SUMMARY:CO: Rallye Glenwood Springs
DESCRIPTION:The Rallye Glenwood Springs\, now in it’s 73rd year is the longest continually-held car rallye in North America. It brings cars and drivers of all marques together for three days of driving fun. Friday June 6 is our TSD Rallye from Denver to Glenwood Springs\, followed by a Welcome Dinner for participants. Saturday’s event is a scenic gimmick rallye starting and finishing in Glenwood Springs\, and Sunday includes a car show and funkhana. The entry fee for those team competing in all three events\, and the car show\, is $99.00.\n\nThe rallye is a traditional Time Speed Distance (TSD) event and is challenging and devious\, but probably not diabolical. Our Ministers of Misdirection and Skullduggery (Rallye Masters) have avoided hard-to-see signs and other annoyances to ensure a fun and challenging rallye experience. Like last year\, we are using a GPS-based smart phone app called the Richta GPS Competitor to score Friday’s rallye\, which is a free and easy to use app that is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Be sure to download the Richta GPS Competitor app before arriving on Friday morning. \nAs always\, please bring a clipboard\, pen/pencil and paper\, stopwatch\, and a well-read copy of the Rallye General Instructions (downloaded from our website). Also bring a charger for your smart phone that you can use in the car.  The GPS function uses more power than the phone alone. One or more experienced rallyists will be available at the start location to answer questions and get you on your way. \nAll assigned speeds will be at or below posted speed limits. There will be breaks along the route\, including a lunch break. \nRallye Classes:\n\nNovice SOP (Seat of the Pants) – Rallyists are eligible for Novice class until they win a First Place or have competed in THREE TSD Rallyes. Pencil and paper calculations only.\nIntermediate SOP – Rallyists are eligible for Intermediate class until they have won First Place in Intermediate class.  Pencil and paper calculations only.\nExperienced SOP – No limit on experience. Pencil and paper calculations only. Rallye charts and tables are permitted.\nVintage – Any equipment must be period correct. Cars must have been manufactured before 1970.\nComputer – No limit on equipment.\n\nParticipants are expected to properly determine their Rallye class and enter it in Richta GPS Competitor. Failure to indicate your class in Richta GPS Competitor will place you in Experienced SOP class. \nAwards are given for first through fourth places in Novice and Intermediate classes\, and first through third places in Experienced\, Vintage\, and Computer classes. \n\nAll car brands (and their drivers) are welcome and no experience is necessary! Hosted by the MG Car Club – Rocky Mountain Centre\, this long-running and reasonably priced event includes fun competition\, beautiful roads\, and great cars.

SUMMARY:BC: Tour de North Rally 2025
DESCRIPTION:Come and join the Rally Association of Vancouver Island for the Tour de North\, a mostly rural mid island adventure! Challenge your friends to join in\, starting and ending in Courtenay. \nIt will be a fun day on scenic back roads\, mostly paved. The trick is to “stay on time” to avoid any time penalties. Remember\, this is not a race\, but a precision driving event that pits a team of two\, a Driver and a Navigator\, to negotiate some fantastic roads\, at challenging\, but below legal limit speeds. \nSure\, it sounds easy\, but it’s not! This is a true novice event\, so everything is clearly spelled out\, with easy to follow instructions\, recovery points if you get lost\, and talented rallyists with years of experience to (hopefully) get you into rallysport\, by answering questions and giving guidance. From the “Novice Drivers Meeting”\, scrutineering (checking that your car meets rally rules; also called Tech Check) your car\, throughout the event\, to the dinner and awards\, you will have a BLAST! \nSmiles and stories\, guaranteed. \n\n\n\nThe rally is sanctioned by Rally Pacific Motorsports (RPM\, the BC region of CARS)\, and follows the current BC Rally Regulations. \n\n\n\nThe event is limited to 30 entries\, so head over to MotorsportReg today\, where you’ll find more the Tech Check form\, Supplementals and more! This event will use Richta GPS Checkpoints\, which is free and available for both iOs and Android\, for scoring the event.

