SUMMARY:CA: June First Friday Niter Series
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, July 7\, 2023\, please join us for an Into the Night rally takeover of the SCCA Cal Club Santa Monica Sports Car Club First Friday Niter. The Rallymaster is Joe Akerman. This rally will be a Monte Carlo/TSD rally\, meaning you get turn-by-turn directions AND your target time at each Checkpoint. All Timed Checkpoints are listed in the Route Instructions and referenced by prominent signs on the course\, in the style of our recent Thunder Road and Two Lane Blacktop rallies. This rally is about 70 miles long and will take about 2 hours. \n\n\n\nThis event aims to enjoy driving sweeping\, challenging back roads at legal speeds while following detailed directions to pass a series of Checkpoints at just the right time. No need for advanced math. No navigational traps or tricks. No riddles and no gimmicks — just beautiful roads to drive with a focus on precision and accuracy. This is a team sport — the Driver and Navigator must work together to get it right. \n\n\n\nThere are no set speeds. Just run at the posted speed limits (the rally is timed at least two mph BELOW those limits and has added pauses where needed). If you reach a timed Checkpoint early\, you can pull over out of traffic lanes and either creep in or stop and wait for your target time to cross the Checkpoint. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Competitor – Richta GPS Checkpoints app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone\, tablet\, or other Android or iOS device. Go to the Apple App Store\, Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/ to download the app. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks – your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nPlease register online via motorsportreg.com. Go to https://msreg.com/FFN072023. The registration fee is $15 per car for SCCA members. If you are not an SCCA member\, you can get a weekend membership for only $15. You can then apply that amount to full annual membership within 60 days if you choose. \n\n\n\nWe start at the Bank of America rear lot in Mission Hills. In-person registration opens at 7:00 pm\, with the first car out at 8:01 pm; there is a Beginner/Richta meeting at about 7:30 pm. The finish will be at Pizza Man Dan’s in Moorpark.

SUMMARY:IN: Putnam Purple Cow Precision RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Putnam Purple Cow Precision is a Tour RoadRally designed to be run by individuals attending the SCCA Time Trial event at Putnam Park Road Course the weekend of July 1-2\, 2023. While the goal on track is to go fast\, the goal of a RoadRally is to drive with precision and observation. The course will take participants into Cloverdale and back to Putnam Park while highlighting some of the amenities and unusual sites in the area. The entire course can be driven in less than an hour.  \n\n\n\nThe rally uses Richta GPS Checkpoints\, and participants may run it any time at their convenience from registration on Saturday until mid-afternoon on Sunday\,  If you are joining us for pizza in Cloverdale on Saturday evening\, you can drive the first part of the rally from Putnam Park to Cloverdale on the way and then finish the return trip whenever you would like. \n\n\n\nThe cost of the RoadRally is $25 per car for members. SUMMARY:WI: Summer Solstice Navigational Scatter RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:SCCA Land O’Lakes hosts another “scatter rally” on Solstice Weekend. Please get in touch with the Rallymaster for more information on their Summer Solstice Navigational Scatter. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps. This distance is how you will be scored. \n\n\n\nYou should be able to finish by sundown. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you by all of them. Although a map has been provided\, you may use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route. The route between the points below offers many options. \n\n\n\nYou have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check-in until the time you check-in at the endpoint. This includes some extra time in case you make mistakes along the way.Your score is the total miles from start to end. There is a 30-mile penalty for each one you miss. \n\n\n\nYou will be asked to select a Class. There are no classes at this event; the selection will be used for the LOL Championship.

