DESCRIPTION:The Ron Dunlop Trophy Rally is an SCCA Regional Tour Rally sponsored by the Into the Night Rally Team. Non-SCCA members are welcome. DESCRIPTION:Cascade Sports Car Club’s Road Rally program (aka Cascade Geargrinders) offers beginner-friendly time-speed-distance road rallies\, lasting three to four hours\, starting and ending in the Portland area. These events are open to everyone – club members and non-members\, all types of vehicles. Road rally is a game you play while going for a drive in the country. Play the game that takes you places. Season Flyer \n\n\n\nThe Cascade Geargrinders Saturday Road Rally Series kicks into gear on March 18. The March rally is the first of six in the Series. Teams who run three or more of the six rallies are eligible for Series Awards. There will be a Zoom Rally School 7 PM Friday evening. Registration and more information are available here at MotorsportReg. \n\n\n\nThe March 18 rally starts in northwest Portland and ends in Scappoose. The route is about 90 miles and takes about 3 1/2 hours to complete. SUMMARY:NY: Slip Sliding Away Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the final event of the Finger Lakes Region SCCA Winter Rally Series\, Slip Sliding Fever 2023 — on Saturday the 4th of March\, 2023. In keeping with the Winter Rally Series format\, this is an evening TSD rally run at speeds within the local speed limits. This event will run about 200 totalmiles of paved\, dirt\, muddy and possibly(?) snowy roads. \n\n\n\nAt least two people make up a rally team—a Driver and a Navigator. Route instructions are provided in Tulip diagram format (line drawings of each intersection) with mileages provided. Teams should have a wrist or stopwatch\, a calculator\, flashlight\, and a pen. A novice school will be available prior to the drivers meeting to help first-timers out. \n\n\n\nAll cars are required to have all-season tires in good condition\, but are strongly encouraged to have snow tires. All teams and cars are also required to have a valid driver’s license\, a current inspection sticker\, proof of insurance\, a tow-rope\, and flares or a reflective triangle.

DESCRIPTION:On March 3\, 2023\, grab your favorite musketeer and join the Santa Monica Sports Car Club and guest Rallymaster Joe Batwinis for the 3rd First Friday Niter of the year. There will be three legs with three stages per leg on this Tour rally of the Sierra Pelona Ridge. There are no traps this month and plenty of free zones to enjoy some of the region’s best driving roads. Just ensure you’re on time outside those free zones because the checkpoints are unmarked – like the pre-app days.  \n\n\n\nOn that note\, this rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring\, with timing in seconds. This month’s maximum penalty is 60 seconds (1 minute) per checkpoint. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/; there is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks as your Official Time shows in the app!  \n\n\n\nAlso\, if you want to see all the scores at the Finish\, download the FREE Richta Scoreboard app. \n\n\n\nPlease try to register online at msreg.com/FFN032023. This helps us figure out how many sets of instructions to print\, trophies\, etc. If that doesn’t work for you\, you can still register in person at the start. We start in the rear lot of the Bank of America. In-person registration opens at 7:00 pm\, with the first car out at 8:01 pm; there is a beginner/Richta meeting at 7:40 pm. \n\n\n\nThe rally will finish at IHOP\, 1225 Truman St.\, San Fernando\, CA 91340. DESCRIPTION:Find Another Opportunity\, the first TSD RoadRally of the 2023 Rally Season for the Southern Indiana Region\, takes place on Sunday\, February 26th\, by Rallymaster Bob Sonntag. \n\n\n\nThe route is all paved. Not all of it nicely paved; but\, it is all paved…except the antique bridge that’s more planked than paved. The route runs from Hardee’s in Evansville through Vanderburgh\, Warrick\, and Spencer counties to get to Turoni’s Pizza in Newburg\, Indiana. \n\n\n\nIf you’re new to TSD (Time/Speed/Distance) rallies\, plan on being at Hardee’s by noon. SUMMARY:MN: Land O' Lakes Region Flamethrower Divisional RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:The Flamethrower Rally is a Regularity Rally run in MN part of the Driftless area. The course traverses the Valleys flowing into the Mississippi River\, taking advantage of the elevation changes and natural twisty roads in the valleys.  \n\n\n\nOnly two people are allowed in the car. If your navigator is a minor a special release is required.  \n\n\n\nNo special equipment is required. A smart phone with built in GPS will make it a lot easier and more fun. A free app is available from your favorite app store. The app not only provides the timing but also provides a digital roadbook similar to the one used at Dakar in 2021 and 2022. The app also does all calculations for you so that you always know if you are on time.  \n\n\n\nFor those without a smartphone or their own navigation systems we have SmartControl devices to do the timing. \n\n\n\nWe suggest you use the Rabbit Rally app to run this event. The details of the itinerary and the various controls shall be set out in the time card.  \n\n\n\nAll registration material will be either online or emailed to you so you can fill out before arrival. The exception is the SCCA Waiver which we must witness.

