DESCRIPTION:Lima to Cape Horn 2022\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event was first listed in 2021 and amended to 2022\, and we have not updated the following for this event. We will\, yet we wanted to give you a heads-up. \n\n\n\nStarting at sea level in Lima\, Peru\, only six days later\, we will sleep at over 3\,600 metres in La Paz\, the Bolivian capital. The salt flats of Bolivia and northwestern Argentina will give way to the green vineyards of Mendoza. Following the Andes south\, we enter the breathtaking lake district around Bariloche before making our way into Chile\, where the days will get decidedly cooler as the scenery becomes ever more dramatic. Glaciers and deep blue lakes surrounded by snow-peaked mountains will abound before we finally enter magical Patagonia\, where our destination is the city at the end of the earth\, Ushuaia. \n\n\n\nOur route designers have searched for the finest roads this continent can supply. At the same time\, the entire ERA team will provide the mechanical\, medical\, and logistical support for which the organisation is world-famous. SUMMARY:NH: Great American Mountain Rallye Revival
DESCRIPTION:History of the Original Great American Mountain Rallye 1953-1957 \n\n\n\nThe flag dropped on the first GAMR on Thanksgiving Day of 1953\, and the rally continued every November through 1957. Described in the April 1956 issue of Auto Age as “America’s longest\, toughest\, and coldest rallye\,” the races attracted driving teams from across America\, Europe\, and Scandinavia. Conducted the weekend of American Thanksgiving\, the rally typically featured challenging snowy weather through New York’s Adirondack\, New Hampshire’s White\, and Vermont’s Green Mountains. Tire chains were an absolute must! \n\n\n\nIn its day\, the Great American Mountain Rallye attracted top teams from around the world. The Rootes Team entered Sheila van Damm in 1953 and 1954. The late great Stirling Moss also competed in this rally in 1954. The great Maurice Gastonides\, the 1953 Monte Carlo Rally winner\, was also a competitor. One year\, the official starter was multi-time world driving champion Juan Manuel Fangio. \n\n\n\nThis year will be the fourth running of the “Revival.” Our first three years were huge successes\, and we plan for this year to be as good or better than last! \n\n\n\nGAMRR 2022 \n\n\n\nGAMRR is a hybrid rally incorporating a “Tour” and a Regularity Rally traversing approximately 400 miles. There will be a course to follow through the New Hampshire Lakes Region\, the White Mountains\, and Maine utilizing written (NRIs) and Tulip instructions and a short map-reading section. The Great American Mountain Rallye is well suited for inexperienced and veteran rallyists alike.  \n\n\n\nJoin the GAMRR mailing list to learn the latest details\, and we’ll be updating details here by June 1st. SUMMARY:PA: Ghost Tracks GTA Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Ghost Tracks GTA Rally is sanctioned by the SCCA Allegheny Highlands Sports Car Club and was upgraded to a National GTA Rally.  \n\n\n\nGhost Tracks is a shortest-distance rally\, an untimed RoadRally following an undefined route. Instead of the usual route instructions and timing controls\, contestants are given a map and a list of waypoints to be visited. Contestants receive penalty points for each 0.10 mile traversed during the rally. Thus\, the goal is to visit all the required sites (waypoints) in the allotted time while traversing the shortest distance possible. These waypoints may be visited in any order of your choosing after leaving the start control and before you arrive at the finish control. Unlimited use of additional maps\, GPS\, Waze\, etc.\, is permitted.  \n\n\n\nThe available roads are all public roads in and bordering Indiana County\, PA. Typical fall foliage and scenery should be superb as you travel on many roads most of you will have never seen before. Each team (minimum of two people) will use their maps and waypoint list to plot a course and may drive at whatever legal speeds are comfortable for them. Six hours are allotted to complete the rally\, but it should take less time. Awards for best overall finishing position(s) and best finishing position of any team with no prior experience with the shortest distance rally. \n\n\n\nIf you prefer a shorter version\, please consider our As The Crow Flies on the same day. Register for Ghost Tracks at Motorsportreg today and try this rally style. \n\n\n\nEntrants can approach the waypoint from any direction and be assured that the transponder provided by the Rally Committee will confirm their arrival at the waypoint. Mileage will be zeroed at the Start Control and frozen at the Finish Control\, having accumulated all of the mileage the transponder has traversed. This total mileage will be the final score after adding a penalty of fifteen miles for each waypoint not attained if applicable. The shortest distance wins.  \n\n\n\nThis will be the first of its kind and requires no equipment\, not even a cell phone. The rally is intended to be a model for other Regions to host a rally that requires minimal effort on the part of a Rally Committee. SUMMARY:CA: Cal Club Eureka Divisional Course Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Eureka Road Rally is an SCCA Divisional Course Rally written by Jeanne English. It is a companion rally to ITN’s Thunder Road\, a Monte Carlo-style SCCA National Tour Rally written by Joe Akerman on Saturday\, October 15. Both are headquartered at the Hampton Inn in Arvin (Tejon Ranch)\, CA.  Registration for Eureka opens at 8:00A; route instructions are handed out at 8:30A plus your car number in minutes. Official start time is 9:00A plus your car number\, in minutes\, but once you receive your route instructions\, you are free to leave. \n\n\n\nFrom the start\, Eureka will head east to Stallion Springs (west of Tehachapi). Besides some fun roads\, the rally will visit the Tehachapi Loop and go through a covered bridge! The rally will be lightly trapped\, with Jeanne expecting most cars to do most legs correctly. You can run it using either the SCCA RRRs or SMSCC’s General Instructions\, there will be an addendum to help make that happen. \n\n\n\nThe rally will use the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing to the second.   The maximum penalty for Eureka is 1 minute (60 seconds) per leg. Before you arrive at the start\, please download the Richta GPS Competitor app to your phone; it’s a free download for Android and Apple devices. There is no need for additional timing equipment; your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nThe entry fee for Eureka is $50 for SCCA members and $60 for non-SCCA members. Plus\, register by October 12 for a $10 discount!   \n\n\n\nThis is an SCCA Divisional Course Rally sponsored by Santa Monica Sports Car Club and Cal Club SCCA. SUMMARY:PA: Catch 22 - Puzzles and Conundrums
DESCRIPTION:Update October 20th — Fifty-six teams and two buses puzzled their way through some of Adams County most beautiful roads on Saturday\, October 15. A great time was had by all as we drove past 19 preserved properties over 48 miles\, and competed and learned at three fun-filled stops. The Land Conservancy of Adams County has already set Saturday\, October 21st\, 2023 for their 25th Anniversary edition next year.  \n\n\n\n√. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach year the Land Conservancy of Adams County organizes a Road Rally over lesser-traveled routes in the region. This year\, the 24th Annual Land Conservancy Fall Classic Road Rally\, features a meandering drive through rural Adams County\, highlighting vistas and scenic roads that showcase our beautiful countryside.  \n\n\n\nOn October 15\, Road Rally teams will be delighted and confused as they meander through Adams County on roads less traveled. Teams will be challenged with paradoxical situations with no apparent way out. It’s a logical conundrum where circumstances feed each other and bring you back to square 1. \n\n\n\nWhat came first the chicken or the egg? \n\n\n\n Catch 22 – Puzzles and Conundrums is a fundraiser for LCAC that often leaves participants amazed and with a newfound appreciation for the landscape around us.