SUMMARY:TX: Moontower 2023 RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:In 1884 and 1885\, Austin\, Texas\, was terrorized by a series of murders\, mainly of servant girls. Seven women\, five black\, and one man were killed. Six women and two men were injured. The eight killings are one of the earliest recorded serial murders\, predating the infamous Jack the Ripper by three years. The killer was never identified\, but the husband of one victim was found guilty but was later exonerated. For more information\, read the Steven Saylor novel\, A Twist at the End. \n\n\n\nThe city of Austin began looking for better ways to illuminate the city to ward off further killings. In 1894\, the city bought 31 artificial Moontowers from the city of Detroit. Tradition said that the 31 original Moontowers were installed in the shape of a Texas Star. The 165-foot towers originally had carbon-arc light bulbs which had to be lit each night and turned off each morning by a watchman who had to ascend to the top of each tower. Each tower illuminated a 1\,500-foot radius. \n\n\n\nElectricity was supplied by the new electric generators in the Austin Dam site at the present-day Tom Miller Dam. In the 1920s\, arc lamps were replaced with incandescent lamps\, which were replaced in the 1930s with mercury vapor lamps. During World War II\, a central switch automated turning all of the lamps on and off to assist with city-wide “blackouts.” Today\, the towers house LED lights. \n\n\n\nIn 1976 the Moontowers were inducted into the National Register of Historic Places. In 1995\, the remaining towers were carefully restored for their 100th anniversary. \n\n\n\nOn the event day\, Saturday\, 17 June 2023\, participants will meet at the parking lot at the corner of 51st and Lamar. Registration will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM\, with a safety briefing at 1:45 PM. After the safety briefing\, cars will be released for the route\, which takes place on city streets. Our destination is The Moontower Saloon at 10212 Mencheca Road in South Austin. \n\n\n\n Early Registration will be through MotorsportReg.com. The price is $30.00 per car\, regardless of the number of occupants. Children are welcome\, but insurance requires that minors under 18 must have the official Minor Waiver signed by both parents. Each car must have a Driver and a Navigator\, and each must have a current vehicle inspection sticker and proof of insurance. People who register through MotorsportReg.com will find the Minor Waiver form (please print it in color) and may pay online. People may also register by contacting Ken McElroy and then pay at the event or at the parking lot at 61st and Lamar and pay as they fill out the paperwork there. \n\n\n\nThis route is along paved city roads\, but there are some fierce speed bumps. Along the way\, you will see hidden portions of Austin and be given items of local history\, and you might even be asked to answer questions about the route. \n\n\n\nIf you experience symptoms of COVID immediately before the event\, your money will be refunded. \n\n\n\nThe GOAL of the SCCA is to Have Fun with Cars! \n\n\n\nEvent Requirements\n\n\n\n1. SUMMARY:PA: ChesMont Historical Trek
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Philadelphia Region presents the ChesMont Historical Trek on Saturday\, June 17th. \n\n\n\nThe ChesMont Historical Trek is a tour of several Chester and Montgomery Counties sites. This is a NON-COMPETITIVE EVENT. That is\, there are no trophies to be won and no pressure\, just a leisurely drive through the countryside. You can spend as much or as little time as you want at any stop. Or come back another day with your instructions when you have more time. The nearby Valley Forge National Historical Park is the first site we’ll visit.  Several\, but not all\, other sites\, such as the Paoli Battlefield in Malvern\, will have a Revolutionary War connection.  \n\n\n\nOur route will cover 60-70 miles (depending on which optional sites you visit). The route is paved\, so there are no worries about dirt/rocks. \n\n\n\nStart: We’ll gather at Panera Bread in the Gateway Shopping Center at 10:00 AM and handle Registration outside. Your registration packet will include the route instructions and publicity material for other upcoming events in the area. All participants must sign a liability release\, and non-members must fill out the Weekend and Trial Membership forms and Minor Waivers for anyone under 18 (please call Clyde Heckler before the event for Minor requirements). You may have as many people in the car as there are seatbelts in the car. \n\n\n\nYou may depart whenever you are ready\, but we encourage you to grab a bite to eat/drink at Panera and review your route instructions.   \n\n\n\nFinish: The Schwenksville\, PA area\, where several restaurants are available for lunch and are listed in the route instructions.   \n\n\n\nQuestions about the event can be sent to the Rallymaster Clyde Heckler (or call him 609-923-6306). \n\n\n\nEvent Requirements\n\n\n\nThe cost is $20 per team if at least one person is an SCCA Member and $35 per team if there are no SCCA Members. The non-member fee includes a $15 Weekend Membership fee and a $15 coupon toward Annual Membership if redeemed within 60 days. \n\n\n\nCars must be in working order and be insured with an auto insurance policy with liability limits of not less than $20\,000 /$40\,000/$10\,000 (no exceptions). Each entrant must certify that the car entered is legally on the road and is owned by the entrant or used by the entrant with the owner’s permission. Any participant under 18 must have a Minor Waiver printed in color and signed by all parents/guardians. \n\n\n\nNon-members are encouraged to complete their Weekend Membership forms before the event and bring them along to expedite Registration.

