffee and donuts will be on hand! The first car out will leave at 10:00 am. \nCost: The cost of the Rally is $25 per person or $85 for a car of 4 participants. If you have a van you can add more people for only $20 each! The more eyes the better for this Rally!

DESCRIPTION:The March Muddy Waters is a map based pre-plot road rally. What that means is we give you instructions and you plot them on the provided map. You will be plotting the shortest course consistent with the clues. You then follow the map to each checkpoint. The course uses all paved roads and is less than 100 miles. This is a timed (TSD) rally\, not a gimmick or GTA. \n\n\nRegistration 11-12:30\, from Paddy Ryan’s in Hudson\, WI. \nFirst Car Out 1:00 PM \nEnds at the Valley. Excellent Chicken feed while you await the scores. \nSnippets from the Regulations: Determining the course\, Map \nThe course is determined by plotting the course on the map provided. Unless otherwise stated each Route Card should be plotted using only the given information and in the order given\, implied or necessary\, to solve the Route Card. The shortest route consistent with this information should be plotted between each Route Card’s Start and Finish. Route Cards are designed to be stand alone\, i.e. you must plot any of them independently without needing to solve neighboring ones first. \nRegulations will be found on the Registration website.

DESCRIPTION:The 51st Thunderbird Rally\, is a winter driving adventure\, Round 1 of the 2024 BC TSD Rally Championship\, and Round 1 of the Pacific Coast Challenge. The rally is sanctioned by the Rally Pacific Motorsports (BC Region of CARS)\, and follows the current BC TSD Rally Regulations/ \n\n\n\nThe Rally runs on straight-forward instructions. In addition to the route instructions\, maps will be provided. The Rally will be about 850km long\, entirely within the province of BC\, and will start with an odometer check section of about 15km. Roads will be about 40% clear pavement\, 60% snow-covered pavement and gravel. Instructions are provided in both km and miles\, but the official measurements and calculations are based on the km figures. \n\n\n\nNew to the sport?