DESCRIPTION:The long-awaited Winter Challenge Road Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region\, by Rallymaster John Buffum. We encourage you to check the Winter Challenge Road Rally website for more information.   \n\n\n\nThe Winter Challenge Rally weekend\, presented by Vermont SportsCar\, will consist of a single SCCA New England Region rally running from 4 pm Saturday until 1 am Sunday with two breaks. Although no car-breaking roads will be used\, most of the roads chosen are rural\, unpaved roads\, which will undoubtedly be snow and ice-covered.  \n\n\n\nFor 2023\, the anticipated classes may be: \n\n\n\n\nClass A    Calculating equipment may receive direct input from a mileage-measuring device. Typical calculating devices in this Class include Alfa\, Chronar\, Timewise\, and Zeron rally computers.\n\n\n\nClass L    If distance information is acquired only from a mechanical odometer\, it must be manually fed into any calculation device; the distance measuring device must be separate from the calculation device.  (e.g. Curta calculators\, tables\, laptop computers\, electronic APP\, programmable and nonprogrammable electronic calculators. If the distance information is derived solely from GPS signals\, then any electronic APP may be used.\n\n\n\nClass S   Distance information must be visually acquired from the vehicle’s stock\, non-adjustable odometer in the stock location.

DESCRIPTION:The PCA Metro Porsche Club of America proudly announces that the 2023 Road Rally season will start on Sunday\, February 5th\, with the 67th Snowflake Rally. Snowflake is the premier rally of Metro PCA. It is reported to be one of the\, if not the oldest\, continuously run events in PCA. \n\n\n\nHistorically Snowflake has been a TSD (time speed distance) rally. Participants are given speeds to travel\, and the time they are to start each section of instructions given to follow the route. The more accurate you are at maintaining the speeds the better you will do when we record your due time at unannounced places.  \n\n\n\nThis year there will be two classes. The “Expert” Class is for those with rally experience\, and the “Touring” Class will teach how to stay on time with hints at many turns as you follow the route. \n\n\n\nThe Rally will end at the Birchwood of Polish Town for a Private Sunday Brunch. \n\n\n\nCome and join us for a fun-filled adventure as we explore some of the most scenic roads on Long Island’s East End. \n\n\n\nDriving a Porsche is not required (but encouraged) ALL cars and SUVs are welcome. (I will drive our Cayenne). Remember\, it is the Snowflake Rally\, so bring an appropriate vehicle for the weather. DESCRIPTION:Tanned\, rested and ready… A northeast Ohio tradition since 1966 is back! Neohio Region\, SCCA invites you to enter the 2023 Ohio Winter Rally. The ~165 mile route will traverse portions of northeast Ohio’s Lake Erie “snowbelt” counties.\n\n\n\nCompetitors can expect an absolutely straightforward\, gimmick-free\, Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) road rally with emphasis on precise timing at well placed controls. The maximum penalty this month is 120 seconds (2 minutes) per leg.This app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone.Go to the App Store or Google Play Store\, or https://richtarally.com/. SUMMARY:CA: San Diego "It's a Pie Run!" Road Rally
DESCRIPTION:The SCCA San Diego Region is back with It’s a Pie Run! Road Rally on Saturday\, December 3rd. The first car departs around 9A and should be finishing before Noon. A beginner’s video will be shared online the week before the event. The Driver’s meeting will be held on the morning of the event\, around 830A\, at the Freeport Road Park & Ride.  \n\n\n\nTeams will enjoy the twisty back roads of San Diego Country\, covering ±75 miles on fun-to-drive country roads\, following legal limits\, before finishing up at The Cooler\, Tap & Tasting Room near Julian\, CA. \n\n\n\nThe entry fee is $25 per car; one member must be an SCCA Member\, and SCCA Weekend Memberships are available during Registration for $15. These can be used as a credit toward a full SCCA Membership. \n\n\n\nYou will need paper and a pencil/pen\, a watch or clock with a second hand; a stopwatch and a clipboard will be helpful. The object of a navigational rally is to follow the rally course at the assigned (legal) speeds and arrive at each checkpoint precisely on time\, not early or late. Your score on each leg of the rally is based on how early or late you arrive at each checkpoint. All teams must have a smartphone or tablet with the Richta GPS Competitor app to enter. \n\n\n\nA valid Driver’s License and proof of current liability insurance are required. Your vehicle must meet basic safety standards (e.g.\, lights\, brakes\, windshield wipers\, and the horn must work). Each vehicle participating shall have at least two participants\, a Driver and a Navigator. Passengers are allowed\, but no more than can safely be carried in the car\, and they must sign a Speedwaiver and register for the event. \n\n\n\nResults will be posted online\, and trophies will be awarded to the top finishers in each competition class. This Time / Speed / Distance (TSD) rally will serve as a great introduction to the sport\, as well as provide veteran rallyists a chance to dust off their skills in advance of our Winter Series starting in December. SUMMARY:NJ: Fun With Cars Day Ciocca Corvette Rally