SUMMARY:CA: Thunder Road 2023 Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:THUNDER ROAD 2023\, an SCCA National Tour\, is the first event of the Cal Club and Into the Night Rally Team’s Double Rally Weekend! TWO LANE BLACK TOP\, is an SCCA Divisional Tour Rally on Sunday\, June 18\, 2023 \n\n\n\nWe are proud that last year’s Thunder Road 2022 was named the Best New National Rally of 2022 by the Sports Car Club of America\, and we are striving to make TR23 even better. We take our responsibility to provide you with a fun and exciting rally very seriously. We have searched diligently to find you the prettiest roads we could and to get you out of civilization as much as possible. We will be running the most scenic and drivable roads in the San Gabriel\, Tehachapi\, and southern Sierra Nevada mountains\, and through the farmlands and open vistas of Kern County and the Antelope Valley.   \n\n\n\nThe Route Instructions for this event will use a simple Monte Carlo format\, meaning you get turn-by-turn directions and your target time at each Checkpoint. All Timed Checkpoints are listed in the Route Instructions and referenced by prominent signs on the course. The rally is a little over 350 miles long\, and you will have about 8 and a half hours of driving nirvana with many breaks for gas\, food\, and rest stops. \n\n\n\nThe object of this event is to enjoy driving sweeping\, beautiful\, challenging back roads at legal speeds while following simple directions to pass a series of Checkpoints at just the right time.  \n\n\n\nRallymaster Joe Akerman says “There is no need for advanced math\, no riddles\, compasses\, maps or gimmicks\, just glorious roads to drive with a focus on precision and accuracy.” This is a team sport —the Driver and Navigator must work together to get it right. Only two people (Driver and Navigator) are allowed per car on SCCA Naitonal Road Rallies. The rally will run\, rain or shine. \n\n\n\nThere are no preset average speeds; just run at the posted speed limits (the rally is timed at least two mph BELOW those limits and has pauses where needed). If you reach a timed Checkpoint early\, you can pull over\, get out of traffic lanes\, and either creep or stop and wait for your target time to pass by the Checkpoint. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone or tablet. Go to the App Store\, Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/ and download it. There is no need for additional timing equipment; your Official Time shows in the app! \n\n\n\nThis event has been designed to be extremely EV friendly. There are charging stations at the Start\, in the area of the breaks\, and near the Finish. \n\n\n\nPlease register online here at MotorsportsReg. The Registration fee is $95 per car. There’s a $15 discount for each of up to 2 SCCA members. When you check out\, use the discount code SCCAONE if you have one SCCA member in the car.  Use the code SCCATWO if you have two SCCA members in the car. PLEASE USE ONLY ONE OF THESE DISCOUNTS.  (If the “register now” button doesn’t work\, please reload this page and try again.) \n\n\n\nYou may still register in person at the Start. (Sorry\, but we cannot accept credit cards at Registration. Please use the MSR website to pay by credit card.) Rally day registration will be at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites\, our headquarters hotel\, in Valencia\, CA 91355\, exit 170 off Interstate 5 at Magic Mountain Parkway. \n\n\n\nThis is an SCCA National Tour Rally sponsored by the Into the Night Rally Team and CalClub. Trophies will be awarded to the top teams in Classes E (Equipped)\, L (Limited equipment)\,  S (Stock)\, G (GPS-driven rally computers)\, and N (Novice – 3 or fewer previous rallies). \n\n\n\nMore Info can be found at www.itnrally.org and on our Into the Night Rally Team Facebook page. For any questions or more detailed information\, contact Rallymaster Joe via the info below. \n\n\n\n************************************* \n\n\n\nClick here to register for TWO LANE BLACKTOP\, an SCCA Divisional Tour Rally on June 18\, 2023\,

SUMMARY:CO: Rallye Glenwood Springs