SUMMARY:NJ: Spring into Action! RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Spring into Action! with the SCCA South Jersey Region! \n  \n\n\n\nA Road Rally is an automobile competition where entrants drive a four-wheeled daily driver vehicle. Those vehicles could be a car\, a pickup truck\, an SUV\, or a sports car of any make or model. The teams consist of two people: a Driver and a Navigator. The events are held on public roads\, which are area backroads. Entrants in the Spring into Action RoadRally will be amazed at the lack of traffic encountered on the rally. The skill needed is to precisely drive the assigned average speeds. Those speeds are at or below the legal speed limit on the road. Entrants are given penalty points of 1 point per second early OR late they arrive at Timing Checkpoints. The course is unknown to the entrants at the beginning of the rally. A set of precise Route Instructions (directions) are given at the morning check-in. The cars start in one minute intervals and will be timed at approximately 60 locations during the rally. The entrants cell phone will time their car using the Richta app. The Richta app is free to the  download and use for the entrants. \nNo prior rally experience is necessary. This rally is designed to be accessible for teams new to the sport while still being a challenge for experienced teams. There are no tricky instructions. There is a 50 car/small truck limit to the number of entries. \nThe rally will use a smart phone app for timing the contestants’ arrival at the checkpoints. The app uses GPS information from your phone to record your arrival time and will\, within a tenth of a seconds\, tell you how early or late you arrived. The app will also display your total score as you progress through the checkpoints. All contestants must have a cell phone with them for the rally.  Cell phone signal strength is not an issue since you will download all the data needed to your phone prior to the rally. The app is free to download. Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search Richta. Download the Richta competitor app. \nYou only need the following things: \nAny 4 wheeled street legal and insured car or small truck. \nA team of two people consisting of a driver and navigator. \nDriver must posse a current driver’s license. \nPay the entry fee of $35 per car ($17.50 per person). All cars with an SCCA member on the team will only pay $35 per car to enter. Cars with no SCCA members must pay an additional $15 for SCCA membership for the weekend for both entrants and be covered by our club insurance. \nThe rally starts at Ciocca Corvette (430 N Albany Avenue\, Atlantic City\, NJ 08401). Day of event check in begins at 9:00 am\, Contestants meeting at 10 am\, Rally begins at 10:30 am. \nThe rally finishes at the Finish Line Pub at New Jersey Motorsports Park (8000 Dividing Creek Rd.\, Millville\, NJ 08332). First car should finish about 2:00pm. Trophy presentation will be about 2:30. \nSelect a Class as described below: Newbies should enter Stock \nStock: No limit on road rally calculating equipment but your mileage must be measured by the vehicle’s stock odometer located in its’ stock position. \nOpen: No limit on your road rally equipment\, trophy eligible at 5 cars entering this class. \nFor more information contact Jim Wakemen at either 609-634-0485 or jwakemen43@aol.com. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent requirements\n\nThe RoadRally will be conducted in full compliance with the Abridged Road Rally Rules (RRRs) as supplemented by the event’s General Instructions (GIs). \nEach rally team will be required to bring a smartphone that is equipped with the Richta Autonomous GPS Checkpoint App.  This app will monitor your car’s position during the rally and will record the precise time at which you arrive at each Timing Control on the rally.  Once you have arrived at a Timing Control\, the app will calculate your score for that leg and display it to you. \nEach rally team will be required to bring a completed emergency contact\, vehicle inspection\, and insurance form to registration when you perform on-site registration.