DESCRIPTION:The October First Friday Niter\, coming up on October 7\, is being written by guest Rallymasters Revere Jones and Jared Leadbetter. The odometer check heads east on the 210 to Sunland. The rally travels up Big Tujunga Canyon to Angeles Forest and down Angeles Crest into La Canada-Flintridge\, where the rally then travels on and around Chevy Chase. About half of the legs have traps\, which means that about half don’t! The finish is at The Habit Burger\, 990 Town Center Drive\, La Canada-Flintridge. \n\n\n\nWe are using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing to the second. All checkpoints are listed in the route instructions\, with a Restart after each one. The maximum penalty for this FFN is 3 minutes (180 seconds) per leg.  Before you arrive at the start\, please download the Richta GPS Competitor app to your phone; it’s a free download for Android and Apple devices.  There is no need for additional timing equipment; your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nIs your usual rally partner not available for this FFN?  Let Jeanne know\, and she will attempt to match you up with another competitor. You can expect a fun and challenging mix of unpaved (80%) and paved (20%) twisty county and forest roads from smooth fast gravel roads to tight and technical single lane roads. This straightforward (no traps) rally will test your ability and endurance to pass hidden controls neither early\, nor late. First run in 1949\, POR (Press On Regardless®) has a history like no other rally. It is the oldest continuously run rally (74th running) in North America. While not a car breaker\, vehicles with low ground clearance are not recommended. Liberal use of free zones and pauses help you navigate thru rough areas on the route. SUMMARY:PA: Monopoly Redux VI GTA Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Steel Cities Region\, SCCA (western Pennsylvania area) will host its End of Summer Showcase Festival (an ‘all things SCCA’ event) on Saturday\, August 27th\, is the Monopoly Red VI RoadRally. In addition to other SCCA activities such as an autocross\, road races\, and time trials\, there will be a road rally.  \n\n\n\nThe 50 mile\, approximately three-hour afternoon event will start and finish at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum\, PA\, just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike Beaver Valley Exit 13\, 45 miles north of Pittsburgh\, PA. \n\n\n\nLike many SportsCar Club of America RoadRally events\, this one will use fun-to-drive paved\, public\, lightly traveled country roads. You will travel below the speed limit searching for the correct signs to move tokens around the Monopoly Game board. The winning team will be the one coming closest to the correct trip around the board. The event will wind its way through tall forests and small towns\, over streams and past large farms north and east of the start. \n\n\n\nNo rally experience or equipment is necessary but you will need a legal car\, a licensed Driver and a Navigator. The entry fee is $30 per car\, and only one member of the team needs an SCCA membership. SUMMARY:OH: Milk Run Rally
DESCRIPTION:Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2022 Ohio Milk Run Rally. The 160±mile route will wind through the hills of Ohio’s Tuscarawas\, Coshocton and surrounding counties. The Milk Run name is a legacy from a motorcycle enduro that ran in the 1970’s. Competitors can expect a straightforward\, gimmick-free Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with emphasis on precise timing at well placed controls. The rally will count toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division Rally Championship\, and the SCCA National Touring Rally Championship as a Divisional Rally. \n\n\n\nNote: All teams must enter online at Motorsportreg\, there will be no walk-in entries accepted on the day of the rally. Early entry cut-off is July 24th\, 23:59 and Registration closes at 6P on Wednesday\, July 27th and General Instructions\, Richta GPS Competitor Milk Run Rally password and Zoom meeting access info. There will be an  online Competitor Briefing and Novice Q&A at 8PM. \n\n\n\nOn-site Registration at 1030-11:15A on Saturday\, July 30th. First Car starts the rally at 1131A and will finish at approximately 530P. \n\n\n\nCompetition Classes: \n\n\n\nE – Equipment unrestricted. \n\n\n\nL – Odometer unrestricted\, and calculating device restricted only in that it may not be integrated with the odometer. \n\n\n\nG – GPS–derived odometer only\, and any calculating device (including timekeeping ‘apps’ integrated with the odometer). \n\n\n\nS – Unmodified stock odometer only. Calculating device is restricted only in that it may not be integrated with the odometer and clock. \n\n\n\nNovice – Class S entry in which neither team member has previously entered more than 5 TSD rallies. \n\n\n\nEntry Fees: \n\n\n\nSCCA Members (Driver and/or Navigator\, i.e.\, at least one full SCCA member on the team): $45.00/car before the early entry cutoff\, $55.00 after that. \n\n\n\nOthers: Add $10.00 to the above to purchase the mandated SCCA Weekend/Trial memberships for both team members. \n\n\n\nThis rally will be timed with the Richta GPS Competitor automated checkpoint system. Each team must carry a ‘smart’ phone or tablet (Android or iOS) running the current version of the Richta GPS Competitor ‘app.’