DESCRIPTION:Over the June 9-11th Weekend\, the MG Car Club (of England)\, Rocky Mountain Centre\, will be hosting Rallye Glenwood Springs\, billed as the oldest continuously run TSD rally in the U.S.\, and celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the MG car company. After WW II\, returning military officers came home with the MG TC\, a lightweight roadster suitable for road\, track\, and hill climbs. The cars created a sensation\, leading to the rapid expansion of sports car ownership in the U.S. in the early 1950s. These cars\, together with Jags\, 356 Porsches\, and the occasional Allard\, first contested the Rallye Glenwood Springs.  \n\n\n\nThe MGCC\, RMC was chartered in 1954. Among the founding members were Hazel Hopkins Marble\, a local road race and hill climb enthusiast\, and Doreen Evans\, a member of the famous “Dancing Daughters\,” an all-woman MG factory race team of the 1930s. The MGCC\, RMC\, currently has more than 200 member families. \n\n\n\nThe centerpiece of a three-day sports car event\, the Rallye is run in and around beautiful Glenwood Springs\, Colorado\, on Saturday\, June 10th. All makes\, and models are invited\, though sports cars and classics are strongly encouraged.  \n\n\n\nThe Friday History Repeats Itself Tour begins at Gunther Toody’s Restaurant\, 8266 W Bowles Ave\, Littleton\, CO\, and may be started at your leisure; however\, we recommend you depart no later than 9:00A so you can be at the hotel in time to complete the tie-breaker questions. Tour instructions are given out between 7:30A and 9:00A at Gunther Toody’s. As in the past\, pay attention to everything along the way\, as successfully answering the tie-breaker questions at the end may rely upon that particular skill.   \n\n\n\nTour Classes \n\n\n\nYou can only enter one class. \n\n\n\nThe MG class is for all MG vehicles driven on the tour.  \n\n\n\nThe Vintage class is for cars\, including MGs\, made before 1970.  \n\n\n\nThe Modern class is for all non-MG cars made from 1970 onwards.  \n\n\n\nFirst\, second\, and third-place trophies will be presented for each class. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, the Rallye Glenwood Springs begins with registration at 7A. The First Car Departs at 8:01A from the Courtyard Glenwood Springs\, our host hotel. This year’s Rallye is a traditional Time Speed Distance (TSD) Rallye. The Rallyemaster has avoided hard-to-see signs and other annoyances to ensure a fun and challenging rallye experience. An insurance waiver must be signed by both driver and navigator before departing. \n\n\n\nA clipboard\, pen/pencil and paper\, stopwatch\, and a well-read copy of the Rallye General Instructions will be helpful. Please visit the MGCC.org website to read the Rallye General Instructions and the Rallye Primer. A draft copy of the Supplement will also be posted\, with a final version in your Rallye packet. One or more experienced rallyists will be available at the start location to answer questions. \n\n\n\nThe route is on paved roads. All assigned speeds will be at or below posted speed limits. There will be breaks along the route\, including a lunch break.  \n\n\n\nRallye Classes \n\n\n\nNovice SOP (Seat of the Pants) – Rallyists are eligible for Novice class until they win a First Place or have competed in THREE TSD Rallyes. Pencil and paper calculations only.  \n\n\n\nIntermediate SOP – Rallyists are eligible for Intermediate class until they have won First Place in Intermediate class.  Pencil and paper calculations only.  \n\n\n\nExperienced SOP – No limit on experience. Pencil and paper calculations only. Rallye charts and tables are permitted.  \n\n\n\nVintage – Any equipment must be period correct. Cars must be forty years old or older (1982 or older).  \n\n\n\nComputer – No limit on equipment. \n\n\n\nParticipants must properly determine their Rallye class and enter it on their scorecard. Failure to indicate your class on the scorecard will place you in Experienced SOP class.  \n\n\n\nTrophies are awarded in first through fourth places in Novice and Intermediate Classes\, and first through third places in Experienced\, Vintage\, and Computer Classes. \n\n\n\nAnd the festivities don’t end there! On Sunday\, there will be a Car Show and a Funkhana\, Youth Judging\, and Special Awards for the weekends activities.