SUMMARY:• May the 4th Be With You Episode 2 RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Buccaneer Region’s most successful road rally is back! This time with more prizes\, more trivia\, and a route that follows Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones movie! \nNew for 2025!\nPrizes for best dressed or costume\, best decorated car\, best wookiee roar impression\, highest trivia score\, and more!\nEach team will be tasked with tracking down Padmé’s attempted assassin by traversing the busy streets of Coruscant. Then track the mysterious bounty hunter to Kamino where you’ll discover the droid army the Federation has been manufacturing in secret. After that\, it’s on to Geonosis where you’ll have to escape the Reek\, Acklay\, and Nexu before engaging in a lightsaber battle with Count Duku. After a battle well fought\, you’ll finally report back to the Jedi Council – for awards\, prizes\, and event wrap-up. \nThis event is an SCCA TSD (time-speed-distance) Road Rally\, where each vehicle will drive on paved public roads\, following a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Richta GPS Checkpoints mobile application. Participants will be scored based on their arrival time at each of the defined checkpoints. We will start at Panera\, located near downtown Jacksonville\, where cars will depart every 1 minute. The finish will be a sit-down restaurant at the Saint Johns Town Center\, where scoring\, awards\, and lunch will be available (you are responsible for purchasing your food; we encourage everyone to eat and support the location). \nNew to road rally or unsure what they’re all about? Check out RoadRally 101: Everything YOU need to know to Rally Your Car by Red Hen Racing on YouTube. It is somewhat lengthy\, yet a humorous video explanation. \nAny car is allowed\, provided it meets all Florida state laws and is insured to meet the state’s minimum requirements. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required at on-site registration. Each car is allowed as many people as there are seatbelts in the vehicle\, but each car is required to have at least 2 people: a Driver and a Navigator. There will be a starting location\, a calibration zone\, multiple free/transit zones\, and several unmanned checkpoints. Team numbers will be assigned\, but the starting order will be determined at random. \nThere are three available classes for this rally: Stock\, Limited\, and Seat of Your Pants. Visit https://www.scca.com/pages/roadrally-rules for official class descriptions and rules. Below are some examples of the types of setups used in each class. \n\nStock: Using your vehicle’s stock trip/odometer\, smartphone as a calculator\, and a stopwatch (perhaps the same or another smartphone). This is the most common class and recommended for novices.\nLimited: Using the car’s built in navigation system to show distance traveled\, a 3rd party GPS tracking system via mobile app (i.e. Richta Odometer\, Maps\, or a Odometer/Trip app)\, as long as that information isn’t transferable to the calculating device (i.e. can’t be the same smartphone running the app and calculations).\nSOP: Just your odometer\, pens/pencils\, stopwatch\, and gut instincts. No calculator of any kind.\n\nOnline registration for the driver and navigator is required at Motorsportreg.com! \nStarting Location: Panera Bread\nFinishing Location: Chuy’s\, 4914 Town Center Pkwy\, Jacksonville\, FL\nRegistration Fee: $30 for SCCA members\, $50 for non-SCCA members (Weekend Membership required)\nEstimated Duration: 35 miles\, 1.5 – 2hrs in duration (depending on traffic conditions in Coruscant and Geonosis)\, breaks are allowed along the way at your leisure.\nRequired Equipment: A Dedicated smartphone with the Richta GPS Checkpoint mobile app; the phone cannot be used while the rally is active. Download at https://richtarally.com/\nRecommended Equipment: Clipboard\, pencils/pens\, highlighters\, stopwatches (smartphone ok)\, calculator\, secondary (and/or 3rd) smartphone \nEvent Schedule:\nThursday May 1st 11:59pm – Online event registration closes\nSunday May 4th 9:15am – On-site check in opens\nSunday May 4th 10:00am – First car out\nSunday May 4th 12:00pm (estimated) – First car arrives\nSunday May 4th 1:00pm (estimated) – Award ceremony \n