DESCRIPTION:The Ciocca Corvette Road Rally (CCRR) is a Time-Speed-Distance(TSD) Road Rally sanctioned by the SCCA South Jersey Region set to run on Saturday\, November 12th. The CCRR will begin at Ciocca Corvette and end at Oyster Creek Inn. Entry for the 2022 CCRR is limited to 30 cars\, so don’t delay registering! \n\n\n\nAll the roads used on the Rally are scenic paved back roads with little traffic that are fun to drive. Each Car will be given a set of route instructions that shows the contestants the roads upon which to travel. These instructions also tell exactly how fast to drive. All speeds are at or below the posted safe speed limits along the route. All cars will accrue a one (1) point penalty for each one (1) second early or late they arrive at each Timing Control. A Rally is not a Race. Driving fast is not the object. The Contestants that control their speed the best will be the winners. Cars are spaced apart in 1-minute intervals. Car 1 begins the CCRR rally at 10:31A. The Rally Committee calculates the perfect entry time at each control by using the assigned Speed over the measured Distance to determine the perfect Time. (Thus\, a TSD rally). \n\n\n\nThe winners of the Road Rally\, like golf\, are the lowest score. Our rally is designed for contestants with little or no rally experience. Trophies will be awarded to cars with the three lowest scores\, the lowest all-female team\, and the car that finishes in last place. \n\n\n\nContestants will need to download the Richta GPS Competitor app before the day of the rally. The App is used to time your progress. The exact time each car reaches all the Timing Controls will be recorded by your cell phone in the rally car using the Richta Competitor app. The app will then verbally announce how far off the official time you arrived\, including if you were early or late. The Richta GPS Competitor app is free to download via the Apple or GooglePlay stores. Details of how to download and use the app will be sent to all contestants via Email after you register for the rally. \n\n\n\nThe Rally finishes at Oyster Creek Inn\, a very popular with residents for its excellent food.  See their menu. Please Note: Leeds Point is the birthplace of the Jersey Devil. SUMMARY:NH: New England Region Big Lap RoadRally
DESCRIPTION:Big Lap Rally\, sanctioned by the SCCA New England Region\, will run on Saturday\, November 5th. The rally starts at Mcdonald’s in Epsom\, NH. This auto event will challenge teams of a Driver and a Navigator to follow tulip instructions as they explore approximately 160 miles of central NH backroads. Expert teams will be challenged to stay on course and on time. Novices are welcome\, and they should have no problem following the tulip instructions. Paved and unpaved public roads will be used\, and while all vehicles are welcome\, it may not be suitable for all cars\, especially lowered cars. The event is not a race; all speeds are within posted speed limits. \n\n\n\nThe Richta GPS App will be used for timing and scoring\, so all teams must download the app to their smartphone or tablet. \n\n\n\nOnline registration closes November 3rd\, and we encourage you to register online at Motorsportreg. Mailed registration forms must be postmarked by November 1st.  \n\n\n\nRegistration is open 8A-915A Saturday\, with a 930A meeting for all contestants. The team departs at 10A + their car number in minutes. There will be a lunch break at about 1P in Tilton\, NH\, and the rally and Award Presentation will be at Northwoods Brewing\, Northwood\, NH about 430P. \n\n\n\nEntry fees for SCCA Members: $45 and Non-Members: $55\, which includes an SCCA Weekend membership required for non-SCCA members. DESCRIPTION:Ghouls Gambol Rally\, celebrating its 56th anniversary\, will run on Saturday\, October 29. Rallymasters Monte and Victoria Saager are planning a ghoulish affair. You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll howl at the moon. Well\, maybe not that last part since it will be daylight. \n\n\n\n\n\nCascade Sports Car Club proudly presents the Halloween tradition. Ghouls Gambol is a fun drive on scenic country roads through the autumn-colored countryside and includes both tricks and treats. Who says you don’t have a ghost of a chance?