Expect at least 100 checkpoints in this 180-mile rally. Contestants will need a smartphone to run this event. If you plan to run another rally app during the event\, you’ll need to do that on a separate device; the Richta GPS Competitor app needs to be the only app running on your phone during the rally. \n\n\n\nThis is a tour-type rally\, so there are no tricks or traps. There are no unpaved roads on the Roads Scamper National Tour Rally route. \n\n\n\nSchedule: Check-in – 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM Sunday \n\n\n\nFirst Car Off – 8:31 AM  First Car Finished – Approx 3:15 pm at the Dorf Haus Restaurant\, Roxbury\, WI. \n\n\n\nCost: $70/car. Contact the Rallymaster Jim Crittenden. The Roads Scholar National Course Rally will have four Classes\, as determined by the distance measurement and calculating devices used.Class E (Equipped)      There are no restrictions on calculating equipment in this Class. Typical calculating devices in this Class include Alfa\, Chronar\, Timewise\, and Zeron rally computers.Class L (Limited)        All distance information is derived from any of the following: the vehicle’s electronic system\, the vehicle’s speedometer cable\, or pulses generated by the movement of the vehicle (e.g.\, magnets mounted to the drivetrain\, of GPS devices). Calculating devices are limited to those that require manual entry of the distance information (e.g.\, Curta calculators\, tables\, laptop computers\, electronic APPs\, and programmable and non-programmable electronic calculators). Readouts that continuously show the difference from either the perfect time or the perfect distance are prohibited.Class S (Stock)        Any distance information used for timing calculations must be visually acquired from the vehicle’s stock\, non-adjustable odometer in the stock location. Any calculating device may be used as long as the distance information from the vehicle’s stock odometer is manually entered into the device. GPS odometers may be used in this Class only if their information is NOT used for any timing calculations or for any determination of earliness or lateness.Class G (GPS)        All distance information must be derived from a GPS source. Calculating devices may be any electronic device (e.g.\, Simple Rally Computer type APPs and a GPS-Pulser) providing distance input to a Rally computer.

SUMMARY:CA: First Friday Niter Social Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Stay tuned for updates… \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. This month’s maximum penalty is 120 seconds (2 minutes) per checkpoint. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/. SUMMARY:VT: Buffum's Summer Challenge Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA New England Region’s Summer Challenge Rally will be on Saturday\, May 20th\, out of Randolph\, VT Distance of ~170mi. From Rallymaster John Buffum\, “Not a “trap rally” per se\, but you will have to think on occasion.” Extensive rally knowledge not required. \n\n\n\nAnd from the website\, where you can find more information about this event: \n\n\n\nMar 13\, 2023: I went out today to start the first survey. I plan routes at home using county type maps and then see how they really look when I drive around; usually 3 to 4 times over the course. \n\n\n\nI have an idea of the ‘difficult instructions’ that I might want to use. It’s actually finding spots on the course to use them. This time you’ll be pleased (or not) to know I found some. ???? \n\n\n\nMar 9\, 2023: Yes\, we will do a Summer Challenge Rally on May 20 starting at Exit 4 of I-89 in Randolph\, Vermont. More info here as time goes on.