SUMMARY:AZ: 35th Annual Copperstate 1000
DESCRIPTION:The 35th annual Bell Lexus North Scottsdale Copperstate 1000\, presented by the Men’s Arts Council\, returns to Arizona\, April 5-9\, 2025. It is one of North America’s most celebrated vintage car road rallies\, showcasing some of the finest working examples of vintage\, sports\, racing\, classic\, and grand touring automobiles manufactured before the 1974 model year. \n“Each year\, we see some of the world’s most unique cars take part in this exciting event\,” said\nScott McPherson\, Copperstate 1000 Chairman and Men’s Art Council member. “We’re thrilled to continue this tradition in 2025\, bringing together car enthusiasts and participants of all ages in our community. We invite everyone to join us on Sunday\, April 6\, to admire the incredible cars\, chat with the drivers\, and cheer them off on the Rally.” \nThe public and fans of all ages can view the cars participating in the Copperstate 1000 before they depart for their journey at the Copperstate send-off event. It will take place at Tempe Diablo Stadium on Sunday\, April 6\, beginning at 7:30 AM\, where the vehicles are lined up around the outfield and announced as they begin to depart at 10:00 AM. \nThere will also be a local car show in the West lot of the stadium from 7:30 to 11:30 AM. Local car enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their cars for display in the West lot. Coffee and donuts will also be available in the West parking lot. \nIn honor of the 35th anniversary\, the 2025 Copperstate 1000 will add thrilling new routes\, taking drivers through diverse landscapes to discover hidden scenic gems that enhance the journey already known for crossing beautiful desert terrains\, river verdant valley\, and alpine landscapes across Arizona and beyond. \nThis year\, 80 vintage automobiles journeyed\, with drivers and navigators from the United States\, Canada\, Mexico\, and Europe. The connections created at these rallies often blossom into lifetime friendships\, and many attendees return year after year. The lineup of cars included 19 Porsches\, 15 Ferraris\, 12 Jaguars\, 4 Aston Martins\, and various American muscle cars. The lightest car is a 1965 Griffith that weighs only 1800 pounds\, in contrast to the oldest car\, a 1929 Bentley that has long-term ownership and weighs 4800 pounds. \n“The Copperstate 1000 is one of the most unique events in town\,” said Bell Lexus North Scottsdale. “The route is always different\, and the Men’s Art Council puts a lot of time and effort into making this one of the best car events in the country. It’s fun to network\, mingle\, and meet new friends along the way.” \nBell Lexus North Scottsdale has been the title sponsor of the Copperstate 1000 for over 20 years and plays an intricate role in the rally’s success. The luxury car dealer lends the special event five brand new vehicles in the event that a rally car is not able to finish. \n“This is the biggest and best free-to-attend car show in the state\,” added McPherson. \nAt Road Rally eNews\, we love this video produced from the 2017 COPPERSTATE 1000! \n2017 COPPERSTATE 1000

SUMMARY:MN: Alligator Slide Winter Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:If you love spirited driving on backroads\, our dual-rally weekend with the Flamethrower Road Rally and Alligator Slide is for you! Here are two great winter rallies in one weekend; you can run these rallies in your street car with no special modifications. Grab a friend\, and let’s go! \n\n\n\nAlligator Slide Rally is a brisk Regularity (TSD) Rally that invites you to compete from Winona back to Red Wing on some of Wisconsin’s best driving roads. The course pits you against the same fun and challenging driving weather conditions in Flamethrower\, but includes a mix of paved & gravel roads sure to keep you on your toes! You may expect to encounter sandy areas\, snow\, and possibly some ice. “Alligator Slide” refers to a classic driftless-area rally road that hasn’t been run in many years- until now! \n\n\n\nWhen both are out rallying\, they are rivals\, yet Rallymaster Ted Rurup is sharing this weekend with Tyler Linner and the Flamethrower Road Rally\, which runs on Saturday\, February 22nd. Registration for both events and more information about the rallies is available at www.motorsportreg.com. \n\n\n\nWhen posting this event\, the 200-mile Alligator Slide is anticipated to be ± six hours\, and its starting time was not established.

\n\n\n\nFlamethrower Rally is a brisk Regularity (TSD) Rally that invites you to compete from Red Wing to Winona on some of Minnesota’s best driving roads. The course takes advantage of the elevation changes\, natural twisty gravel backroads\, and challenging winter conditions in the valleys flowing into the Mississippi River. Road conditions can range from frozen gravel to snow and even some ice. \n\n\n\nThis year\, we will also enjoy several very twisty single-lane minimum-maintenance roads! No ground clearance issues were found while prerunning with a stock economy car. “Flamethrower” refers to Lucas Flamethrower’s driving lights because much of this rally will be held at dusk and nighttime! \n\n\n\nWhen both are out rallying\, they are rivals\, yet Rallymaster Tyler Linner shares this weekend with Ted Rurup and the Alligator Slide Rally\, which runs on Sunday\, February 23rd. Registration for both events and more information about the rallies is available at www.motorsportreg.com.