The ±180-mile route will wind through the hills of Ohio’s Stark\, Carroll\, Columbiana\, and Jefferson Counties\, utilizing many of the same roads as an old rally of the same name. \n\n\n\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free\, Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with emphasis on precise timing at well-placed controls. Route Instructions will include Official Mileages for all action points. \n\n\n\nThe Vertigo Rally will count toward the SCCA Great Lakes Division Rally Championship and the SCCA National Touring Championship. \n\n\n\nStart Location:  Bob Evans Restaurant\, 5375 Dressler Rd.\, North Canton\, Ohio  44720 (Latitude N41.85920˚\, Longitude W080.64255˚). \n\n\n\nTentative Schedule (all times EDT): \n\n\n\nSaturday\, May 6\, 2023: 23:59 – Early entry cutoff \n\n\n\nWednesday\, May 10\, 2023: 18:00 – Registration closes. General Instructions and Richta password distributed via email. \n\n\n\nThursday\, May 11\, 2023: 20:00 – Competitor briefing / Novice Q & A session (via Zoom) \n\n\n\nSaturday\, May 13\, 2023: \n\n\n\n     09:30-10:40 – On-site registration \n\n\n\n     11:01 – Car #1 starts rally. \n\n\n\n      17:30 (approx) – Car #1 finishes. \n\n\n\nCompetition Classes: \n\n\n\n     E – Equipment unrestricted. \n\n\n\n     L – Odometer unrestricted. Calculating device is restricted only in that it may not be integrated with odometer. \n\n\n\n     G – GPS–derived odometer only and any calculating device. \n\n\n\n     S – Stock odometer only. Calculating device is restricted only in that it may not be integrated with odometer. \n\n\n\n     Novice – Class S entry in which neither team member has previously entered more than 5 TSD rallies. \n\n\n\nEntry Fees: \n\n\n\n     SCCA Members (Driver and/or Navigator have an annual membership): $45.00/car before the early entry cutoff\, $55.00 after that. \n\n\n\n     Others: Add $20.00 to the above (Member) fees (to purchase the mandated SCCA Weekend/Trial memberships for both team members). Individuals that purchase a Weekend Membership are eligible for a $15.00 credit toward an annual SCCA membership for 60 days following the rally.  \n\n\n\nNOTE: All teams must pre-register! Click here for MotorsportReg\, where you’ll find more information about the Vertigo Rally and get your team registered. There will be no walk-in entries on the day of the rally. SCCA Members are urged to apply for an Annual Waiver to bypass the signing of the paper waivers at each SCCA event. Should either of your team be a Minor (under 18 years of age)\, don’t hesitate to contact Rallymaster Ron Johnstonbaugh to obtain an SCCA Minor Waiver form to be properly executed before the rally by the Minor’s parents/guardian. \n\n\n\nThis rally will be timed with the Richta GPS Competitor automated checkpoint system. Each team must carry a “smart” phone or tablet (Android or iOS) running the current version of the Richta GPS Competitor “app.” Before the rally\, all the checkpoint information (Latitude/Longitude coordinates and target arrival times) will be uploaded to the “cloud.” Teams will receive a password allowing them to download this information for their entry. Competitors will NOT be able to view this information in advance. Upon arrival at each checkpoint\, a team’s device will sound an alert\, displaying the team’s recorded arrival time\, the score for that control\, and cumulative score. The device may also display leg “critique” information provided by the Rallymaster Ron Johnstonbaugh. \n\n\n\nSome helpful Richta user information can be found on the Detroit Region\, SCCA website: http://drscca.org/rally/using-the-richta-competitor-app/ \n\n\n\nTeams are encouraged to register a second (backup) phone or tablet under a “phantom” car number 100 greater than their assigned car number (Car #1/101\, Car #2/102\, etc.). The second device will serve as an arrival time “insurance policy” and help organizers better understand the relative timing behavior of various platforms. It will not be used for scoring unless there is a failure of the primary device.

SUMMARY:WI: 11th Annual Badger Burrow Divisional Tour Rallye
DESCRIPTION:The Milwaukee Region SCCA invites you to come run the 11th Annual Badger Burrow Tour Rallye. The event is a brisk run through Wisconsin’s driftless and moraine region\, mainly in Green County. The glaciers skipped this area during the last ice age\, leaving behind a terrain filled with valleys and ridges. The course takes full advantage of the region. Expect many curves\, ups and downs\, and paved roads that are seldom straight. Many say these are among the best sports car roads in the country. \n\n\n\nWe will be using the Richta GPS Checkpoints automatic timing and scoring system. Contestants are expected to provide an Android or Apple smartphone capable of running this app. The app times you into the hidden controls and automatically provides you with a running score. Expect more than 50 timed controls over the approximately 120-mile course. Contestants can relax and tell rally tales during the two breaks in the 5-hour event. We hope to see you there. \n\n\n\nStart Location: Panera Bread \n\n\n\nFinish Location: The Thirsty Goat 3040 Cahill Main\, Fitchburg\, Wisconsin 53711  \n\n\n\nSchedule —Check-in opens: 9:00 AM and the First Car Off: 11:01 AMFirst Car Finished: Approx 4:15 PMCost: $40.00/car\, a minimum of 2 people per car is required.(+$15 SCCA Weekend Membership unless a least one person is an SCCA Member) \n\n\n\nPre-registration is required for this event at www.msreg.com/bbRallye23 F \n\n\n\nFor more information\, please contact Rallymaster Fred Rosevear.

SUMMARY:WI: Escape To Wisconsin Navigational Scatter
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Land of Lakes Region’s first Navigational Scatter (NavScat). For SCCA purposes\, it is sanctioned as a GTA (Games Touring Adventure). After this scatter rally\, we will be caravaning to Wisconsin Dells on our way to our final destination\, the Badger Burrow Divisional Tour\, in Fitchburg\, WI\, on Sunday. If you plan to run Badger Burrow\, you must pre-register\, as It fills quickly. \n\n\n\nNavigational Scatters were created to provide a rally challenge without the burden of staying on time.We track your progress using the MiRally transponders. Your course is converted to driving distance via GPS and Google Maps. This distance is how you will be scored. \n\n\n\nThere are several locations to visit. Plot the shortest route that takes you by all of them. Although a map will be provided\, you may use any device you want to aid you\, including online mapping. Google Maps is helpful but does not always give the shortest route. The route between the points offers many options. \n\n\n\nYou’ll have three hours and 20 minutes from the time you check in until the time you check in at the endpoint. This includes some extra time in case you make mistakes along the way. Your score is the total miles from start to end. There is a 30-mile penalty for each one you miss. \n\n\n\nYou will be asked to select a Class. No classes exist for the Escape to Wisconsin Navigational Scatter; your selection will be used for the SCCA LOL Championship. Head over to Motorsportreg and sign up today! \n\n\n\nYou are responsible for ensuring the following are in order:Headlights (high and low beams) and parking lightsTaillights and brake lightsHorn\, windshield wipers\, and directional signalsRear-view mirrorFoot brakes and parking brakeTires (inspect for the condition of sidewalls as well as tread)Seat belts\, securely installed for the driver and navigatorSafety triangle (optional)First Aid Kit (optional)Tow Rope (optional)Fire Extinguisher (optional)

SUMMARY:NY: Do It Again RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Finger Lakes Region invites you to join them for a little Spring Rally fun\, with its Do It Again RoadRally. It is a Social Rally and not apart of any series or serious points race. \n\n\n\nHere are the details: \n\n\n\n\nYou follow the course\, maintaining speeds below the posted speed limit.\n\n\n\nAs you follow the route\, you will be timed at locations unknown to you. All checkpoints will be closed (you do not stop at them.)\n\n\n\nThe course is approximately 31 miles and should take about 56 minutes to complete.\n\n\n\nTeams then repeat the course route at 2:00+car #.\n\n\n\nFor the second time around the route\, checkpoint signs will be out where the cars are timed again. The score will be how close the minute and hundredths is to the time you passed on the first loop (if you did it the first time\, you should be able to do it a second time\, right?)\n\n\n\nIf you take a TA on the second passage\, text it to the phone number on the routes with a mileage where it occurred. Once a TA is taken\, the TA time applies for the rest of the second loop.\n\n\n\nCars will have a window chalk or magnetic number on each side of the car so the checkpoint worker can identify the car as it passes.\n\n\n\nRoutes would be handed out to the teams at Registration\, at the event.\n\n\n\nThere will be a brief Driver’s meeting at 12:45\, before the event.\n\n\n\nThe results will be calculated after the event and also emailed to all competitors in case you have to leave.\,\n\n\n\nWe will do results at the finish as quickly as we can so we can share rally stories and enjoy some after event camaraderie.\n\n\n\n\nClasses:    Experienced (if any team member has done more than 5 rallies)    Novice (new to rally where neither team member has done more than 5 rallies) \n\n\n\nRegistration is online with MotorsportReg and you can click here for more information\, too.