SUMMARY:OH: Ohio Winter RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2025 Ohio Winter Rally (OWR) on February 1! This annual hivernal tour of the Lake Erie “snowbelt” counties of far northeastern Ohio dates back to at least 1966. It was one of the core events of the long-lamented Ohio Rally Championship (ORC) series. \n\n\n\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally\, with an emphasis on precise timing at well-placed controls. Columnar “tulip” style route instructions\, with Official Mileages for all action points (similar to a stage rally routebook)\, will be used. The ~165-mile route will wind through Ohio’s Geauga\, Ashtabula\, and surrounding counties. \n\n\n\nPrevailing road and weather conditions will dictate the rally’s difficulty. Competitors should come prepared to spend extended periods outside in severe winter conditions.  \n\n\n\nTo help teams with limited prior timekeeping experience stay on schedule and to mitigate the possibility of “double jeopardy” penalties from carrying a timing error through multiple controls\, parenthetical perfect cumulative leg times will be provided at all speed change locations. This will be done through the Richta GPS Checkpoints app\, available as a free download for your smart device. \n\n\n\nRegistration and more information are available on motorsportreg.com. However\, it is important to note that there will be no on-site registration\, and online registration closes on Wednesday\, January 29th. \n\n\n\nThe rally will count toward both the SCCA Great Lakes Division (GLD) Rally Championship and the SCCA National Touring Rally (NTR) Championship (Divisional Rally).

SUMMARY:GA: SEDiv Convention RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA Buccaneer Region is excited to announce our latest road rally event and our first 2025 — Road Rally Event #1\, which will be held at the SEDiv Annual Convention. Each car will drive on paved public roads using a set of predefined route instructions through various checkpoints using the Richta GPS Checkpoint app\, a free app downloaded to your smart device from the Apple Store or GooglePlay. \n\n\n\nParticipants will be scored based on their arrival time at each defined checkpoint. We will start at the conference hotel\, where cars depart 1 minute apart. We will also finish at the conference hotel\, where scoring and lunch will be available (you are responsible for purchasing your food; we encourage everyone to eat and support the location).  \n\n\n\nAre you new to road rallies or unsure what this is all about? Check out this (somewhat lengthy but humorous) video explanation.  \n\n\n\nAny car that meets all Georgia state laws and is insured to meet the state’s minimum insurance requirements is allowed. A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance will be required at on-site registration. Each car is allowed as many people as there are seat belts in the vehicle\, but each car is suggested to have at least two people: a Driver and a Navigator. There will be a starting location\, five (5) unmanned checkpoints\, followed by a sixth checkpoint at the finishing location. Team numbers will be assigned but the starting order will be determined randomly. \n\n\n\nThree classes for this rally are available: Stock\, Limited\, and Seat of Your Pants. Visit https://www.scca.com/pages/roadrally-rules for official class descriptions and rules. Below are some examples of the types of setups used in each class.  \n\n\n\nOnline registration for the driver and navigator is required. To register and for more information\, visit motorsportreg.com today! \n\n\n\nFrom RReNews\, we think it is a fantastic way to “expose” our sport to those who enjoy other SCCA-sanctioned motorsports. We look forward to hearing the story and seeing the scores!

SUMMARY:CA Cal Club First Friday Niter Social Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join Rallymaster Joanna Weissen for the last FFN by the Cal Club Region Santa Monica Sports Car Club as they go on hiatus. Last year’s January FFN\, the rally will be a tour (no traps) focusing on Christmas light displays\, which were spectacular\, with many lights and a few massive displays. It will likely run in Burbank and/or Glendale and likely finish at the IHOP on Glendale Ave in Glendale.  \n\n\n\nThis rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. It is available on the App Store or Google Play Store or at https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks—your Official Time shows in the app! Download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app\, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online at www.msreg.com/FFN012025. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start of the SMSCC events. However\, it helps the organizers print adequate copies of the route instructions and confirm the numbers for the ending location. We start at the Bank of America rear lot in Mission Hills. In-person registration opens at 7:00 p.m.\, with the first car out at 8:01 p.m. There is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 p.m. \n\n\n\nIs your usual rally partner not available for this FFN? Let Jeanne know\, and she will attempt (with no guarantees) to match you up with another rallyist. Contact Jeanne at ean21@juno.com.  \n\n\n\nAfter the January FFN\, we will switch to the SMEMSS rallies — Santa Monica Even Month Second Saturday rallies. Yes\, daytime! Please join us for these daytime rallies on the second Saturday morning of even months (February\, April\, and so on). It’s amazing what you can see along the routes in the daylight. They will start at the same place as the FFNs\, the Bank of America rear lot in Mission Hills. In-person registration will open at 9:00 am\, and the first car will be out at 10:01 am\, and it will take approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete. For a list of the dates\, go to www.smscc.org and click “Next Day Rally.” We will be posting more information on MotorSportReg soon.
